Ohana Eye Care Reviews

First time patient at Ohana Eye Care. Called on a Thursday. Got in on a Monday. Very quick. My bet is if you want one of the evening hour appointments it'll take longer but that's the trade-off for the convenience. I don't think may optometrists are even open past 5pm. You need to adapt to their schedule. So this is a nice touch. Scheduled for a 2pm appointment. Arrived 10 minutes early to do the obligatory paperwork. Finished paperwork at 2pm and saw Dr. Kwok immediately after. Who knew a doc could keep an appointment time :) Again, nice touch and great customer/patient service. Exam was efficient and thorough. Dr. Kwok explained the issue (just a minor thing with my reading glasses) and why I was having some of the problems I was having... again nothing major but she took the time to explain the nuts and bolts of what was going on with my eyes. Didn't really need any regular prescription glasses but I expected to get the "full press" when I went back out to the waiting/eyeglass area. They weren't "salesy" AT ALL on selling me something I didn't really need. So this sealed the deal for me... Ohana Eye Care is my new optometrist! Thanks Dr. Kwok.

My family goes to Ohana Eye Care. We really appreciate the patient thoughtful and thorough approach Dr. Kwok takes with each of us. Front office staff is helpful, and Jeff is very good with setting up new glasses, or helping assess the condition of existing ones.

Incredible personal service. I met Dr Kwok at Target Optical and followed her to her new private practice 3 years ago because of the unique, thorough and personal approach to her practice. Her staff is very helpful and makes you feel like part of a big family. They will work with you until your lenses are perfect. This kind of service is rare in this business.

I have been coming here for many years and there is no other place that I would rather go to. From the moment I walk in to the last step out, nothing but smiles and amazing service. I get all my questions answered and I am provided so much information about my contacts and glasses. If I feel that I am not comfortable with a pair, they will try their best to help me find something more suitable. I will continue to refer family and friends here. They are amazing and more than willing to work with you on any issues you may have.

I found Ohana Eye Care after being treated horribly at another eye care office in Peoria. Dr. Kwok was very kind and thorough and gave me the correct eye glass prescription. Because I was suffering for a year with the wrong prescription given to me from another location, I did research to find Ohana Eye Care. Her positive reviews lived up to my experience. My vision is now corrected with my new glasses from Dr. Kwok. My experience at Ohana Eye Care was wonderful. I highly recommend this location for eye care needs, and you will not be sorry you went to Ohana Eye Care.

I absolutely love this place! They have the sweetest staff. They do all they can to help you with your needs. I have 2 boys that have broke their glasses and through the warranty, Ohana has helped us replace them without any problems.
Their style selection is awesome and they offer all lens treatments.
The doctor is just as nice as can be.
I love that I can text them and that they quickly respond.

Really liked this place. Great hours. Great doctor, Dr. Kwok who explains everything well and actually has a sense of humor. I recommend this place to EVERYONE. :)

The staff are incredibly helpful, polite, and provide great service. This office is a bit of a drive for me, but I will continue to go out of my way to give these wonderful people business. As a bonus, they provide free refills on lens cleaner if you bring in their branded bottle. Not sure if Gabby still works there, but thank you so much for helping me pick the perfect pair of glasses!

Dr Kwok and her staff have taken amazing, tremendous care of our family. They have provided exceptional service, alerted us to things we should watch for, and provided quality products and always helped with any warranty issues. They have also cared for us as true Ohana, mourning the loss of my husband, a fellow patient, when he passed away last year and extending a truly caring hand if we needed it. Highly highly recommend!

I absolutely love Dr. Alice Kwok and her entire team! I have always had to go to an ophthalmologist for my eyes. I took a chance in 2015 when I came across reviews of Ohana Eye Care and have been a loyal customer since. Dr. Kwok exceeded every expectation I had! She is very knowledgeable, thorough, genuinely kind and truly cares about her patients. She, along with her entire team deliver nothing short of excellent customer service! On my recent vacation I lost a couple of my contact lenses and needed a partial refill. They contacted me today to tell me they arrived and then went as far as to hand-deliver them to my house this evening! AMAZING! No matter where I live in this valley, she will always be my eye doctor!!!!! 100% recommend Ohana Eye Care!

Ohana Eye Care is the best. Dr. Kwok is outstanding. Best optometrist I've ever been to. She uses the best equipment, and includes in her exam the retina photos. I used to go another eye care businesss down the street, and in their exam, those guys were charging extra for retina photos (which allow you to also see your retinas on a computer screen), then they raised the price, so I looked around for a new optometrist office. Found Dr. Kwok, and she includes that in the exam at no extra charge! And where the other place uses this awkward cube-shaped camera that you have to smush your face up against a glass panel, Dr. Kwok uses much better camera equipment to comfortably take the photos of the retinas, where you don't plaster your face against a glass front. And....she also does an OCT scan that produces a cross-sectional view of your maculas. This is a nice addition which most optometrists don't do. The OCT scan to look at the maculas is important, especially for older people who are more prone to macula issues. I will be her patient as long as I live in this area.

Great service and friendly staff!! They take great care of you here, and they care about you. They don't rush your eye exam or your purchase. I've been a repeat customer!! Very satisfied

I am new to the area so when I searched for eye care I looked for the closest one to home I called 3 other offices before this one and I got rejected because I needed an appointment...I called ohana eye care and sure enough they squeezed me in even though they didn't have to. on top of that the experience I had once I arrived was completely professional speedy and neat. all of the staff took in interest in my satisfaction. I would absolutely recommend this office to everyone. especially if you've had bad experiences anywhere else.

Absolutely loved it here. 1st time experience and they knocked it out the park. Very informative, understanding, and for me I'm weird but the way you take care of your practice says a lot about you, and hers is clean and very organized. 100% recommend this place!

I have a "unique" prescription that over the years no company has gotten right the first time. I was totally shocked when I went in today to pick up my new glasses. They are perfect. The staff is totally professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Kwok is a joy. She explained the process as we went along and answered all of my questions. I can't be happier with my experience at Ohana Eye Care on Union Hills. I was so happy I left my old sunglasses for new lenses and I am not worried about them at all.

Great place for your optometry needs. Always professional; friendly and just a pleasure to do business with. Also the best place I've ever used for Maui Jim sunglasses. I've purchased three pairs there since I discovered them and would never go anywhere else for prescription or plain sunglasses.

Great experience from the beginning. Front desk, Doctor and assistant with glasses are all very friendly and helpful. They didnt push me into some glasses like other places. I Highly recommend them!!! You won't be disappointed.
