Worst experience. It was my builder s lawyer but they still charged me more than 1300 $. They were talking on behalf of my builder only. It was like that they don t care about us.

I've worked on a several files with Ogilvie, specifically on real estate transactions, and its safe to say that they have vast experience and offer proper and "realistic" advice on sale and lease transactions. Very professional and they always manage to close transactions seamlessly.

The person who was present to sign paperwork of my new house....great. She was very thorough and explained everything and was very patient. However, the legal assistant is extremely rude. When I didn t get my paperwork after two months of possession, I decided to inquire in case it got lost or just to ask if they are in the process. She made the point to say this three times, this takes time and I am pulling out your file. I should be doing this in sequence but I am pulling out your file cause you emailed. It doesn t happen in an instance and. Bla bla bla . Well girl I didn t ask you to send it to me right now and this instance. All i asked was if you sent it cause I don t want it to get lost. It was an inquiry. Not a threat. Stop being so defensive over simple questions people have. AND a reply to the email could have helped so I wouldn t have to call you after I got no response. All you had to say was oh its in the process, don t worry :/

Poor services. They are only concerned about your money and even then they do not like to accommodate you.
Their hours suck.

Called to inquire about representation for a condo sale, the conveyancer I spoke with was very abrupt and rude. Didn't seem interested in answering any of my questions. Going to find another law firm...

I used this law firm for the sale of my old home and purchase of my new home. They managed to screw up every step of the way on the sale of my old home. They forgot to get me to sign documents, I ended up getting my keys late for my new home, they gave the keys for my old home late and also forgot to get confirmation documents for the mortgage which resulted in my receiving my funds late. Not only did the manage to screw up every step of the way, the location is the heart of downtown (inconvenient for driving and parking) and their fees are also quite high.

They don't respond to emails or calls. You have to beg them to work on your file. They are very lazy People.

These incompetents managed to completely screw up the purchase of my new home, which ended in me not getting my possession date. BTW they let me know ON my possession date that this would not be happening.
They got the paperwork well in advance, didn't bother to start working on it until the last minute and dropped the ball at every turn. On top of everything else, they still charged me despite dropping my file on the day of and not performing any duties that led to my possession. If I could give them minus stars, I would.

Denis has represented myself and my family twice. The last time was for removing Tennant's who where bad on rent and caused 30-40 thousand in damages. 6 days after Denis won our case the house was set on fire with hot oil left on the stove.
Denis knowing about our youngest daughter's kydney disease and our provincial move, and the loss we took with renters and such, Denis wavied the remainder of our fee, which was fairly significant.
We can not thank you enough Denis !

Met with James to go over all the paperwork needed for the purchase of our condo, very professional.

We used this law firm at the suggestion of our real estate agent and what a mess. Everything seemed to go smoothly till now.

We never actually met the lawyer that was dealing with our stuff so I can't say anything about them but the people we have dealt with (we are on number 3 now) have not been very helpful.

In dealing with a matter they will not return my phone calls or emails and when I do talk to them they say it is the other lawyer and they will get back to me and don't. Which is very frustrating since it has to do with my home and we've been dealing with it for over a year now.

By far the absolute best lawyers in the city and the province Matt and Rob are a couple of pitbulls who will fight on your side

Some people don't like lawyers, probably because they didn't hire the right one. When you do, you learn really quick that they are worth every penny. I have used Ogalvy mainly for business and realiaste and all my dealings have been dealt with professionally accurately and on time. I'm very happy with Ogalvy and my team of lawyers. Great job.
