Cal Poly, is NOT a good school at all .. They treat visitors very bad...I would never put any of my kids in that low end dump.....plus i'll never refer anyone to that place. Donna in parking is a very rude & disrespectful....In my 25 years of owning retail stores I have learned that when your employees treat people bad it always comes from the top..DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE...

This has been a good school but some of the older professors at the EE Dept were not very good at teaching but the new ones were wonderful. This school has a nice open gym for basketball. And you could park outside if you don't mind walking for a bit. Parking had been terrible for at least 15 years so I guess it's not getting better. I know that CS and CE are other good majors to take here. Also you could either buy used books outside or rent at cheaper prices at the Bronco bookstore.

The school is great with high and potential opportunities. However, the school's system is a joke. When adding classes, you better have seniority or you will have a hard time adding classes. Basically you are place in a waiting list, which is understandable, but even if you are in the first or second place the chances are very vague. Good luck if you get one! The staff at the registrar's office are the worst, they are mean, pretentious, obnoxious, and rude (my personal experience on several times that I've been there). When you talk to them it feels like you own them something. Guess what staff! We are paying your salary. The school is not letting us coming for free. We pay thousands of dollars to get this kind of treatment, really? bullshit! I do have to say that professors, on the other hand, are highly qualify. They help you in many ways, they understand students, they are available most of the time, they work with you. In conclusion, if you are coming here, find a way to have a seniority to get your classes on time, and avoid registrar's staff or have the least contact with them.

1.) most of the programs are impacted from this school.
2.) the environment smells like horse poop and needs to be clean.
3.) the staff was pretty informational about the golden 4 for community college students so students can transfer to a cal state after they have completed upper division coursework.

The campus is very nice and open. As we walked through the green campus, we were able to witness all the rose gardens, the Japanese gardens, in addition to trees everywhere. Class sizes are moderate with the largest being around 150 students in a business lecture hall. The most popular majors are business, engineering, and aerospace engineering which is the school's specialty. Tuition is cheaper than UC schools at around $12,000, including dorms. Overall, the school is very beautiful and a ton of construction is going on right now so I expect it to be even better in the future.

I currently work at the University. I think overall it's a good experience. The students are smart and friendly. The other staff members are friendly as well. My only major gripes is the boring design of the campus. It seems like all the builds are the same, and the naming conventions of the buildings don't help either.
