This post office is a joke. Saturday is the only available day to go to post office since during the week days it closes when I finish my work. Only one person at the till. 16 people a long queue.

I didn't think it would be the case, but it really is as bad as the reviews say. Only three self service machines (if you're lucky and they're all working, which is not always the case), one of which is cash only... No one will call you forward when one becomes available so you'll just be waiting in the neverending queue for the office, then wait some more for someone to become available (if they notice you) to hand your parcels over after using the self service, as there's no where to leave them. Clearly understaffed, overworked, and unable to handle the queues properly. Will have to find another way to post, as this is just a waste of time and energy. Such a shame.
The young woman at the self service desk this morning was wearing the mask under her nose..and she pulled it down completely to speak... you should be more vigilant on your staff, it's one year that rules are in place!
Most staff who work here are very nice and helpful but there are a couple of women who are so rude. I say thanks/bye, they act angry and literally say nothing. This has happened a couple of times for no reason whatsoever. I often get the feeling I must have murdered their dog or something. Once, I had a return parcel and said "I have a parcel here" and after clarifying "oh sorry it's a return", the staff member is angry with me and goes "well, you didn't say that did you". Proceeds to give me the angry silent treatment when I say thanks and bye.
Maybe they need to work on their mental health here. I have worked in customer service myself and I know it can be stressful, but not every customer is an enemy!
After waiting 15 minutes in line, while one post office worker served customers and the other member of staff messed around, the second member of staff finally decided to serve me, didn't apologise for the wait and then they didn't have the forms I needed. She suggested I got to the other post office but had no idea how to get there or how far away it was. Total waste of time.
Shockingly rude staff. I'm amazed that they have not been disciplined in an appropriate manner on how to treat their customers based on all of these negative reviews. The ones that have posted good reviews are probably by their friends. That's how little I believe them to be genuine! Sort it out royal mail, these are you advocates.
Online, it says that on Sunday it closes at 2:30pm. I turned up around 1:50pm and It was already closed!!! That's 40 mins before actual closure time. If it were close 15 mins before closure time then I would understand but 40 mins before!! I saw 2 couples waiting outside for 10 minutes before I arrived.
Conclusion: If anyone wants to go there on Sunday, please arrive 2hour before closure time. Or just avoid going on Sundays
I would never come back. Not worth. My days sometimes ruined by their rudeness. 1-2 staff are very nice, though (which I really appreciate), they can't save for the rest. Can't forget once I asked for custom declare forms for international mails - one of staff rolled them out down to FLOOR - which I needed to collect them from the ground when she was standing up. I am leaving Royal Mail to other courier. Putting staff to first line of service - who do not have appropriate attitude towards clients is such a SHAME on Royal Mail.
Very rude at the post office area. The manager is rude and doesn't care about the fact that the customers can hear her insulting the customers to those shes managing. No wonder they all are incredibly rude, unfriendly and dismissive. I now avoid going there completely. There is also a larger lady who works at the post office that literally says nothing to you (she is not disabled - just incredibly unfriendly). No hello, no goodbye , just "can you pass me the parcel" when she had to put a sticker on it. Lazy and shouldn't be working in customer services at all. Its a shame because Sutton isn't a horrible area. Avoid if you can. No need to ruin your sunny disposition if you're anything like me!
