My wife and son-in-law loved the oysters, especially since they were 33% off on Saturday and Sunday. I had the grouper and it was great too. We brought along our daughter and son-in-law, and they loved the place as well. All together 3 dozen oysters were happily eaten. I like the feel of the place and so do many other locals -- casual and comfortable.
Had the grilled Grooper. Absolutely amazing. Very good service by Kyle at the bar. He knew the menu and seemed to know exactly what I liked.

Excellent fish tacos and my wife loves her fish sandwich. Drinks were good, cold beer, great cocktails. The bartender and the waitress were all super friendly.
It was wonderful, nice vibe and lovely staff, the oysters were delicous especially the ones from Texas and definitely makes for a seafood place I would visit again. Donna our waitress was great and made it an enjoyable experience

Amazing restaurant and oyster bar! The freshest seafood we have found in New Smyrna Beach. We started with a dozen raw oysters, crab artichoke dip, and Blackberry Mango Sangria. The oysters were huge and came with a variety of sauces. For the entrees we had the rock shrimp with roasted corn on the cob and citrus rice and a pound of crab legs. The whole presentation was so beautiful we had to take pictures. The rock shrimp had a dusting of seasoning that was to die for. I have never had crab legs steamed to perfection like this. Shells crack at your finger tips and released large whole sections of meat. To top it off we had very attentive and knowledgeable service from Justin. Owning a restaurant ourselves makes us appreciate this quality. We will definitely be back.
Showed up with large party and was told 15 minutes. 45 minutes later, when asked, I was told they have no idea when a table would be available. Wife kids hungry and tired, we waited. Food was mediocre, no complaint. Wished they were honest at first and we could have gone elsewhere. After waiting so long we felt invested and trapped. Vote with my wallet and will not be back and very vocal if asked.
I ordered in for a quick takeout, super easy order, very friendly on the phone. Food was done on time and the bartender for pickup was even more friendly, fast and made sure I got everything I needed. Food was fabulous I'm sure I'll be back to try something else!
We will not go back. We had terrible service; had to ask another waiter for things as our waitress was no where to be found. 3 out of the 4 entrees were under cooked. The fried oysters were bland and the remoulade sauce was awful.

I look to sit on the bar side.. it just seems the help over there is fast, experienced and just "good" at what they do... the other side.. eh... but either way, the owner is always in this place.. keeping it sharp, and things running tight...

Our new favorite place in New Smyrna Beach. Stopped there for dinner on the way to our condo on the beach, the condo we visit a couple times a year. Stopped in for a quick bite, the food was very good. The atmosphere is very enjoyable, server Josee was extraordinary. There was five of us, two adults two kids from Orlando and a 13 year old from Ukraine who didn't speak English. Josee I was incredibly patient, came back numerous times to make sure everything was okay. The restaurant was fairly full, and Josee made us feel like we were her most important customer that night. I think that's just her style. We highly recommend off the hook raw bar and grill, and especially Josee. We had an opportunity to talk to her manager Raychaell, and she was just as friendly and inviting.
We headed here to have a nice meal for our last night in Florida. I had been here about 18 mos ago and enjoyed it. Our visit was perfect as far as service and the delicious food (the rock shrimp are to die for)...the wait staff was very friendly the entire time we were there too. HOWEVER.....when I went to pay my bill, I was using a VISA gift card that I had received from my preschool students to pay my bill. I was informed by the waitress that they do not 'take those' any longer.......I was very bummed about this. That meant I had to fork over an additional $50 I really didn't have to spend on a meal tonite. If these cards are not accepted....PLEASE let people know PRIOR to ordering with a sign posted..or something. I love the food...and was thinking of having my son's dinner party here when we come down from Michigan for his graduation from Palmer Chiropractic School in December.....but even tho this might seem like a small detail...it really isn't. What if I ONLY had that card and nothing else with me?? Then what?? Just looking out for the next customers.........You guys have a good thing going......don't ruin it ! THe waitress was awesome up until that point...then she seemed like ' oh well, TOO bad....' with not much explanation.

I am new to Florida and just happened to come across this place , stepped inside to cool off from the sweltering heat , and from out of nowhere , came the sweetest angelic voice i've heard in a long time, asking if I needed help with a cold drink or what is on their menu , I spun around to politely say no thank you , and Qupit's arrow went strait to my heart , I quickly sat on a comfortable stool before my knees gave out , and that quick she was there welcoming me , at that moment I realized that voice was angelic cause it came from an angel dressed in a bartenders garb , I also knew that this place was heaven on earth ! I'm Hooked , at OffThe Hook Raw Bar & Grill in beautiful New Smyrna ! ..... Oh ! The angel behind the bar is only one of many at this great venue ! Must see to believe !
Waiter, Travis was great. Poke wings succulent and delicious. House salads are fresh and tasty with champagne vingarette. Fried oysters, 1/12 lb. Burger , onion rings, and fish woderful.

Tried this place for the first time. Good oysters and crawlfish. A lot different than the crawfish place at the Vietnamese place but delicious. Their small potatoes are crispy and tasty. I recommend people to try this place out!

I went there with my brother, mother and father. 4 dinners were ordered and 4 lousy dinners were served to us. I ordered the soft shell crab served over a bed of lettuce. Being a seafood eater, however, I had never had soft shell crabs and I thought I would try it since it was on the menu. The soft shell crab was a flat leather like shape of a crab that was not edible and still to this day don't think it was an actual crab but a crab shape cut out of some sort of animal hide. I asked my father if that was what a soft shell crab is supposed to look like and he said no. I removed the crab cut out and basically had just a plate of lettuce for dinner. My other 3 family members also complained about their dinners too.

Food was good. I ordered the cod, shrimp, oysters fried platter. Husband got the ribs with onion rings n salad. The little side salad was good,came with fresh avocado on It. It was all delicious. Brooke was our server she was great and on point. Food took awhile, but it was worth the wait.
Cheap, fresh raw oysters on some days and the food is clean and fresh. Very friendly atmosphere and smiles from the staff all around. Sit at the bar, you won't regret it.

Charged $27 for 5 scallops barely the size of a quarter. Order didn t come out right, after telling kitchen to just take it back server became extremely rude. Manager came over, during social distancing, and knelt down our her elbows on the table and her face 3 from ours. She offered nothing fior the wrong order which we refused to have remade. I ll never come back here again and this wasn t my first visit but will be my last.
