OCF Coffee House Review

Nice place to meet and catch up with family. Looking forward to coming back with my relatives. This place has a good design. I see why this place has so many good reviews.

OCF is a great coffee spot to get a full meal while also getting a lot of work done. They have fast internet and a large menu with a lot of healthy options. Most people go there to do work since they have a lot of easily accessible outlets. They also have seating a long the sidewalk for nice days. It's a busy street, so it is pleasant to sit out and people watch.

My only complaint is that sometimes the servers forget your food orders. There are a couple of people who work there who are quite negligent and slightly rude. Most of the staff is awesome and friendly though!

Mugshots is one of my favorite coffeeshops in the City. I only wish I lived closer to it. They have great food (lots of vegetarian options). They have expanded the seating area, so you can find a seat now. Their coffee is also good, though a bit pricey (standard city prices). They have movies and other events going on there all the time that give it a great community vibe.

I recommend the bagel with lox. Amazing green tea as well. Clean bathrooms.

I had an egg sandwich with a lot of the extras veggies and a latte. The food was a little pricey with the cost of the add ins, but it tasted good.

Two words Food Poisoning. The sandwich that they made for me at lunch. Directly after I ate it I felt it and then I vomited into the toilet and then later into the trash can before walking out. I had not eaten anything but what's inside of this cafe, as I am poor a just got a job there( obviously I lost it ). I had a bagel this morning, the bagel did not make me vomit; However, whatever was in my food at lunch caused me to vomit several times.

Ive been to other ocf coffee joints in the city, but really liked this location in fairmount. The location is big, service was fast and great, and overall quiet

Definitely a fan of the draft latte. Come here frequently to study because the natural lighting definitely keeps me working hard.

Good spot for coffee and a lox sandwhich. The bagel lox sandwhich was loaded with veggies and cream cheese.

A good place to grab a coffee, a unique smooth, lots of different kinds of juice, or snack. They have more substantial food offerings but I haven't had any of those myself. Not a bad place to go to work or study but there are limited outlets so either go with a full charge or early enough to grab a seat near one.

Super big space in here. When you walk further into this cafe, you will find a quiet area for studying! The food is good too.

Great Mocha. Probably the best I've had so far (which is not quantitative because you don't know how many different mochas I've had). Just try it (I get it with Soy because I would poop myself otherwise)

Not a bad place, but it's one of the most expensive coffee shops in the city yet nowhere close to being the best.

Stopped in here to grab something to eat since I had plenty of time before touring the Eastern State Penitentiary. I'm glad I did! The scrambled eggs were very good as well as the potatoes and sausage. The service was good and the portions were large. Definitely will come again next time I'm in the area.

Great study environment and cookies with plenty of tables!

I went with my friend and it was underwhelming. It was expensive and not worth it. I got a tofu scramble and spicy turkey sausage. The coffee was strong just very expensive. It was good but there are better places in the city for cheaper.

While OCF is great for catering to both vegan and non-vegan friends, the wait is generally pretty long for food and drinks. The wait time for a bagel with cream cheese was the same as for eggs and pancakes.

After the visit to the penitentiary, we went here to grab a quick lunch. The food was great and the service friendly. The crowd there seemed to be a lot of people with laptops which I found a bit odd.

Grateful that this place is open recently, really good coffee. I like to come here because everything is closed and this place is within walking distance of Fairmount park riverfront area, nice place to relax with a drink and socially distance at the same time

Good food and coffee. Food orders take way too long. A bit overpriced as well.

Build-your-own sandwich cafe. A modern, open space, with young crowd. Helpful staff and good service. The cafe has large windows open to the old penitentiary (turned attraction) on the other side of the street.

What a terrific, friendly coffee shop! Our school group of 45 students was visiting Eastern State Penitentiary and arrived about thirty minutes too early for our scheduled tour. OCF generously welcomed our group and produced delicious hot chocolates for all the students. While some places would have been overwhelmed by our unexpected arrival, the staff at OCF were friendly, patient, and thoughtful toward all of us. Thank you for your kindness, and we look forward to visiting your coffee shop again....although we will call ahead next time!

This is a realty office disguised as a coffee shop. The speculation is disgusting and I CANNOT support such bull.

Gentrification and coffee at the same place! Grand!

The Americanos are good, the La Colombe draft selection is even better. Every sweet from the large selection that is displayed that I've tried has been fantastic. Infinite seating and good WiFi. Haven't tried the food yet.

Slaps. A little pricey tho. $5 for a small iced coffee

Neat place for coffee and working at home. The wifi is quick - like I hosted a webex session through a VPN without issue quick. I've worked there twice at 8 hours each time and they don't even bat an eye at me sitting there all day. Good coffee and $1 refills as long as your there. The food is okay. Not going to win awards, but totally edible.

Friendly, fast service for a coffee break. Tried Iced Chai with Oat Milk ---delish. Few tables open. Food looked appealing...No prices listed on Menu Board... Twas a bit pricey for two simple drinks.

The iced coffee is really good and everything on the menu is fresh and delicious. It's a perfect breakfast/brunch stop!

The coffee here is always always always excellent. If you have questions the staff is more than happy to answer. The menu has plenty of options. Service is with a smile too. Great place breakfast/lunch and a quick dinner.

Five stars good coffee very polite staff very clean and professional keep up the good work . The area is nice and I felt safe.

I was disappointed. I ordered food which was good but I waited a long time (half hour), then had to pick it up myself because despite six people behind the counter, no one delivered my food. The tables all around me were dirty with crumbs and a table next to me wash left un-bused for half an hour. To boot, I was shown a payment screen asking for for tips up to and over 20 percentage. When I stand in line for food, get my own drink, clean my own table and bus my own dishes and then get my own food, what exactly am I tipping for? OC. shame on you. Pay more and get your service right.

Cappuccino very good. Coffee not so much. Muffin and brownies are also very good.

This place just can't seem to get their WiFi situation under control. There's a pretty good chance you'll be left trying to do work with no way to grab your files or search the Internet. Odd for a place that positions itself as a place for people to comfortably study.

Otherwise, food is okay -- your standard quirky organic deli fair that, frankly, never turns out being as good as you would hope. Coffee is okay. Espresso is terrible. No idea how to pull a proper shot here.

Such a wonderful coffee shop that sells the best coffee in Philadelphia (that I ve found). Also, they have oat milk which is a game-changer for any nondairy drinkers out there!

Stopped in here before spending some time at Eastern State Penitentiary. We wanted a brunch of sorts and after reading the menu, we decided this was the place for us. Plus, it is across the street from ESP so it was convenient.

OCF has great vegan and vegetarian options, farm to table food, and brunch all day! Hubs and I both got an iced green tea and an egg and goat cheese bagel sandwich. They cooked it to order so we waited a few minutes. We sat down with out number for the order, and they brought it out to us. It was uber-flavorful, and filling. The place looks like mainly students frequent it as most looked college aged and had their headphones and laptops with them. It was pretty quiet for the amount of people that frequent it but we could have a general conversation without feeling like we were annoying anyone. They also have outdoor seating where some people bring their dogs and dine/drink.

Note: they have a BOYB policy so they sell orange juice and Bloody Mary mix but you have to have the liquor to actually make them alcoholic drinks.

Went here before visiting the prison. Came here a second time after. Good coffee, good desserts. Good lunch. I had the spinach salad. Yummy.

The lox bagel sammy is amazing and the service is great!

I got a horrible, vicious case of food poisoning from a sandwich I ate here. The coffee is good and the baristas are nice, but for the love of God avoid the food

Coffee is decent, and food options are more extensive than the average coffee shop.

Relaxed coffee house atmosphere with earthy decorations. Pleasant staff as well. Best part excellent roasted coffee beans with mellow flavor and not much. Coffee flavor is not muted. If I were to spend money for coffee I'd go here.

Didn't try the food unfortunately so cannot comment on that. Prices could be better but it is artisan coffee anyway.

Nice atmosphere and free wifi. Coffee and smoothies are good but the tea was horrible.

I want to like this place, but the food is only so-so and every single 4 person table was taken completely over by a single douchebag. Seriously? Was there something wrong with the 2 person tables that you had to take an entire 4 person table? Minus one star for obnoxious clientele.

Really good atmosphere! Love the open space. Staff seems nice and the food was great (try the turkey melt, you can't go wrong) the only awkward part is when you first walk in the menu is placed in the front of the store as if someone is going to seat you but it self seating. I loved it!

Staff is friendly and helpful. It is located in a great tourism neighborhood right cross the street from Eastern State Penitentiary.

Really liked this place. We just stumbled into it the FIRST time and then came back the NEXT day for more.

1. Coffee was good and milk VERY creamy. They pride themselves, so they told me, on the farm who supplies the milk.

2. Menus for breakfast brunch and lunch are varied with good choices for all including your basics or something just a tad different / particular - Vegan and veggie only choices but not lost on flavor

3. I settled on the special of the day, which was abundant. Was happy to see they had it again the next day

4. Spacious sunny and cute. Not overdone but sticks to what it was. A coffee / food house.

Yummy sandwiches, with many gluten free options. I have not had the coffee, but the tea was good. Nice staff with attentive service.

I've been going here for about a year. But I have to say good-bye. The coffee here is good. Also the food is pretty good. Definitely overpriced though. $10 for coffee and an egg & cheese sandwich? Environment is rather sterile and uncomfortable. My main issue is with the staff. A few of them are nice and friendly. Most act like you're bothering them or they're too cool. Service is on the slower side. I always say "thank you" and they either don't respond or one guy just replied "Yeah". I'm done with this place.

Came here to get some work done and the internet connection is by far one of the slowest I've ever encountered, it pretty much stayed around 31 KBPS. And when we visited we both got a pastry and the chocolate cupcake with vanilla buttercream that my partner got was by far the driest cupcake they have ever eaten, they pretty much could only eat the top part with the frosting, while my lavender latte had zero lavender flavor to it.

Excellent coffee shop! Great coffee, and vegan banana bread! Staff was very helpful. I highly recommend stopping in and checking it out!

This is a killer spot to grab some food, coffee, and get work done.

Uncomfortable tables and chairs without much ambiance. Short man who took my order was very rude - when I asked what a specific pastry was because the sign had fallen over and I didn't notice he said 'what does the sign say'. Coffee was also bad. Only plus is it's conveniently located across the eastern state penitentiary.

This place is great! Awesome food, great coffee/drinks, and great service. It s also very reasonably priced, which is rare for the area. We come here 2-3 times a week for coffee/drinks and sometimes food. The bagels are good and I highly recommend the lox bagel special. They always have a tasty special that is a little different. The breakfast sandwiches are also big, tasty and cheap. The staff is very friendly and always give us good recommendations to switch things up. Although I don t do work in there, it s definitely a great spot to grab a coffee and use the WiFi for work/study. Never too loud. Always plenty of tables to sit and the place is well-kept and clean. Great spot!!

Normally a decent spot and friendly staff but on my last visit I picked up some banana bread with mold on it. Makes you wonder how long that stuff has been sitting there. Won t be returning, walk a few block to vineyards for a better experience.
