Oceanwood Camp & Conference Center Review

I've attended 2 retreats at Oceanwood and I can't tell you how amazing they are! The rooms are clean and tidy, the staff is absolutely incredible, and the food is fresh, delicious, and exceeded our expectations. What an amazing time I've had relaxing at Oceanwood!

Beautiful property. Sleeping accommodations are camp comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food excellent. Wonderful equine program with instructors who are as good with the people as the horses. This is a great casual conference/retreat center.

Been to 2 retreats here.. the rooms are older summer camp bunk rooms, but honestly this place is beautiful! So tranquil and walking distance from the beach! The food is fantastic and the campus set up works very well for a retreat setting! Worth checking out if you are looking to book an event. I would recommend bringing a fan if you are going in summer and an extra blanket if it early season or fall as the bunk rooms are not air conditioned and heat is minimal.

A fantastic camp and environment for all ages. A beautiful horse field and plenty of outdoor activities.

Food was good as usual and staff couldn't be better, but this place needs to buy a couple of truckloads of gravel and fill in those places that were waterlogged and muddy. I couldn't wear rain boots because of a fracture boot I was wearing and it was a challenge to get into Judson without getting my feet wet or muddy. (Didn't make it.) I'd trap the skunk, too, who made sleep miserable and the day unpleasant for those of us with sharp noses.

Oceanwood is hands down an excellent camp. This place is in a wonderful setting near the beach and Marsh in Ocean Park, Maine. The kids love going there and always want to go back. Counselors are wonderful and they always have fun games and songs. Meals are wholesome and nutritional. My Kids love the food. It's nice to have this camp available for the kids to experience nice tech free summer playing games and enjoying outdoor activities. All this with a religious theme too. Nursing staff is top notch. Can't say enough. Your children will love it and be in great hands.

The Norman Rockwell setting is a thin veneer for nasty folks. After wandering into the camp in late November, when nobody was around, I had an ugly encounter with their troll who crawled out of the maintenance shed to chase me off the property. Whatever they teach in their chapels is evidently only practiced on Sundays.

Great environment, from woods to the marsh and the beach. Awesome staff, great food and accomodations. Great place for a retreat. We've been going for 4 years.

Great retreat with lot's amenities. Pool in the summer. Huge conference center with a full Kitchen.

Absolutely love it there. I went for Refresh with kennebec community church. It was so beautiful relaxing and the food they serve there is amazing.

I have such great memories of going here every summer as a child! That was 30 years ago, but I can't believe much has changed.

An awesome Christian Camp with easy access to the ocean and horseback riding on site.
