Ocean Pride Seafood and Restaurant Review

Slow service, salty cream of crab soup, "fishy" taste to all our dishes. Very different from a year ago...too bad.

Love the crabs. Would give it 5 stars but Tyler Mays drinks here.

Great down to earth atmosphere. Fabulous shrimp and crab cakes! Yum!

Very friendly service and the food was very good. Just had a quick lunch here. I would definitely return on my next trip to Baltimore.

Crabcakes are very good. There is seating inside and out. The parking lot is the worst ever. Real small. Hard to get in and out. They do offer complimentary valet parking. Service is excellent. They have very good salads. You can get a smaller version of the garden salad.

Great place to watch a game. I got the wings with buffalo and Old Bay, they were amazing!

The crab cakes tasted like turmeric and salt and nothing else. They ended up making me so sick I threw up. The crab in my wife's food made her sick as well. Our friend's scallops were UNDERCOOKED and her asparagus was dry and shriveled like it had been microwaved. Calamari breading still tasted doughy like it hadn't been cooked all the way through.

I placed my order online and I waited for 30 minutes to go pick it up, only to find out that they're website was down so they didn't have my order. They took my order again and it was pretty quick, I got the food within 10 minutes. I order old bay chips and they totally forgot about the old bay, even though I paid extra for that. The salmon sandwich was okay nothing espectacular. I also got the fried shrimp platter and I honestly feel ripped off. I paid 17 dollars for 10 small shrimps with a few soggy fries and slaw. We only ate the food because we were hungry but we'll never go back to that place again.

Nothing fancy, cold beer, great seafood. What more do you need. The have specials most nights.

Good food except for the smoke-flavored clams casino. Not to my liking.

Service was nice it may just be me but it looks like there doing some remodel in this place should have shut it down until there finish don't want to see all that while I'm eating besides the food was just ok nothing really stood out to me average

I grew up right down the street from OP. Tonight I returned 10 years later... Kevin was an unbelievable waiter, and we highly recommend him. With a group of 13 - he never missed a beat and was the epitome of top notch service. We will certainly be back. Crabs were phenomenal.

Not a fan of seafood, but this place was pretty good. I would definitely recommend

Henry was our waiter he was amazing he took care of us and we will come back if nothing else just for him alone The crabs are great The music was great it's a nice place to go to.

Fish and chips sandwich was overcooked. Could not eat it. Waitress was very accommodating and brought a substitute snack quickly so that I could make an appointment.

Ordered a dozen jumbo crabs for my son s birthday dinner tonight- wow! This is the first time I ve had crabs from here and they were great! Enjoy the pictures- better yet, pick up the phone and order some for yourself!

I hadn't been to Ocean Pride in years and this was a great return visit. It reminded me of how good their food is. I ordered honey bbq wings and potato skins & I loved them both. My waitress was quick and polite. I also ordered crabs, they were light that day but still good. I will surely be back.

Great seafood. The best crab meat pretzel. It is amazing.

Good food. Four stars because the place needs a little work. The atmosphere kinda reminds me of The Still. Staff is friendly.

I ordered a shrimp scampi and it was awful. Then we went out and the general manager yelled at us for parking crooked and another man started to threaten us if we didn't fix our parking job. I do not recommend this place.

Crabs were good but over priced. $62 for 6 Xtra large males was a bit much.

Poor service missed the Preakness because waitress couldn't be bothered to turn up tv volume.

2 bloody Mary's = $15 and not that good.

Overpriced. Add a steamed shrimp or bacon and garnish it with celery. It was so blah for $15 service was ok

The food here is the best. From they're seafood selection to the wings, nachos, and sandwiches. Their salads are the best I've had! Very reasonable prices for such great food

My husband and I took our daughter for a nice meal and discuss college open houses. The server took our order - without writing it down - and instead of a crab fluff, brought a crab cake. When I told her I ordered a crab fluff, she took it without a response and 10 minutes later, the same plate was brought to me with the same crab cake being put in the deep fryer. Shrimp salad was not good. Service and food were substandard and when my husband wanted to talk to the manager, he waved him off very rudely. For the first time in 20 years of dining out, I put "see your manager for your tip" and felt absolutely no guilt. Will not return to Ocean Pride

They stopped serving crabs at 8pm for some reason... but they are opened to midnight.. i walked out without trying anything, i do not care for restaurants that dictate what you the paying customer can have or not have.

Did not have a good experience with the food here. Ordered the calamari, crab cake and the seafood trio. The crab cake did not taste fresh and had only tumeric and salt. Too much tumeric. Didn't finish that because it started to make me feel sick.
The calamari was also not good. It was undercooked and again, tasted funky.
Our credit cards were taken at the beginning of the meal to run a tab, not sure why. Then later was told we would need to pay the bill some way as the info wasn't saved. Had to remind the waitress that half the table still didn't have their checks.
The food was not good, sickening for the price. The waitress did fine until later. I feel she was probably tired after all the issues with the food. I would have preferred Long John Silvers seafood to this.

Ordered 2 dozen xl crabs for carry out 5 days in advance for a party. Got a call 3 hours prior saying they couldn't fill the order or any carry out order. I was then cussed out and hung up on when I asked to speak to a manager. Big let down. I will never take my business there again.

Cream of crab soup was outstanding. Nice amount of crab and sauce not too thick. Crab pretzel was a little much for 3 of us but we finished in nonetheless. Crab cake sandwiches were good and if you upcharge to get the fries you get a healthy amount with what looked like sea salt. Crispy and good but we were stuffed before finishing.

I had the crab emperial, the portion of food was nice size. An the taste was good. Decent price on the menu as well!

The food is okay but the establishment is run down and pretty dirty. The bathrooms are really disgusting. I would recommend take out but you probably wouldn't want to bring your parents here.

They charged me $110 for a dozen "jumbo"' crabs which were closer to "medium." I brought this to the attention of the manager who said they were sorted by weight. When I asked what the weight cut off was, she became confused.

This is a fun, casual, neighborhood place with good seafood at reasonable prices.

My venerable go to seafood restaurant and bar. I came up to my hometown from my adopted hometown of Jupiter FL, and OP still serves up the BEST crab oyster and shrimp entrees sandwiches and appetizers!

Half price steamed shrimp on Tuesdays can't be beat. Our server, Henry, was excellant!

Crabs are way over priced and full of water. Beer was cold but I can get that from any place with a liquor license. Terrible crabs I cannot the sign out front said Big Crabs. We got 5 dozen Extra Large for 88 a dozen that were horrible. Enough Said!

The food is good but the ambience stinks. It is noisy and dated and could use an entire overhaul. It does have a lively bar scene however.

Yuck the calamari the breading on it was really lite, but then when you ate it you got stuffed like it expanded way to much, I had the potato skins those were good but everything else was like so so I don't know go ahead and go in and enter and eat at your own risk..

As soon as we walked in the smell of mold hit us in the face. Floors are sticky, no one else in there and we get sat next to a pillar, asked to sit at another table, got moved to sit next to a fire place and you can see the mold on it. Don t know how the food was we couldn t handle the smell.

Love Ocean Pride...food is great, staff is very pleasant. Have been here multiple times and will keep coming back!

Great seafood Gem hidden on York Road. Ocean Pride can accommodate a quick grab and go for lunch or a full seat down family crab gathering. The service is always friendly and knowledgeable, place clean and food consistently good. I normally get the soups or my favorite the crab cake club sandwich or shrimp salad sandwich .
The have a good seafood menu, with something for everyone even the non seafood folks. Ocean Pride has Bar with tables, carry out and restaurant. Parking lot kind of small but always seems to accommodate its guests.

Raw bar is awesome here. They also do carryout packaged goods

Another great meal at OP. Seafood Mac & Cheese was outstanding. But I have to admit OP appears to have changed their crab seasoning. Used to be a combination of salt, pepper and crab seasoning. Seems like the pepper is no longer used. Still good, but I do miss the pepper. Service is always excellent

A local staple. Can t go wrong with anything at this place. Good pub feel and proper baltimore seafood preparations.

Was visiting from California a former Maryland native so I decided to get crabs. The crabs were just so so medium $60 crabs were very light.

Good spot. Very good seafood and service. Parking is difficult when it is crowded. A Baltimore landmark that's been here forever.

$98 for jumbos is fine but our crabs were closer to large or med. They were also very watery like they were boiled. I was not impressed, I've had much better crabs.

I'm from New England where we can't get steamed crabs like this. We ordered a dozen and they served us 14. Steamed with tons of Old Bay seasoning. Great service and delicious food.
