Oakwood management company Review

BAD..TOO BAD No one don't come and stay this property. Racial discrimination and VERY POOR customer/Tenant service.

Let's start with the move in which went fine and now with everything else, AEP had a transformer that blew once a week and seems as though they allowed Section 8 renters in their properties because everyone had 3 to 4 cars with junk cars parked on the street. The kids were unbearable at times and Reynoldsburg Police never patrolled the area, call them and they will show up and since everyone was under 40 yrs old who lived over there nobody slowed down driving through the area. The carpet was installed when we moved in so they say but carpet installers never stretched the carpet when they installed it so it buckled and that is what happens when you don't have a skilled maintenance staff that knows how to install carpet or management staff that knows how to inspect carpet after it has been installed. Overall look elsewhere for a place to live because your rent will continued rise so for the money anyone can do better than Oakwood management company.

This website was ok. On my phone it was hard to navigate however, it kept having issues loading however that may have just been my phone itself. I was looking for houses in decent areas at decent prices. However with how the market is right now I dont see that happening. Everyone getting their stimulus checks and just the market in general both are things that hinder people. But like I said probably a life issue and not an issue with the website itself. But overall it was an ok time using the site.

Google Reviews needs a negative 5 stars option. If you are considering living at Gables West, DON'T. I would rather flush $1200 dollars down the toilet each month than live at a complex like this one. The problems you read about in all of the other reviews are completely true, there is no chance that you will not encounter at least one of these issues if not all of them. The people with positive reviews most likely moved in yesterday. The best part about Gables West is that when you do run in to one of these issues (theft/inconsiderate neighbors/maintenance issues etc.) the staff here will do nothing about it. Emails are left unanswered and the problems only continue to get worse. The "okay" location of Gables West is 1. not worth how much you will overpay to live here & 2. not at all worth the MOUNTAIN of serious issues you will find living here. Please take into consideration the reviews similar to this one and choose anywhere else to live in the Hilliard area. You will not regret that decision as I regret mine to live here!

UPDATE:

I was asked by GW management to change the review after they actually acknowledged my review, so I will update this existing one. All concerns were brought to the property manager with evidence of theft, noise complaints, and other serious issues. The property manager assured me that problems would be addressed and asked for a week to speak with her superiors. THREE weeks later she calls and tells me that there is absolutely nothing she can do, and that all she can do is give me the corporate phone number. Well, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, corporate does not care about their residents either! I have left multiple voicemails and have not had a single call returned. Once again, do not waste your time or money living at any gables west complex. There are many better options in this area (ANY other option is better). HOWEVER, if you enjoy not sleeping due to constant noise, worrying about theft, and a serious lack of any sort of beneficial communication from your management, this is the place for you!!

stayed here for 2 years, did not have any problem. Helen is awsome , seen her very few times but she response well and really care for the tenants.

Since I wasn t warned I ll warn everyone:
-Several break ins - there s a reason why you have a preinstalled security system in your home.
Be prepared to add the security system into your budget - you ll need it!!
Took them 3 weeks to fix our window that got broken during a break in.
-They advertise and will tell you it s a smoke free community - it s NOT.
When your children have health issues because of it and have 2 doctors notes they refuse to do anything.
They won t switch your unit out of respect.
They will ask you to pay $4,000+ to either switch units or break lease.
-The new manager Ashley has an attitude problem and is no help.
-You will also have to call *67 to get them to answer. They won t respond to emails and won t answer calls once they see your name pop up on caller ID.
-The only good thing about this community is the part time guy named Ray!

They are no longer the owners of my complex, but they were still very nice and extremely helpful to me. Even went out of the way to find the phone number of the new manager and called me back to let me know.

I moved into the Ravines at Westar last August. I m moving again in 3 weeks due to the loudest upstairs neighbors ever and absolutely no help from management. Oh sure, I would be permitted to move (because my incurring moving costs is fair) as long as I stay at the Ravines for another whole year. And if I take a second or third floor unit I still pay the higher first floor unit I pay now. You know, for the privilege of being allowed to move. Oh, and did I mention the $300 termination fee? Discrimination at its finest!!!
