Oaklawn Health Care Center Review

My brother was there just 3 days then had to be readmitted to a local hospital. They are "short-staffed" on the weekends so he was left in soiled diapers (he can communicate but needs assistance walking, he can tell you if he needs to use the restroom) which led to a UTI and a fever Oaklawn staff didn't even know he had as they weren't checking on him! He was left sitting in a chair in the dark on more than one occasion. Staff will rudely discuss your situation in common public areas where others can hear. Hello HIPPA violations! DO NOT leave your loved one in the care of this facility.

Great staff! Very convenient location being close to the hospital and clinic.

Oaklawn is one of the worst places to work. There management doesn't care about any of there workers and only treats them nicely when they are trying to take advantage of them. I would never suggest working for them

Oaklawn is a Beautiful Facility and has such a homey atmosphere. The staff are really caring and friendly.

Avoid Oaklawn! This is the worst facility I have ever been in. Terrible care of the residents and understaffed. They left my dad lay on the floor for 20 minutes before coming to help him. If you have a complaint don't go the Director of Nursing either. She doesn't care.

Oaklawn provides top notch long term and short term care! Location couldn't be better next to the hospital. The staff are exceptional at providing compassionate nursing care.

This is the most beautiful facility that we have encountered. My father went here for rehab and the nursing staff was the best we have encountered. They truly care for each of their residents and have a great atmosphere going. Loved it and will go back if needed!!!

I had the joy of visiting Oaklawn and it truly is one the best facilities I have been to. The staff is excellent - you can tell that they care about their Residents and go above and beyond to meet their needs and make them feel at home. The kitchen staff works to accommodate to people's likes/dislikes and any special food requests. The facility is fresh and clean. I highly recommend!

The staff were so wonderful in caring for my sister. The care and consideration they showed made her stay a very pleasant experience.

My first impressions of my grandmothers new humble abode suffocated me with joy. The friendly staff, and environment made me feel like we choose the right home and I couldn t be more satisfied. They turned a scary worry filled situation into gold. So appreciative. THANK YOU!

Had the opportunity to visit this gorgeous facility. The staff were shining just as much as the finishes. Possibly one of the nicest and most beautiful facilities I have ever visited!

Beautiful and well maintained facility! Wonderful staff who are very helpful, kind and willing to go the extra mile.

I refuse to even refer to the nurses at Oaklawn as actual nurses. They are understaffed and more invested in their own personal lives than the lives and well-being of their residents. Horrible response rate! They will rarely respond to nurse calls within the first 5 minutes. They leave all of the patients (in the rehabilitation wing) in darkness after 7 p.m. That is no way to make an individual who is still very much awake and active feel at home. I would never have guessed that their vision is quality care and homely living after witnessing this.

Staff are amazing and food & activities are wonderful!

This facility is gorgeous! The short term rehab unit is very spacious and has a lot of natural lighting. Staff are very attentive to the resident's needs and it's obvious that they truly care.

Oaklawn is a great place for people to go to for rehab after their hospital stay. The therapy wing is beautiful. The staff are always cheerful and very caring. Oaklawn does a great job communicating with home care agencies when clients are discharging. They are always striving to make sure the client is safe and well cared for both at Oaklawn and when they go home.
