My daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia and Orton Gillingham was recommended to me as a resource. I love the one on one attention she receives and am thrilled with the progress she is making! It s astonishing actually. I highly recommend this program to any child who is struggling to read.
Our child has benefited immensely from OGRS. The teachers are the perfect blend of extremely competent and generously caring. I would strongly recommend the program to parents who are looking for a big proactive step in helping their struggling reader learn to read.
We noticed our 7 year old daughter was having a difficult time reading, writing and spelling toward the middle of 1st grade so we started her with tutors from OG Reading Specialists while we were waiting to see if she has dyslexia - which we now know she does, and also ADD). She has been going off and on through the school year and this summer and has gained two grades in reading in about four months of tutoring - we are blown away at how talented these tutors are. We have absolutely loved Ms. Duback, Ms. Ditty, and Ms. Rademacher. Karen has put together an outstanding center with excellent tutors and she is always available herself to share her extensive knowledge. Everyone who works here including Brenda and Paco who manage the office are incredible. This has been a life changing experience for our daughter and we are so grateful!
I missed the initial appointment. When I called to reschedule and asked for a second chance they said they won t except us back.
Very thankful we found OGRS, they have been a lifesaver for us - no more struggling with how and what to do to improve reading skills; seen huge improvements in the four months we ve been here. Staff are friendly, understanding and very helpful, quick to respond to questions. The curriculum is well organized and easy to understand for the lay person, parents are provided with guidance on how to engage and help coach your child, which I really appreciate. Highly recommend OGRS for parents with struggling readers, dyslexia and learning disabilities.

We love Orton Gillingham Edina! Our younger son struggled to learn phonics. I had trouble teaching him because it brought him tears and frustration. Thankfully someone recommended Orton Gillingham. It is amazing what my son accomplished in less than a year. He enjoys reading! Chapter books! He has gone from questioning whether he is smart to feeling really good about himself and his reading abilities. He also organizes his thoughts better, has improved diction, and likes to write stories! I can't say enough good things about Orton Gillingham Edina and highly recommend it to any child struggling to read.
