I stayed at the Marriott this past weekend and it was a beautiful place for the reception that I attended.
As an elite member, I called the day before to ask if I could check in before 4pm the next afternoon. The lady on the other line got an attitude with me and told me to call back tomorrow because she didn't have a clue and the proceeded to hang up on me. When I called the next more the woman on the other end of the phone was extremely polite and professional. I ended up checking in at 2pm.
In our room there was black hair on the pillows and the comforter. My boyfriend even noticed what looked like blood stains on the bedskirt.
Other than these three obstacles, the hotel is beautifully located and I was very happy with how pleasant the staff was when I arrived. I would stay again, but would definitely request a different room.

Understaffed and hotel common areas worn out. No help at the front desk to get bags up to my room, no menu in room for room service, take out only, didn't let me know when order was ready, cold and soggy when I picked it up for take out. Disappointed and not going back.
4 Star hotel rating is grossly undeserved.

Everything was great! Had a great time at a wedding but there was one person of the catering/wait staff that was very rude to everyone. I highly recommend anyone to have an event here or even just to stay overnight as a quick get away

The hotel staff was great especially Stephanie. She worked at the front desk. They accommodated us very well. The downsize was for the hotel cleaning staff. Our vent in the bathroom had lots of dust on it as if it hadn't been cleaned in awhile. And there was a piece of donut under the furniture. It wasn't from my husband and I. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable stay.

One of Chicago lands best kept secret. I set up all of my Corporate visitors at this hotel. Close to top dining and a golf course that is well groomed and challenging. The staff is attentive. The rooms are clean and well kept.

Nice setup for corporate all-employee meetings. The lights in the back left were furiously flickering, but that actually didn't cause much of a problem since we were all looking forward the majority of the time

What a great place for a staycation, a wedding, a banquet, or a business trip. Very nice golf course, great pool areas, ping pong, a pro shop, nice rooms, great views, bike trails, two restaurants, a game room, virtual golf, and more. I will stay there again.

I left a comment card for the person that checked me in he was so absolutely helpful. I am sad I don't remember his name he was a very slender African American male that made a really frustrating and stressful experience so much better. He was so understanding and helpful I am so great ful to him and will definitely be back! I brought my son here for his 10th birthday and we had a blast! The room had gorgeous views and it's really a beautiful resort.. the food was reasonably priced and if u skip the room service and just go down to the bar u save alot of money. The buffalo wings were awesome. The outdoor pool area was really nice and they have a really wonderful cozy locker room for women with complimentary head phones in the workout room. The big guy that seems to be a manager that is in charge of the snacks was not very pleasant and quite rude but other then that was a very enjoyable experience. The lounge area was very nice and upscale feel with different areas to watch TV with comfortable couches.

Love, love love this hotel. Absolutely wonderful and highly recommend! Updated completely renovated rooms...I have had the pleasure of staying here multiple times and I have to say I LOVE THIS PROPERTY. This is by far one of the best Hiltons I've stayed at.
It has not always been one which is why older reviews will say the rooms were outdated. They just finished an extensive substantial renovation to the lobby, pool and all the guest rooms. I have attended one wedding at this property and it was utterly breathtaking, attended two conferences which were well organized and with great meeting rooms, but I live local and what I like most is this is one of the BEST staycations around. Why? The location is gorgeous and unlike any other property around. It is surrounded by a golf course, it has a very nice relaxing outdoor pool which I adore, a huge indoor pool, and many other amenities. I hesitate to write this because I feel like this hotel is one of the best kept secrets around.
The hotel was hopping last night with at least four brides walking around taking pictures. The lobby has plenty of space to sit and relax, people watch, work on a laptop, or get drinks from the beautiful bar. Nowadays its difficult to find bartenders that know how to make a good cocktail but everyone at the bar was talking about how good the drinks were made and overall how happy we were with the service from everyone at this hotel.
As for dinner I decided to checkout options from Grubhub and was super surprised delivery to my hotel room was possible from all the best restaurants in the area.
For breakfast eaters they have a yummy buffet with a lot of items to choose from including made to order omelets cooked perfectly and a Starbucks.

The room I stayed in had a mini fridge, coffee maker and all things you would expect from a nice hotel. Big thanks to the very lovely staff which during this past trip included Joshua, Elizabeth, and Alex. Highly recommending this one

Very clean and spacious rooms. Pool was warm enough for elderly. Food varied from poolside casual to fine dining. Reasonably priced drinks-alhough no mojitos. Laid back, kid friendly atmosphere with enough services to make you feel pampered.

Horrible stay for July 4th. After check in found out they changed pool use policies that day(called hotel twice before booking to verify covid pool policy) which precluded us form using the pool the first night. Lied to by three employees at front desk about removing resort fee from my bill-Grace, the "brand Compliance Manager" according to her name tag her name escapes me, and Rebecca. In order to guarantee access to the pool second day there, though one of the mangers told me they were not sure if the pool would open on July 5th, I went to the pool area where sign up would begin at 9 a.m., at 4:30 a.m. to be first in the line that would form to try and get a time slot for the pool that day. I have nothing nice to say about my stay here July 4th. And my phone call to the hotel manager Monday the 6th was not returned. Only reason they get one star is I can't give zero.

Nice rooms. Toilet paper holder is located in a poor location, temp. in hallways was warm, and the elevators neew a good upgrade. Nice size rooms, temperature in room was nice, bed is comfortable, big windows in room. Would have appreciated priority at the pools since we actually roomed at the hotel. Hotel sells to the public access to the pools which limits chairs in the pool area. Breakfast buffet for two is almost $50.

The service here has really taken a turn for the worse. When I first stayed here a couple of years ago, the staff was friendly and attentive.

On this last stay (as a hilton honors member), the staff was aloof and disengaged. I didn't get get my complimentary water upon checking in, and at no point during my entire stay did the staff ever ask if I needed any assistance with anything.

The hotel itself was beautiful, the grounds were well kept and the staff was very courteous. We were there for a wedding celebration and expected nothing but the best. I arrived early on Wednesday for a Fri/Sat event. To my shock and surprise, I was charged a $75 PER DAY hold on my credit card. While I normally expect a hold of $50 - $150 charge to be placed on my card, I was totally NOT expecting to have a $300 hold placed for a 4 day stay! Thank goodness it posed no inconvenience for me, but there were many others who were travelling on limited funds and it caused a hardship for them! Especially since we were not told of the daily hold in advance and it is NOWHERE ON THEIR email confirmation! I was also charged an additional "amenities fee" of $9.95 plus tax... cost me an additional 11.05 a day! If fees were DISCLOSED on the email confirmations, people would have time to plan. But to be nickle and dimed at every turn, without warning is bad business. Next time I'm in the area, I'll be sure to stay at another hotel within the vicinity and not pay outrageous and unexpected fees.

Room 1109: BUGS EVERYWHERE! Worst Hotel experience...

Room 1109: BUGS EVERYWHERE! Worst Hotel experience of my life. I mean dead flies, live flies, mysteriously appearing flies, multiple living lady bugs, dead fly attached to the bottom of my room service glass on arrival. Dead flies on the bath tub floor, dead and living flies on the bathroom floor, live flies on the windows, and mysteriously appear dead flies on the night stand overnight. Counted at least 20 dead flies on hard surfaces, 6 live ones, and 2 lady bugs during my 2 night stay. Probably plenty more unseen on carpeting. TV remote had something sticky and orange on the arrow pad and select button. Coffee maker and everything in that tray and the entire TV Stand were glazed with dust, including the coffee cup covers which are supposed to go in your mouth. Fantastic views and very friendly staff, so much potential at this property destroyed by lack of cleanliness and MAJOR bug infestation. Think Ritz-Carlton staff & service meets Motel 8. Not what you expect from a Hilton property.

Updated review from 1-star to 3-star since the Owner and Manager both promptly responded after reading this in an attempt to make things right, even though I forgot to respond to them. Let's see if this place really does turn things around after construction is complete.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Oak Brook Hills Resort on a staycation. It was probably one of my best mini get aways. The staff is beyond amazing to say the least. I went with a friend and we took our children with. Mainly, we spent of our days at the pool. We had the pleasure to meet, hands down, one of your best employees. Matt K was so attentive to our needs. Always greeted us with a smile, helping hand, opened the doors for us and genuinely went out of his way to make small talk and make sure we had everything that we needed. The thing that stood out most to me was when one of my little boys was running and scrapped his knee - he noticed it before the mothers did and came quickly to my son with care and concern and band aid in hand. He saved the day from being ruined.

Great job Matt - I m glad you were there!

The place was picked after doing a lot of research...

The place was picked after doing a lot of researching for my son's wedding reception. We signed the agreement on April 17, 2017. The wedding was to take place on January 4th, 2018 but do to uncontrollable circumstances the wedding was called off. I emailed the coordinator in charge of handling the venue for us,Brad Rice, and asked to meet in person. We met and he told me he'll see what he can do.He mentioned a possibility of using the money we already paid as a deposit in the amount of $9600 for another function or refund the whole or half of the money was a possibility. He later came back and said they only can stop the rest of the withdrawals, but the money that was already taken cannot be refunded. I spoke to my attorney and she got in contact with them. They told her they would honor the money toward another function to take place by the end of May 2018. We had no use for that as there would not be another event we can have and the money spent was hard earned money. If they gave us a longer period of time I would understand but 5 months in nowhere near enough time to get anything done .Not only has this cost us a large amount of money, but more importantly made it more difficult to deal with the sudden cancellation of my son's wedding. I urge anyone doing business with this hotel to read between the lines you might think your covered but the wording is tricky . The contract you are forced to sign locks you into a situation where you have no control over any unforeseeable circumstances. Very disappointed that I wasted time, money, and effort dealing with this hotel. I suggest you save yourselves the headache and learn from my mistake and GO SOME PLACE ELSE.

I arrived late and couldn't check in without my friend who was on the reservation and who was also an hour behind (eta midnight)... tired and hungry from traveling, I went to buy a few snacks from the store. The front desk manager waived it and then offered me a water bottle too - so nice!! 5 star service! Nice people like this need to be on the news more. Thank you!
