I saw Dr Hoffman and Joel. Both were incredible. Went above and beyond for me and my needs with having knee surgery. The staff is just as amazing. Before surgery while being prepped everyone was so caring and told me every little detail that was going to happen. After surgery as soon as I opened 1 eye they immediately called my husband to tell him I was awake. Dr Hoffman then came and saw me and told everything. I'm very very pleased with OA!!! Highly recommend

I had a rotator cuff surgery with Dr.Murray. The entire team was thorough and kind. Dr. Murray went above and beyond and ensured the necessary surgery was covered by my insurance after the company tried to decline part of the services the day before the surgery. I would highly recommend.
Just posted a very positive experience review of my surgeon, Dr. Asherman, but will do the same for the whole Center. All the pre and post op nurses, anesthesiologists, and helping hands were wonderful. I felt very well taken care of and look forward to post operative care.
Unfortunately, I am accident prone and a Veteran of Portland s OA. After tripping over a vacuum cleaner cord and hitting Both Elbows. (3 days later still in pain ) decided to go OA satellite walk-in clinic in Auburn. Once I got into the door, I was notified I needed a appointment . It would be a week later!! Called Portland s OA. Friendly voice answered , no wait here. From walking in door to X-rays and meeting the PA and confirming No Breaks was All done in less than 1 hour. I then revived a call at home , Brother broke his collarbone @ Sugarloaf and needed a surgeon. Back on the phone with Portland OA @4:30 on a Friday ,Danielle was so Sweet & informative. Within in minutes my brother had a appointment that Monday with a shoulder specialist .Now that is Service ! Thanks for All do.
Great doctors, friendly staff, clean office. Can't say enough good things about them. My daughter tore her meniscus and Spectrum did the repair. They are amazing
I have had great experiences here, with Dr. Hoffman for 2 knee scopes and Dr Asherman for ankle surgery. I trust this practice, and have had 3 successful surgery s.
Quite long but please read. About 3 years ago now I got knee surgery from an ortho in Ellsworth (not of which I am writing a review) as I was still experiencing significant pain and read positive reviews about OA in Portland I opted to travel the 4 hours for what seemingly was superior care. Long story short for about a year I received injections of Euflexxa and it was improved so every six months I continued with injections (although I surely will eventually require a knee replacement). This summer I went to get my next dose of injections assuming I d be given the SAME injections however the PA administered cortisone....so after driving 4 hours I did not receive the treatment I desired and had NEVER been given previously. While frustrating I chalked it up to what could have been substandard communication. Waited the 8 weeks, paid for the injections I didn t want, and drove ANOTHER 4 hours (which wouldn t have been necessary had it been done the first time) seeking what I went for the first time. This time I got the doctor who was in the room all of five minutes, a literal five minutes, and said he would get approval from insurance and get back to me. Frustrating but seemingly closer to my objective. Fast forward a month (having heard nothing) I get a bill for $220...extremely frustrating as I still have not received the care I need...being a 34 year old with two children and unable to mount a flight of stairs...I cal and ask why I m being charged TWO HUNDRED and TWENTY dollars when nothing was accomplished, and the extremely pleasant billing lady looked into it...and the doctor never submitted anything to the insurance and claimed to be in the room for half an hour, and while I didn t receive the care I d been in for TWICE the doctor did in fact meet with me and this I am responsible for the bill. Ok so to clarify. I ve now paid for cortisone injections which I didn t want and paid about $500 for that, $220 just the doctor to not even be bothered to submit an approval and over 8 hours of fuel....and I still have no euflexxa injections and am still unable to mount a flight of stairs. Should anything change I am willing to edit my experience but so far as I can see I would steer very clear.
Here the people care. They work hard to help you one on one. If something doesn't work they will try until something does. They explain things in which one understands. Excellent OT and PT. THEY ARE GREAT HERE.
