We were not looking to buy a toyota, initially. We were price comparing Toyotas vs honda civics. When our sales rep heard the features we wanted, he noticed a recent trade in, a Corolla LE premium, had all we wanted and more. I did not even know about the LE premium trim. They treated us well, scheduled our touch-up painting and clay bar treatment and provided a 2019 Camry loaner while we were waiting on the Corolla. This is the second Tom O'brien car we have bought and liked both experiences. There was not a high pressure sales tactic and other salesmen were helpful with questions when ours did not know the answers.

Worst experience of my life. I bought a new car from them and they still haven't given me my spare key for the past 8 months. I've contacted the sales person as well as one of the managers and no action has been taken. The salesperson has been very unprofessional and never followed up with me in terms of key requests. He basically dropped my case and never looked back. After contacting the manager, he never got back to me. I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY KEY and no response. So, BE CAREFUL when you buy a car from them, make sure you get both of your keys before taking the car with you. I don't trust them and won't recommend them to my family or friends.

Friendly folks, but during my cross country trip and my Prius broke down near Indy. I had the disabled car towed to the service department on Sunday, I didn t receive a call back about the diagnosis until Wednesday! Even when calling in earlier they couldn t even give me the status or when they would be able to get to it. I get being busy but this was disappointing. Had the car taken to independent shop.

I am extremely satisfied with O Brien Toyota. They are honest which I appreciate. They could have sold me two tires but fixed the one I had instead. The service department personnel are friendly, patient and explain everything. The whole dealership is very clean. I have purchased my last two cars there (Rich Hall is a great salesman) and I would not hesitate to recommend them to family and friends.

Convenient appointment scheduling through web system, and friendly, knowledgeable staff make this dealer my top choice for maintenance in the Indianapolis area. Make sure to let them know that you made your appointment through their web portal as they have two scheduling systems that don t integrate reliably at this point (June 2019).

My experience wasn't positive at all. It appears that mistakes were made in the service department and not rectified. When brought to their attention finger pointing occurred. It went from a simple request to check my electrical system to that's not something we can do. Or a simple request to check the side mirror on the vehicle to, customer declined to replace his mirror. This is unacceptable. You just lost a customer.

Great experience working with Hal Parks (sales) and Daurius Gazulaitis (used car manager). Hal was very attentive to what I was looking for in my next vehicle. He also was always prompt in his follow-up. He is very personable, not pushy, and genuinely cares about the needs of his client. Daurius, was very helpful and willing to answer any questions I may have regarding my chosen vehicle. Thank you Hal and Daurius for your time and I appreciate all your efforts. I would consider O'Brien Toyota again in the future and would recommend them to others.

I have been buying cars from O Brien Toyota for 20 years. They re honest, sell good cars and actually care about their customers. My salesman , Dale, actually calls up AFTER we ve bought cars from him a week, a month, sometimes even a year later, just to check in and see how the car is running. Highly recommend!

I ordered a visor for the driver's side over two weeks ago they said it would be in about 2 days and would call me when it came in however I never got the call so I just showed up to see if it was in. when they put the visor in the tech didn't double check it and he didn't put it in correctly so they had to redo it all over again The service person was great and the person I work with at the desk and parts was also very helpful.... This is just like a tech not putting the oil plug in after he changes the oil correctly The person would have driven off could have blown the engine..

Great sales experience with Keith Carter. We bought a 2017 Camry in October 2016 and the thoroughness you get from Obrien for the price was unbeatable. We bought the 10 year Ziebart package with our car as well. When we scheduled this service, Obrien loaned us a car for the day and had it waiting and ready for us at pick up. Customer Service is key anywhere you go, but when you are making a $30,000 purchase its always comforting to have people who know what they are doing to make it such a smooth process. Thank you Obrien Toyota, we will always come back here. Scheduling first service today, will follow up later.

Great experience overall. Staff (service techs to the cashier) was helpful, thorough. Service was quick and they gave me a break on a battery test, easing several of my concerns in the process. Good guys and I ll definitely go back for future service needs.

I purchased my Celica in 2000 which I still love. I am especially pleased with the service I receive as I always bring in my car for oil changes and maintenance. The service manager, Dan Johnson, always seems to have time for his customers, and goes above and beyond to help. I always feel I have been treated fairly and with respect. I would highly recommend this dealership to everyone for sales and service.

I have always appreciated the thoroughness and honesty and integrity that the O'Brien Toyota Service Department provides whether it's something I need or thought I needed. I thought I might need an alignment but they said I didn't. They give me a heads up when things are nearing attention and give me an idea when they think it will need to be addressed whether it be tires, brakes, filters, wipers or whatever. I have always been addressed promptly and honestly. I even take my Lexus there for service. They're the BEST!

I was not pleased with my scheduled maintenance service. I m not sure they even rotated my tires because the back tires seem to have the most tread. I would think a rotation would put those in front, since most wear is on front tires. Anyway, I can t prove that and I forgot to mark the tires so I would know. They did seem to check tire pressure because two caps are missing. Looks like they failed to put them back on. Also, they said I needed new tires. That is just not true. There is some wear but still lots of tread for at least another year. They said I need brake pads and again, I have some good wear. I will be having another company look at them for second opinion but I only have 31,500 miles and I ve already been told by a mechanic friend he would not recommend replacement. Very disappointing and I will be finding an honest new service place. People take women to be naive. It is not worth driving back for my tire stem caps, I ll have to buy new ones. Thanks Toyota, I gave you a chance....

Was set to service then parts on the phone for 15 min when I finally got some it felt like they did not want to bother helping me and tried to redirect me to check the owner s manual that I don t have. After explaining to him that I did not have access to it he tried to get me to call Toyota help center. Or I would hav ego wait AGAIN on hold to get a tech to help me figure out the gear ratio for the rear end. Horrible experience wouldn t even want to go and buy a car at this dealer if that was what I was looking for.

First, let me say that I did not purchase a car from Tom O'Brien, this review is based solely on negotiating a price. However, I was very disappointed in that process. I felt that my sales rep "Mo" was intentionally deceitful. During an email exchange I felt that I was very clear in what I was requesting. Email exchange is posted below.
My emails to Mo:

"Mo, I am ready to buy. If you guys can give me $5000 for my trade and the 4 runner we talked about at $42,700. We will be there tonight or tomorrow to buy. "

and

"Before I drive to the east side I want to be clear on what we are talking about
2018 4 runner, limited, black on black, 4X4, running boards, third row seats
Cost 42,700.00
Additional fees: Tax at 7%
Title at $16
Doc at $149
Trade in Rav 4 at $5000.00
Is all of that correct?"

Mo's response
"Everything you says is correct and it will be up to you when would you like to buy you can send me your credit card inform to my phone 317 xxx xxxx or just call me with credit card info thanks Mo oh it will be $899 plus tax if you would like to Ziebart the vehicle please thanks Mo . "

When I walked in the door at the dealership that night I was greeted by Mo. I asked to use the restroom before we sat down to finalize terms. The first thing Mo said was "can I have your credit card." My answer was no. Upon returning from the restroom I asked to see the final paperwork and at that time discovered that Mo interrupted the above email to mean that I wanted to pay $42,700 for every thing, not that $42,700 was the price of the car. At which time I explained to Mo that he had wasted my time in coming over to see him and that I was not interested in paying his originally quoted price of $44,661. He then asked if he could discuss this with his manager the next day and then give me a call. Of course, I have never heard from Mo again.
So was my email ambiguous or is this just another case of bait and switch and hope you don't recognize what was done until it is too late.

I just drove home in my new car and had to share my experience. I had the easiest and best car buying experience ever. My salesperson Danielle Lovins was wonderful. I started looking at purchasing a newer vehicle over 6 months ago. Danielle spent a morning with me test driving every model I could imagine. At that time, I just couldn't let go of my 10 year old car. I told her I would be back in the fall to shop seriously. There was no pressure for 6 months. When I returned, Danielle let me spend time again in different models. I am a Honda owner and I was looking at a Used Honda and a new Toyota. No pressure to buy a Toyota, Danielle allowed me to pick the best car for me. I chose the Honda over the Toyota but that was just my personal preference. Danielle then spent a day learning about the Honda and I was amazed during delivery that she knew so much about the car. I had a wonderful experience and recommend Danielle to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle, no matter what the make it.

I ve been doing business with O Brien for over 12 years.

What do you want in a car dealer?
1. Competent, friendly, knowledgeable staff, who remember your name, and work patiently with you to find the car you want? Check! (and trust me, they were very patient)
2. A salesman who knows the product line, and is actually someone you want to talk to, instead of someone you have to talk to? Check!
3. A buying process that is totally absent of any drama or shenanigans, that results in a great price? (Yes I checked the internet, it was a great price!) Check!
4. A service department that you can actually trust, and who does good work, at a price that is competitive, that goes the extra mile and stands behind the work? Check!
5. If problems happen, they address them without issue and deliver exceptional resolutions? Check!!

These guys and gals get my business! If you have not had the same experience with your new car purchase, go see Frank at O Brien Toyota.

I think there are three "quality" components that should be considered when choosing a dealership from which to purchase an automobile: the quality of the sales staff, the quality of the vehicle and the quality of the service department. In my opinion, this makes O'Brien Toyota in Indianapolis a great place to purchase a car. My wife and I have been impressed with the knowledge of the sales staff - particularly Mike Ramon - and his willingness to understand our needs and apply them appropriately to the vehicle that best suits those needs. The vehicles we have purchased, the Avalon and two hybrid Camrys, have exceeded our expectations for quality and functionality. They are truly outstanding fuel-efficient and stylish automobiles. O'Brien's service department has always treated our cars as if they were their own. I don't think I can ask for anything more than that. I highly recommend O'Brien Toyota for new and used car needs.

The person who helped my wife and I find our vehicle was Danielle Lovins. She was wonderful to work with. She was great to communicate with, quickly responding via email or text. She was flexible, finding times to meet with us that fit our schedule. She provided a thorough overview of all the features in the vehicle including demonstration and setup of key features. We walked away with a great deal on a great vehicle and Danielle made the process enjoyable. I would call upon her again in the future if I was in need of finding another vehicle. WONDERFUL! Fabulous. Let me as a proud Mother of a 25 year old full-time college student, full-time employee and part time National Guard Army son. Obviously, he is a very responsible man. Who is not mechanically inclined with vehicles. Who doesn't pay attention to most of the small things because he is full-time into everything he's working hard to accomplish every day. He has been driving a 2004 Grand Prix GT, with an exhaust leak into the cab, broken windshield and etc. I worry every second of every day that the vehicle, traffic or random street violence will harm my son. Brandon, my son, finally decides to upgrade vehicle's. Instead of doing a trade in with said vehicle, is going to donate it to a homeless woman in need. So... By the time we reached the showroom door, a gentleman was holding the door open with a friendly welcoming smile, ready to assist us. Let's start with presentation of facility and employees. Exceptional and professional. Clean and welcoming atmosphere. Mike was our salesman and he became a part of our family immediately. He worked to not only put my son in a safe vehicle but for as little money as possible. 5 star's Mike and Toyota dealership. Not only is my son extremely happy, this mom has many less worries as well. Merry Christmas!

Unfortunately this experience wasn't the best. I brought my car in to have my O2 sensor replaced. It had been a year since it was diagnosed and I finally had the money to fix it. I was pleased that the appt only took 45 minutes but then I drove to the northern part of the city and all my dashboard lights came back on. I called and Tammy said to bring it back in. I will say that Tammy took good care of me. But the result was that my other O2 sensor was now bad. I was frustrated that this wasn't detected when I was still at the dealership. It messed up my entire day and I wasted gas driving back to the dealership.

Jeremy was knowledgeable, clear, thorough, and personable as I weighed my options for a used or new car. He answered my many questions in a way that helped me determine what purchase seemed right to me, without pushing a sales agenda. The financial process paperwork went smoothly with Derek Keller, and thanks to Tim for the thorough touch-up work. I am very happy with my purchase and with the process that got me here. My last visit for service was during the Covid-19 ...

My last visit for service was during the Covid-19 pandemic. I am told the people working directly on my car wore masks and gloves, but no customer service employees anywhere had masks on. I am 61 and wear a mask to protect others in case I have the virus and am asymptomatic. O'Brien employees should have the same courtesy towards me even if they try to enforce 6' social distancing. I called the manager later and he said the techs also wipe down the car interior they have touched before and after servicing the vehicle, but I did not know this. He was to recommend to the service department that customers be made aware of this.

My family has been a long time customer of O'Brien. I recently moved away from the area and haven't found another Toyota dealership that is as honest, trustworthy and reliable as O'Brien. The service department consistently goes above and beyond to provide nothing short of excellence. The sales manager has always provided fair pricing, even providing good deals, for any car purchases we have made. Given my experiences so far, I will continue to drive the extra distance to O'Brien because it is worth it.

My wife and I received prompt attention from our salesman Andre Wright when we first walked into the dealership. He was very knowledgeable regarding the RAV4 technically, and most courteous and professional in his demeanor. He answered all of our questions and concerns with deference and ease. We could easily see that he cared about us, and our point of view in such a major purchase. We feel that what we saw in Mr. Wright is also reflected in O'Brien Toyota overall, and would recommend both to friends and family. To Mr. Wright and O'Brien Toyota - job well done.

Just wanted to let O'Brien Toyota know what a pleasant experience it was over the last two months dealing with you. Sales person Miranda K. was as gracious as she was professional. I've been dealing with Toyota for a decade and have owned/leased a Tacoma, FJ Crusier, and this is my 3rd Venza. Must say, Miranda tops my list of sales persons to to help me with any questions or concerns. Thanks Miranda and thanks O'Brien Toyota. Was worth the drive.

I always get great service on my Corolla. Usually it's general maintenance, but there was a time for an extensive engine repair that luckily was still under warranty. My wait time is always reasonable and I love to be able to schedule my appointments at times and dates that work for me from their website. Everyone is pleasant and the place is clean. And most important, they all behave like they want to be there. Must be a pretty great place to work!

Very unfortunate. I brought my son's 2013 Corolla...

Very unfortunate. I brought my son's 2013 Corolla in for an oil change. I requested that they just do the oil change and ignore the filters which I'll replace myself. The staff is friendly and I fully expect to have a charge for labor. That having been said, during the customary inspection they discovered that one of the license plate lights was out. I was charged $21.00 labor for replacement of a $1.25 bulb. I'll come in for oil changes because the price is reasonable and I know that they'll do it properly. I will never allow O'brien to do any maintenance on the vehicle. At $110 and hour for labor it's well worth it to do simple maintenance ourselves. You're pricing yourselves out of the repair business.
