I was told by my OB/GYN doctor and my doctors office that NxGen offers a NIPT test for no more than $200 cash, as $200 is the rate the office negotiated with their NxGen rep. My bill was $1400. My Dr. office contacted their NxGen rep, who said he d call me to fix the bill. No one called. I ve been calling and emailing my bill is still $1400. UPDATE: 5 MONTHS later (+ A LOT of calls/emails) NxGen changed my bill to $199.

I agreed to testing with this business through my doctor's office. I have had the worst experience dealing with this company and I regret working with them for my genetic testing. It has been a non stop total nightmare. They have unethical billing practices and unhelpful customer service. I would not recommend their services to anyone.

NxGen messed up my lab results and my doctor and I found out 2 months later that they had been wrong. I requested a redo with a different lab but was denied, I had to go through NxGen again. The second time they did my blood test they did not post the results for over 2 weeks. It was already EXTREMELY time sensitive to begin with! I have never been so stressed out in my life! I was in tears for days on end from the stress of needing my results. I had my doctor office calling and I was calling over and over and the results were delayed and delayed some more. Over 2 weeks! Unacceptable. I believe NxGen delayed the results to punish me for complaining the first time since they were wrong. I'm furious at their terrible handling! I would leave zero stars if I could.

If I could give 0 stars then I would. Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. I would say that most people who want the genetic testing done are concerned that something may come up on the results. Therefore, the customer service should be excellent and they should have some kind of therapeutic communication. I called and spoke with Chanda Crenshaw and she was so disrespectful. I was confused about the payment with my insurance compared to a self-pay. She kept rudely interrupting me, blowing her breath at me, and just sounded irritated the entire time. Please do NOT go through them for genetic testing. Very unprofessional.

I had a similar experience as several of the previous reviewers. My OB office had a $48 contract rate yet I received several different bills for different amounts (all over $3000). I had two different reps I was dealing with to try to resolve, the last of whom never called me back after our last conversation in which she said she would call me with a resolution. That was over a year ago! I had to deal with this bs for a while until I told them I was tired of dealing with it on top of dealing with miscarriages it was just too much! Do better!
