Had the Lemon crepe, crab omelet, and Castro sandwich. Don't forget the mimosas! Everything was SO wonderful! Generous amount of filling in each entree. It took a little longer for get the food, but it is definitely worth the wait. Kind servers, and you can hear the cook/dish washer singing away. Love this place!! Nice place to chill and converse with friends.
Went here this last Sunday and it was pretty good! The menu was a good variety and plenty to choose from. The service was just okay and it took about 15 minutes before we got to place our drink order. My coffee ended up having lots of grounds in it and didn t taste the best. I got the chocolate caramel crepes and one friend got the lemon crepes. Both were very good. My other friend who go the breakfast burrito though had the best dish hands down. Loved that one. We also finished the meal with peppermint mochas which were delicious. Would consider going back if I m ever in Eau Claire again
We had a party of 10 people so we had a wait of 45 minutes. Well worth the wait. Had an inside and outside waiting area. The dinning area was open and had enough room around our tables. Service was really friendly. They kept an eye on out coffees and waters. Food was also a wait but we were in no rush. Very good food with a lot of verity. Would recommend to groups or 1 on 1 meet ups that aren't in a rush.
I was visiting for a college visit and we decided to stop here and I am so glad we did! We might have to make a trip to Eau Claire again just to eat here! We got a breakfast burrito, hash browns, and the cream cheese stuffed french toast and OH MY GOD! Super great portion sizes and huge cups of real whipped cream for the french toast! The breakfast burrito was not your typical egg and sausage burrito, either! It had black beans, fantastic pork, and eggs! Hash browns were to die for! Probably the best food I've had in the past year! Also, the workers there were so friendly and personable! I can't wait to come back here to try other menu items!
I've eaten here several times and this is definitely one of the better spots in town to eat breakfast. Last time I had two eggs over easy with hashbrowns and toast and it was good. My mom had the apple fritter french toast which she lived and my aunt had the lemon ricotta pancakes which were really good too!
Our family was visiting eau claire and decided to give this place a try. I sent my boyfriend to pick up our order. Fist id like to start off with the service. From what he told me, Its impeccable. Second, I ordered a sandwich that included two Portobello mushrooms caps on it. I don't know what compelled me to order this because I Don't like mushrooms lol but WOW the sandwich was so good! I didn't even take the mushrooms off lol. My boyfriend got a salmon bagel he wasn't a huge fan. I finished his sandwich lol but heres the kicker I Don't LIKE FISH EITHER. But his salmon sandwich was delightful. The salmon tasted like it was fresh out of the water. I still don't like fish or mushrooms but every time im in eau claire I will be eating here.
Never fails to disappoint! Just want to say their gravy for mashed potatoes? AMAZING! I ve asked for extra before and they gave me a whole container full on the house.
Just ordered their vegan Breakfast Sammy for my partner, who said it was amazing and so flavorful. I ordered the two Biscuits & Gravy again, so flavorful. The gravy was like velvet. I have a big appetite so I normally need more than one dish to satiate, but I was full halfway through! I got the $8 large mac and cheese, expecting it to be maybe the size of a mug given recent experiences at other places (small, small portions...) but NO, it s a pie pan full of mac! And it tastes great! What!?
Partner and I were amazed. The Nucleus has been consistently fulfilling and cheap, in terms of small local, for what you get! Wait time was only 20 minutes ordering online and employees are always kind.
Im trying to order take out and Im out of town an hour away. There is nothing but a busy signal and this is the only vegan option in the area.
Slower service but they seem to make everything as you order so that makes sense. The food is always so good, coffee was decent but overpriced for what I received. Very cute place, the decor and setup is very quintessential Eau Claire. I will go back when they offer in-person seating!
