Beautiful, prayerful, and historic. Could spend all day here.
Beautiful, prayerful, and historic. Could spend all day here.
God bless us all. Free monument in part, to visit the treasure is paying, as well as the towers.
Ps: to visit the towers, you must make a reservation before, the price is 10 euros.
Otherwise it is one of the most beautiful cathedral in the world. Enjoy
The history and architecture is breathtaking. There are free tours given, people will hold signs up. We randomly stumbled into one of these and it was worth it.
we took conducted trip very nice experience ...when we were at the queue for entrance suddenly police squid come and told please vacate the area because of suspected terrorist activity .our guide was very nice parson he guided us what to do and than he took us to river side and explain history of that area
in my opinion beautiful but not beautiful.
aesthetically very beautiful for its Gothic style.
internally it did not excite me.
the tourist tour is highly recommended to go to the top of the cathedral to admire its statues and the city of Paris seen from above.
attention to the line !!!!
If you like looking at churches/cathedral then defo worth a visit
Notre Dame is iconic. It's history is unbelievable. Take a tour if possible, reserve online before leaving. Inside is very crowded with people. There are icons and portraits of church history (Catholic church). Very crowded. A tour is where you should be.
Will be reborn from its ashes in the near future for the happiness of all of us.
Beautifull church! The Christmas decoration however ....
WoW !! Majestic . There was a mass when we came in and it was impressive to see how respectful people are.
The very famous Notre Dame. From books, movies, cartoons. Really nice inside a lot to look at inside. When you are standing at the Square in front of the doubler Towers. Just behold you there is a crypt showing the life beneath the Street.
The old heart of Paris. Worth a visit just to admire the craftsmanship of the builders.
Amazing site back to gothic times. Colorful stained glass windows. The history of the church and france.
Incredible building, nice taking a trip to the top (your legs will ache when you get there) but well worth seeing Paris from up there. Shame about the netting, although safe it's slightly distracting.
Nice to see but the long line and noisy interior detract from it. Much prefered the less busy churchs. The tour of the towers is decent although another long line, even after getting our ticket with a time to show up we had to wait another half hour
Probably the most well known of all the Gothic Cathederals, this immense stone cathederal, will not disappoint anyone, the entire structure is a work of art and a religious exercise. The only drawback is the number of tourists who visit here. I personally thought the tour of the towers where you can see up close the Gargoyles was a let down.
Attended a concert: Bach's St. Matthew's Passion. Great venue for great music.
An incredible, holy call, with a unique energy. It is worth adding it in the script.
Unfortunately, visit with an organized tour, I could not fully enjoy the beauty, the greatness and the charm that emanates at the first glance and I regret it! I stood looking at her open-mouthed trying to impress in the mind the most details and there are! I hope I can come back on my own and dedicate all the time it takes to a similar masterpiece !!!
Long queue but move quickly. It is worth to visit this famous church
We were fortunate enough to view the Cathedral from the river. The architecture is beautiful and the statues of the Apostles make for a great photograph if you can see them on the roof.
It looks ugly because of the supporting walls from the outside.
Majestic, i suggest going front row to be concentrated during the prayer. beautiful organ , and a powerful feeling of warmth .
Beautiful view, too bad there is this barrier which makes it extremely hard to take pictures with a bigger camera. Waiting lines on the tower itself are pretty long but I think it is worth your time and patience to have a this gorgeous view over Paris.
Very nice and small place showing the Roman culture. Would recommend if you have some time to spend 30 minutes in.
Beautiful cathedral with regard to architecture, but I was unpleasantly surprised by the lack of respect of the tourists inside the building and moreover during the office. I also advise the climb to the towers: the view is of course beautiful, but the staff responsible for supervising visitors is non-existent or unpleasant. Several times we found ourselves in dangerous situations because he could not manage properly the flow of tourists who climbed from one floor to another. No indication of the course, even less explanations on the history of the cathedral and architecture ... 10 euros stolen.
Beautiful building, fantastic architecture, so well kept, the Christmas tree outside was lovely, and so much work went into the crib.
Well what to say, very beautiful!
You can quickly see it from the inside while to climb up the towers there is a lot of line. Better to book before otherwise you risk just not being able to climb. There is an App called SaltaCoda for IOS and Android that manages the inputs.
Entrance to the church is free. If you want to go to the top, line up on the left. It is free for European residents aged 18-25. Nice scenery on the top floor. It is a spiral staircase like the Arc de Triomphe, with a higher order.
Interesting for every scaffold builder.
Worth seeing
Beautiful and educational. Fantastic tours, it to mention you can walk out of the cathedral look down onto the river Seine & see the area where The Highlander T.V. show had Dncan McLeod's barge placed when filming! Much cleaner than most other areas of Paris
The cathedral is beautiful though the long entry lines even at the opening take away from its charm. Also the treasure exhibit is a bit overpriced at 5euro and even more shocking is that there's only one public toilet in the entire complex that charges you an exorbitant 2eur.
One of the Gothic masterpieces par excellence. Looking at it in the picture doesn't make it. Live is a structure of immense beauty. Inside the windows are wonderful and with a reservation and a little patience for waiting, I also recommend visiting the towers. 400 steps to reach the top and enjoy a wonderful panorama of Paris.
My most favorite place we visited in Paris in August 2018 along with the Sacre-Coeur Cathedral. Magnificent historical monuments that brought tears to my eyes. And the Parisians believe the authentic thorns of Christ are encased there which was extremely moving to me spiritually.
Lots of pigeons to play outside the cathedral. Bring some bird food.
Beautiful church, it surprised my expectations.
A lot to see inside
You can donate to the church or buy a candle to light. Both with cash and cards
Although not possessing the enormous dimensions of the great cathedrals of northern France such as Amiens or Beauvais, the notre dame de Paris is an impressive Gothic, harmonious, solid and grandiose construction. Its relatively small size gives it a remarkable stability and structural solidity. Over the centuries its pillars have indeed remained perfectly vertical and despite the age, no signs of structural failure have so far been detected.
Started in 1163, its construction was completed only around the middle of the fourteenth century. century.
The structure is fascinating inside as well as outdoors and you could spend whole days observing it, studying its details and the architectural and artistic refinements.
Visiting this church you can not only appreciate its architecture, its sculptures, its stained glass windows, its enormous rosettes with a diameter of 13 meters, the gargouilles ... but here you can also breathe the history of France. All the kings of France and also Napoleon bonaparte 1. were crowned here.
Spectacular, an architectural masterpiece. Worth visiting the bell towers, but I highly recommend buying the ticket online skip-row or you risk waiting for hours
One of the best churches in the world, just like the cartoon movie!!!!
Come early (they open at 8am) to avoid the long wait in line for entry. The gothic facade outside, the impressive architectural interior, and the sounds of the ten ringing bells make this destination a must while in Paris.
Another must visit when in Paris. Lovely architecture and you can almost imagine Quasimodo the hunchback running across the rooftops.
Lots of souvenir stalls here, as expected. Don't bother with the boat tours unless you have time.
Amazing edifice. If you're into gothic architecture, it's a must see!
An absolute must. Walk around outside to see it all but make sure you go inside. Its amazing.
The main cathedral of Notre-Dame is free to enter; the line is hard to miss as it snakes out from the front door across the square. The tour to go up to the top is not free. You must make a reservation for a time slot at the kiosks near the More
The organ being played is an extra on top of the beauty of this Gothic cathedral.
Not as special as you may think. Definitely worth a visit, but most sights of Paris are more interesting.
Very beautiful and the truth that impresses, its architecture marks a leap in terms of design and technique
Anytime you travel please try doing a tour. Even more so when your in a country and you dont even speak that language. Ha! Tour guides are the best, they give you the scoop on everything about the place. The cathedral was absolutely beautiful. Im sure i missed a lot admiring the ceilings. Yes they are fairly simple. I couldnt help but notice the heads up on the ceiling. Good and bad ones.
you can see the relic of JESUS CHRIST'S crown of thorns at one of their side altars
The legend of this place is just mind blowing, must read about it before visiting, and must visit if you are in Paris!
Cant explain in a word! Such a beautiful cathedral with stunning stained glass. If you are a Catholic, dont miss the daily mass!
Notre Dame... The most famous and beautiful cathedral in France.
