I spend two years at the school many years ago. It was a huge learning experience and exposed me to many new ideas and concepts I might not have otherwise been exposed too. I made great friends and later dedicarles my life to the service of others as a nurse and community activist. It was during the turbulent late 6o s. I wish I had been able to graduate from the school but left after sophomore year due to economic reasons. It prepared me well for life in many ways.

I went there for a Summer Session. The school is absolutely beautiful. The staff are very helpful and I have met some many wonderful people from around the world. I learned so much in the Summer Session. If God allows, I will be soon attending that school for a year and I will go to the 2013 Summer Session. It is worth it.

As an alum of NMH from the olden days (back when girls attended Northfield and the boys MH), I wouldn't trade my experience there for the world. I made awesome friends there who have been a wonderful part of my life for over 40 years. DL Moody, who started the schools back in 1879, provided amazing values and expectations. The work program, the Socratic teaching method, debating with teachers encouraged as long as you could "back it up" with evidence, ideas, thoughts, suggestions, learning with both your head and your heart. Northfield was much harder academically than Tufts where I got my BA, and though Tufts was a great experience, Northfield gave me the basics and an amazingly solid foundation that has stood the test of time. I was lucky to go there.

NMH was, and still is, an extremely special place for me. The academic environment was challenging, rewarding and unlike anywhere else. The social/emotional environment was outstanding - the school really laid the groundwork for its students to become life-long learners, passionate workers and people who truly want to change the world. I was completely prepared for college - and ready for after college. I still remain extremely active with the school, leading the Young Alumni Committee. I think the strength of the alumni base clearly shows what a fantastic school this is!

NMH is where I learned who I am, and I continue to be the best version of myself when I am there or with other NMH people. The school really lives up to its motto of educating the head, the heart, and the hand, and is full of passionate and dedicated teachers. I was so fortunate to attend NMH and would recommend it with my whole heart to anyone seeking an immersive educational experience.
