About Northern Suburban Special Recreation Association
Northern Suburban Special Recreation Association (NSSRA) is a non-profit organization that provides and facilitates year-round programs and services for children, teens, and adults with disabilities who live in the partner communities. NSSRA was founded in 1970 by a group of parents who wanted to provide recreational opportunities for their children with disabilities. Today, NSSRA serves over 1,000 participants annually from 13 partner communities in the northern suburbs of Chicago.
