A wonderful place to drive through offering an opportunity to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life It's so peaceful and relaxing and takes away the stress of life for a short time

Been up to Clay Bank car park to tend to rememberence area where my Dad's ashes were scattered.

Some of the most breathtaking landscapes the UK has to offer. Simply stunning.

Just beautiful I love traviling across the Moors to whitby

Lovely nature walk with marked and easy roads. Boardwalk by the lake is completely broken so not accessible for wheelchair. Saw signs for forest work but did not notice any which is good.

Nice place but worth the extra miles to visit lancashire instead.

Great place for walking your dogs. Can take easy or more difficult routes

Beautiful, wild and remote, perfect for outdoor adventures, but seldom too far from a welcoming pub with a decent pint and hearty food.

I have lived near these moors for most of my life. Lots of history and protected habitats, (e.g. ground nesting birds) and picturesque views.
For the more adventurous/energetic amongst us will find plenty of walks that take in the fields of heather, the coast and disused railways. Lots of disused mines can be found in the area, for those seeking a thrill.

Rosedale East Kilns. What an amazing place this is.

An unexpected surprise. This small fishing village and moors lifted my spirits and desire to paint again. Also the town where Captain cook lived which was a great surprise for an aussie to stumble upon

Lovely place to see very enjoyable lovely views.

Whilst it a very attractive area the car park is expensive

God's country at its finest. Can walk 2 hours without encountering a soul( though did see an adder this morning, but it didn't try to steal mine). Unfortunately Sunday morning visits tend to be busiest.

If you appreciate beautiful views and exciting terrain - you wont be disappointed. Lovely, friendly people with local eateries leaving you satisfied. Something for all the family.

Beautiful scenery fabulous walks, great place to visit In summer.

500 square miles of country side to go wandering in though I wouldn't recommend that anyone go alone. Best be prepared for what ever the English weather can throw at you.

Breath-taking, especially in August when the heather is purple.

Amazing views from parking area. Snowy landscape, had to turn round as road via Fylingdales closed by snow

My favourite walk in this area, gives the legs and lungs a nice workout with two steep valleys/hills to conquer. Beautifull views from the top and when the heather is in bloom it is really pretty.

One of the many gems of North Yorkshire. Great walks, scenery and lots of friendly people.

This is traditional pure moorland beauty with quaint townships and country pubs and steam railways. Absolutely wonderful in the North East.

It's a national park, it's in N Yorkshire, what more needs to be said?

Dalby Forest a great place for young and old and any combination thereof..

It's beautiful, well worth spending serious time. Apart from the moors themselves there are lots of attractions and activities to do. There's also the sea within easy reach so ideal for a family holiday. Whitby can get very busy during the holidays and it's also worth getting to popular places early to get parking especially near popular beaches.

The Seal Colony at Ravenscar and other views of the coast

Really spectacular place! Can say I have visited both the dales and the Moors and both spectacular definitely be coming back to this national park.

A bit wild this time of year but still some great walks
