North Sydney Leagues Club Review

I come to the club for Thursday night Trivia events and some show events. I always bring at least six friends. I am a member.

I am very concerned to note that club points are deleted at the end of each year. My team has won the trivia three times, and three times I have walked to the bar the next time to find that I have no points. Last night because of the December deletions, and twice before due to human error on their side.

I spoke to management about this expressing my dismay and they were extremely unhelpful and not at all customer focused, they just quoted the fine print in the membership rules. I have already booked another trivia night for 10 at a Surrey Hills pub as this type of service is unacceptable.




A very disappointing club experience. will go to Kirribilli next time.

I have been there several times as a members guest.Each time it has been most enjoyable, from the friendly service, excellent restuarant and bar at very reasonable prices

Still a nice place to go for a meal, or catch up with friends, staff are ok, food is nice

Very poor customer service at the Coffee Bar on Monday night.....2nd Dec 2019.....the young lass was more occupied with talking and chatting with staff members

I waited for 10 minutes after I ordeded my coffee.....when I went to ask for my coffee, she said....."I'm sorry .....I forgot "....as the coffee was prepared and waiting to be served

I asked goes fresh cup of coffee as the first one was lukewarm

Very good service, excellent food especially the chicken leg

We had a great time with the live entertainment show tonight. Lisa Hunt performed. Lots of fun. Good service. Great club.

Typical club. In this instance meals are a little step up from the norm but 'pokies' are there and the drinks are cheaper than a pub.

Seems to be very kid friendly, food is nicely presented but tends to be a little bland.

Terrible place. Security is rude. really rude. They are treating everybody like a criminal.

Good place for casual dinner or quick couple beverages, but not great. A local leagues club/ Rsl club feel about it...

Ridiculous that they close the kitchen so early. I ordered at 9.29 and they said the kitchen is already closed and refused to serve me.
Only "sandwiches" after 9pm.

Love ticket in a meat trey on Sundays. Long standing staff who are really helpful

Spent significant time here as a tourist and its just an amazing place to go. Drinks and food are great bang for the buck!

The food was really amazing! I really liked the sirloin steak, with the perfect crispy chips. The salmon was nice too. There was also a chef's selection menu for Nov and Dec which I want to try next time. The staffs were very very friendly here!!! They were all keen to help and their smiles made me happy;) I love the sqush classes here and I will keep coming here for sqush and relaxation

Entrance with membership is strictly enforced. If you bought a ticket for a show and if you live close to the club, expect to pay extra to join their membership for entry. Good is okay. Lots of undercover parking.

Meals are too expensive for a big non profit club. Profits from the huge pokies section should be going more into keeping meals affordable. Not everyone in the area is a gazillionaire. Lots of pensioners and people on fixed income who can in no way afford $50-60 for 2 people's meals and drinks.

Plus they don't put drinks menu on table so you always have to go to bar and grab wine menu and take it back to your table and ask everyone what they want. They have a food menu on each table.

Good place for dinner for the kids, and to hang out and chill.

Have visited here a number of time, as it is our "local". Am yet to have a bad experience. The food is great and the service is pretty spot on. Decent beer selection, although I'd love to see them get some Dad & Dave's in.

Well laid out & good kids play area. If you don't score parking onsite it's a bit tough on local streets but ok if you look around.

Food and service is always reliably good. Spacious and plentiful seating so you can safely adhere to social distancing. Good selection of beers.

Great bistro 'The Pantry' with a large selection of food. There is also a cafe with sandwiches, cakes and coffee. Good kids room with video games and tv's which show kids movies.

Great club . Great friendly and helpful staff . Terrific food and the members are lovely people .

Norths they keep the standard of the area. North Sydney is one of the very high profile suburb. Nice good place.

Overall experience on a recent Friday night was underwhelming. Firstly a member of my group ordered a chicken parmi which somehow was delivered to our table before we even returned from the ordering counter. This parmi in particular was cold and didn't even have the tomato layer, it must clearly had been a reject and the kitchen was keen to get it off there hands, fortunately a waiter was near by and we quickly rejected this parmi too. Once we had the meal re-made it was indeed warm but still lacked in-size, especially at this price point.

The other meal that we ordered, was the Beef Burger. When this arrived the bun was cold and slightly soggy. Overall the meal could have been larger compared to other clubs of this type.

The pokies section was clean and also has the loved smokies section, only downside is there system of withdrawing your ticket from the machine, which is actually done by using a card and can take a bit of getting used too.

Finally, the entrance from the carpark beneath could do with a makeover as it feels very outdated, dirty, smelling and plain just not up to the standards that are displayed with the rest of the interior at Norths.

Security and management at 1am in the morning told me and the company I keep to not be excited about winning while playing machines in the club because it causes a disturbance to other members. All 5 of them.
Now, even happiness is regulated.

A good local club.. it was recently renovated so it has a clean crisp feel. The food is 'good club food' and reasonably priced. Big pokie room.

Was there for a conference and facilities were good. Stayed behind for a meal and was disappointed. I ordered a medium rare steak which was overcooked and quite tough.

I recently hosted an event at Norths, what was meant to be an enjoyable evening turned out to be a complete disappointment and embarrassing night.
I brought in an external cake, which I had to pay a cake fee for, the staff threw out half of the cake without asking me if I wanted to take it home or if I wanted it thrown out.
The catering service was poor, all food was left on the tables to get cold and wasn't served to the guests. Then again, all the food which I paid for was thrown out and wasn't offered to be packed up to be taken home.
Staff were extremely rude to me and my guests. The staff also were overcharging my guests for drinks the entire night.
All issues were escalated to upper management, who refused to call me and offer any kind of apology.
No customer service exists at this establishment. My family and I have been members for over a decade and this is the experience and treatment we received.
Warning to anyone that is considering going to this place.

Great place to go with very friendly staff. Very large dining area which is great if it's quiet. The food varies greatly in quality and size. When it's quiet is amazing but if you go on a members draw night or any night that the kitchen is a bit overrun the food tends to shrink in portion size as well as quality. I do however enjoy a Parma or the roast of the day. Bingo is fun and the host Kerry is very welcoming to newcomers. Easy to play with a good pace so you're not waiting hours between numbers called. Lots of games and plenty of prizes. Free parking!

Has a kids games room so adults can enjoy bringing them along while still relaxing. Decent food choices.

Alright place to have a drink but nothing g8 bout it

My daughter's stance studio is renting the venue for half-annual performances. The place is fine, but beware the stage light guy, he makes photo shooting nearly to impossible.

We go for meals occasionally and it has always been so well presented and tasty.

Miniature casino. Absolutely despicable our government allows it.

Great place. Renovation has lifted the place menu is great.

Decent club with the usual options. Trinity Dan the man has been seen here.

I've Visite the Norths Chess Club. Nice location, friendly people. But it's hard getting back to Sydney CBD by Bus after 10PM.

Absolutely awesome spot for food and drinks. Friendly staff and good prices. I recommend the daily roast or the chicken parmy. Huge screen for big sporting events. Definitely a regular here! As a member, the prices are pretty awesome.

Beautiful venue. Was not there for the food but staff are friendly and the venue itself is really nice.

Once upon a time it was a Leagues Club, now it's a large cafe with ordinary mass produced food.

Great place for a function. Nice and close to airport
