I love my truck but this is one of the worst deale...

I love my truck but this is one of the worst dealerships I have ever gone through; sales and service. A month later still waiting to get my trucks paint touch up. Pending calls from my service advisor and service manager.

2/7/18 - I go in after being told my W2's would suffice for approval. Heart set on one car in particular, decide to go with less expensive. Get told monthly payment, sign here, sign here, go talk to this guy, sign here, paid 240 for insurance. Congratulations, here's the keys to your new Jeep. While this is going on my wife overhears our sales rep shouting about a sale and how fast it happened and how much time he had left to sell more cars.

Several days later I receive a call that they need a copy of my last check stub. I drive there and provide them with it. They tell me they'll call me.

Several days after I receive a text stating that they now need 3 months of check stubs, which I take pictures of after bothering my boss a SECOND time during a busy work day, and send as promptly as I can. We went in that night, my wife and I, to get the tank filled, find out too late that those guys go home early, and can't get Jeep detailed. Get told by finance guy that the 3 months provided were not the correct format, I would now need to provide the last 6 months of check stubs. I agree after some grumbling about having to bother my boss a third time, and tell them I will get it there Saturday. Saturday comes, my boss emails me the necessary documents, I print them, drive to the dealership and find out that they are CLOSED. Now normally I check hours, but when you tell TWO employees of a business you will be there a specific day, you'd think they'd mention they were closed. This is multiple nights now that I've wasted several hours of my time to provide information that should have been requested originally. Now you're wasting my TIME, my GAS, and my patience is being tested. Come back Sunday and give the necessary documents to them, get told they'll get everything finalized.

The very next day I get a voicemail as I can't answer my phone at work, that the financing cannot be approved without a cosigner. I call them and talk to a manager, he says he doesn't know he'll have to transfer me to finance, I get transferred to finance at approximately 6pm CST and get voicemail. I leave a voicemail with my name, the car I had, and my number and ask for someone to contact me asap. No one calls the entire night.

I got to work today, work the entire day, no phone calls. I get home, collapse on the couch after a hard days work and get a phone call. I answer and it's someone from the dealership. Instead of asking me about a cosigner I get asked when I'm bringing the Jeep back. I exclaim that I got told yesterday I needed a cosigner and that I left a voicemail and no one called me. Get told I can keep the Jeep if I get a cosigner but unless I can do that I need to return the Jeep. I have to argue to get anything answered, get told basically that I'm stupid and this is all totally legit and normal on your part, and that I had no rights and I better turn over the car..though I did get asked if I'd really keep a 22k Jeep over a 240 dollar insurance payment.

This is the WORST customer service I have EVER experienced in my ENTIRE life. Every day that I came back the original sales representative didn't even smile, in fact I honestly felt he was hostile at one point because all I got every time we saw each other after the 7th was a glare.

It's one thing to tell a customer 'PRE-APPROVED' and something else entirely to tell them they are "APPROVED". This is deceptive, this is shady, and this is downright nasty.

I call for anyone looking for a car to steer clear of this place like it's the next site for the black plague. Grudgingly the manager agreed they can cut me a check for the insurance payment, but what about the wasted time? the wasted gas? the enormous hit to my self esteem after fighting for the last 12 years to get to that EXACT POSITION only to be told TWO WEEKS later that you're not approved after being told you were approved.

I do have an issue. The mileage on my warranty paperwork was indicated as 999,000 and they haven t been able to adjust /fix it. I have to keep calling them to do so. Other than that Excellent service

I went in not knowing exactly what to expect but Calvin walked me through every step of the process with ease. If there was something I didnt understand he explained it. Everything was great. I wasn't expecting to drive off the lot with a brand new vehicle and he made it happen.

From when we got there to when we left he was so pleasant to work with wasn t aggressive like a usual salesman but took the time to build a relationship although the people in finance could use some customer service skills! Overall pleasant experience thank you for everything definitely going back to him next time

Charles, in the Service Department, was great! Literally, just scheduling an appointment was a huge ordeal at other dealerships. So for me to call on a Saturday afternoon and get my recall taken care of that following Monday morning...I couldn't feel more valued! Will definitely choose them, again!

I took my vehicle for a recall, was repaired and back home in less than 2 hours. I didn t even have to make an appointment, just showed up and got the work done. They had numerous bays open with numerous vehicle repairs going on to get everyone in and out as quickly as possible. Comfortable waiting room with fresh coffee

Sonny and Scott are two of the biggest losers in sales. Went there to look into a trade in. Took me 2 hours of waiting as Sonny was selling a car outside of his job.he spoke to his wife more than he did to my husband and myself .. I called the General Manager and reported him. Three weeks later I am still waiting on a return call. I. Bought 3 cars from this dealership in the past 4 years. Will never return.. go somewhere else they are crooks. Fiesta Honda had me in and out ..the service department is ok unless you have to deal with Charles. That's another hopeless situation. He is rude and unprofessional.

Northstar never got my 13 Charger R/T working right. I no longer own the vehicle and never ever take my business back to Northstar. I'd rather buy a vehicle and take my chances from honest Bob random car shop off the most crime ridden area next to a tent city full of meth heads and heroin addicts drinking natty ice then to ever step foot on Northstar dodge property.

I took my car in for service several month ago to get a new motor. My 1st service advisory (Debbie) was the most worthless employee in the service department period (more on her later). But it was in the shop for weeks without knowing what was going on debbie never called to let me know anything. I had to do all the to find out the status of my car. I call another day to find out what was going on and she was on fmla and got a new service advisory (Charles) he was much, much better but still not I would never receive feed back. I finally get my car back after for over a month of being in the shop. I take home and notice there is oil dripping from the motor and oil all around the motor and the undercarriage. I return to the shop to get it checked out, it has to goes back in the shop, so it back in the shop for another 2 or so weeks and again no calls to let me know any feed back it's me who has to do the calling and find out what is going on. I finally get it back after a week or so. I take it home and it was still leaking oil and they didn't clean the motor it still had oil everywhere on the bottom. (I should have checked it at the dealer) so I take it back again and it had to go back in the shop again!! They gave me a free rental and in the shop for a few more weeks again. But once again I recieved no calls no feed back. I wait a week to call to find out what is going on, when I do call I get Debbie (blah) I ask for Charles she said he is off, so I ask her for a status she say she cant tell me because she is not my service advisory and hang up. I call back and get another service advisory and tell him what happened (wish I could remember his name as he was very professional.) He says she could have told me something, so he tells me it in the shop and should be ready soon. The next day I get a call and that it is ready. I pick it up and it is no longer leaking oil and they cleaned the engine, the undercarriage and bay. But now it has a loud and noticeable tick and really don't wont to go through this entire ordeal again and wait another 2 or 3 weeks to get it back. But I'll have to since they did the work.

If I could go back in time I'd take my car to anyother dealership. If you're wanting feed back this is not the place to take it, you'll have to do all the calling to find out what is going on.

I give the total experience 1 star. Debbie negative stars if I could! Feed back 1 star. Charles 3 and half stars, he was professorial.

Biggest complaint is feed back and length of time it was in the shop.

I was attended quickly by the service person named Johnny and he took no time at all and getting my vehicle in and the service performed and before I knew it it was time to pick up my car. I own two Dodge vehicles and this is the only place I'll be taking my cars for service from now on

The parts department is great. They were able to get a part for me in a couple days vs online vendors who take weeks. They also delivered the part to my house after the local warehouse delivered the part to a different location. They went out of their way to get the job done right, the parts were priced fair, and the employees were pleasant to deal with. 10/10. I'll be sure to service my new Fiat Abarth there.

Everyone we dealt with from the sales manager to the porter were friendly and easy to deal with.The whole experience from looking at cars to the financing department was painless. I will be back to purchase another vehicle from them.

Warning..Warning... all the peoples who looking to buy a car or truck at this dealer North Star Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram FIAT on San Pedro... Please Do Not Buy Car Or Trucks there ..Run away ........... You are going Waste Your Time and Money there....... not all man is bad.. I have to give good 5 star for sale man services they are great customer services. But on Finance department. It's worst and nightmare ..Too much games..
1- your interest rate are high than any where else. They don't tell the true to you all the discounts and reimbursement you can get from your car or truck manufactures or reimbursement from state.. they keep all that for them self.. That is not honesty..
2- They're try to sale you the Extension warranty or Gap insurance when you not really need it. When you buy those insurance from them and you find out that you not need it and you want to cancel it.. That's the time you really hit the problem, headache, being tortured You around travel back and forth to the dealer to get your money back, even the protection warranty already issue the check to their dealer. The Dealership don't want to write the check to you or to your lender.. You feeling stupid that you should not buy the Extension or Gap insurance at first place.. On the Extension warranty they charge you from the time you buy a car even a new car Not after your car manufacture warranty expired.. So don't expect you will get full amount money as they promised you back... That was my problems..I canceled the Extension and Gap insurance and the protection warranty company already send the check to my Dealership. They advised me to come by the dealership to make sure the check will send to my lender. I came by the Dealership tell them what I need.. they let me see Tyler the finance manager officer.. I sitting around 30 minutes waiting for him when he working on No customer. When I tell him my problem he told me that's he aready issue the check to my bank lender.. I went home a month later when I make my truck payment the I ask my bank about the returning money from Dealership they tell that they don't got any check from them.. so they advised me to go back to Dealership ask for check # and transaction # and date..I go back to dealer and had waiting 30 minutes to see Tyler again. He come out and not look happy and tell me that's He already told me that he already send the money to the bank a month ago .....I told him that the bank haven' t got the money and I put him on the phone with the bank agent.. he told the bank agent that is there problem not him.. he already did his end.. and he tried to send me out of his office. The bank agent tell wait for a week to see if the check coming or call back and talk to supervisor. So more then a week later I call the bank and they tell me that no money deposit from Dealership and I have to get the check # and transaction #.. so I call to the Dealership looking for Tyler they putting me voice mail after voice mail nobody responded so I ask to speak to super finance manager.. And surprise That they haven't issue the check and I have to wait around 12- 18 weeks to get the money.. so alls the trouble I had go through with them..because they don't want to pay my money back..$4450.00 Until now I still don't get my money back yet... Sadly Don't Waste You Time And Your Hard Working Money At This Dealer... Now I'm writing all this.. I don't know what they are going to do with my truck if I bring it back to maintain or I have to bring my truck to somewhere else

Dropped off my 2006 Dodge Ram on a Thursday for a diagnosis. I was informed it will take 24s to run a diagnosis. Three days later, I heard absolutely nothing. When I drove to North Star in person (Saturday), my truck have not been touched. I asked for my vehicle back to never return for service at this location again.

Even though I didn't buy my new Ram 1500 in San Antonio I asked Ram customer service which dealer had a good service rating close to me and they told me North Star Dodge. So I checked out their reviews and liked how the service manager Alan McBain responded to and took care of issues. After explaining to Alan that my SOS and Assistance buttons didn't work he set me up with Joey Cabello my new Assistant Drive Manager. Joey took care of the problem and got me out to enjoy our new Ram. Thank you to all who took care of my problem.

The airbags on my Charger were recalled. I called and SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT a week in advance, and was told my car would be in and out in 8 hours. I bring my car in, I didn't get acknowledged by anyone for 5 minutes, and then I'm told they don't schedule appointments and they'll take my car, but it won't be done the same day. Service department doesn't know what they're doing.

1 Star only because I have to select at least 1 star. First off I drove up to the service drive and the porter was standing in the service bay. He never came out to greet me. I got out of my car and walked up to him to ask him a question about my Fiat. He said I needed to ask someone in service. At that same time a mechanic was walking by and the porter told me to ask "that guy" and pointed to the mechanic. The mechanic stopped and just stared at me, looking very bothered so I asked him the question and he just pointed to the service area windows and said go ask them and walked off. Ok, so 2 people apparently don't want to be here today. I walk into service and speak with the service adviser, ask him my question and his response was "is your car under warranty?" Well I'm not sure, but it probably isn't. He said then it will be $120-$130 just to run the VIN and tell me if there was a service bulletin on it. He rudely insisted that there is no way around it, yet never offered to find out if my car was indeed still under warranty or not. Okay so here's another employee who obviously has no customer service skills whatsoever, or just doesn't want to be at work today. So that's 3 people within 5 minutes that have not only persuaded me to drive all the way up to Austin whenever I am in need of service on my Fiat because this company isn't getting a dime from me based on their attitudes. They've also persuaded me to purchase my RAM Rebel elsewhere. This weekend I was planning on coming here (since it's closest to my house) to shop for / purchase a brand new RAM Rebel .... not so much anymore. I will go ANYWHERE else to make my purchase. I will also tell anyone who will listen to me verbally and in social media how pitiful the service department is here. I will NEVER do business here!

This place is a joke.. went in too look at a challenger for my husband last month.. Had a nice young man as a sales rep.. he did what he could for us. He was fairly new. Didnt really know too much..when it was time to talk numbers the GM stepped in charge wow he is fake. He acts like your the number one priority in the beginning, laughing telling jokes and letting his other sales reps use profane language.very unprofessional...looked like a cool laid back boss right? .but when it came to talk business his true colors came out. the price online wasnt the price they were giving me.. talking to me about numbers like I was incompetent..add ons hixden fees..and what not..clearly got the negative vibes from him and his attitude...when we told him where are payment could be he clearly laughed at our face and said ma'am were just waiting each others time.. im serious..literally he actually told us that...I will never go back that's for sure.. plus I got the same exact car for a lower price and lower payment.. at another dealership the next day.

As I pulled in to the service drive I was guided and greeted by the porter Christian very nice and kind boy. He was helpful in directing me to service advisor Joey in which I received valuable information on my vehicle with a professional attitude. Joey managed to get me a ride home through the shuttle service getting my vehicle in and out of the shop within the same day with quality work done to it. Perhaps the best service I ve received from my encounters with the porter, advisor, shuttle driver, and not to mention the quality work done to my vehicle by the technician. Thank you North Star Dodge.

This is got to be the worst run, most haphazardly managed dealership on the American continent. If you don t believe me just try to go get your car serviced. I believe there have to be some good people employed at this Business but I m thinking they are few and far between. Try not to trip over the trash that s always laying around.

I went in to cancel the warranties, and received nothing.
I"ve been trying to get someone on the phone at this dealership and nobody will return my voicemails. Everytime I took my car in for service they acted like I was bothering them. I still can't seem to get someone to call me back about this. I loved my Challenger but this dealership is the worst!

Service is terrible. My wife waited over 4 hours for a simple oil change. What makes this experience even worse is the vehicle was ready for more than an hour. The service rep that wrote her ticket up even walked by her 45 mins prior to be told it was ready. My wife had to literally ask what the status was on her car and that is when she was told it had been ready for over an hour. Total waist of my wife's life and very inconsiderate of the service reps there.

I spoke to Lorena Daugherty over text explaining my situation and what I needed for me to be able to purchase a car. She told me that she "will" get me everything I needed and we could make a deal happen so i drove all the way to San Antonio TX from Laredo TX just to go take a look at this car. Once getting there I figured out all the lies I was told to get me to walk into the dealer. Lorena Daugherty doesn't not have any authority in confirming a price on ANY vehicle, her only job is to get people to walk into that place. The sales manager David, told me that the internet price of 33k was the absolute lowest and that he had to add $1400 to the internet price just to turn the car over to me. Wasted my time coming here.

The maintenance dept is a JOKE! VERY POOR,UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE.... I dropped of my dodge truck at 8:30 am for a recall and battery drawing issues. I had to call and check status on my truck at 5:30pm cause I hadn't heard anything. They hadn't even touched my truck. I had to call to find this out,said I would have to leave overnight. Sure let me just pull my 2nd vehicle out of the garage!! Place us a joke. I don't see why they're always over priced if this is there quality of workmanship.

North Star Dodge service department lacks integrity! The technicians aren t trained fully either. They ll take your money without truly making sure your car was fully repaired. They ll flat out lie to your face! Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle somewhere else. I wish I had never taken my vehicle to this horrible place.

Very disappointing experience overall. I feel that they lure you in with an attractive internet price, but once you come in, they tell you that it s not the actual price, but $1700+ more on top of that and then TT&L on top of that. I find it very deceiving. And it took them forever to figure out if they had the car on the lot or not. One person said that they had it and he had the keys in his pocket, and the next person said that it was sold two days ago, and the person after that said that they do have it, but it is in the holding lot, but it would take them a day to bring it in. So that was disappointing, too, since the time was lost and I had to make arrangements to drive there on a weekday instead of a Sunday. But the most disappointing thing was that we spent two hours driving there just to find out that they would not sell it for the price listed on CarGurus! They came back with the first offer and it was $2000 more than the CarGuru price, and we said Wait a minute, this is the price we saw on CarGurus (and we called to confirm!) and this is the price we want to pay and the sales person said Ok, let me see if I can get it down to that. My jaw dropped. WHAT???!!! They need to work to get it down to the listed price??? I d never heard that before! The manager came out and said that they will not sell it for the price listed on CarGurus, so we were forced to walk out. Like I said, this experience was very disappointing and I would not recommend dealing with the dealer. And in general, I think they need to put some regulations in for car dealers, like they did for airline tickets you list the price and this is the price a customer pays, with everything included, not this BS with $1700+ fee for a fabric protector and an etched window!

Tried to make a deal on a new 16 Ram Laramie with a buddy. Negotiated numbers agreed on numbers. Moved to a different color and suddenly the numbers changed. They added 5k to the deal. The strong arm tactics of the floor manager is unwelcomed and unprofessional. Went to another dealer and made the perfect deal with no hassles or stress.

Poor service! Salesman Jorge was very good. Sales Manager was not. Dealership manager as well called us about the bad experience and said he would look into it and call back. He never even called back. How can he expect the standards to be high when he himself did not even return the call. I hope no one has to go through the same experience we did.

It typically, from other dealers, takes 2-3 weeks for license plates to arrive. since I have not received the plates after three weeks I called to check on them. I was told that it takes 8-10 weeks, and sometimes longer depending on the model . Both statements are total lies! The degrading laughter from the salesman was an insult.

Avoid this dealer for service at all costs! Truly an awful experience. Had to drop my car off overnight for repairs, but did not hear from the dealer in two business days until I had to call them. I was forced to call them multiple times to check on the status of my car, as they didn t call back in the time periods they promised. When they eventually diagnosed my car, they could not tell me the specific part that was faulty. The service rep had to go an ask the technician, as apparently they hadn t bothered to write it down or tell me. Essentially, I was forced to find time in the work day to call them multiple times about a simple problem and for complete information. I took my car to a local garage for repairs, as I would not trust this service center to take care of my car in an expedient manner or at a justifiable cost.

Additional Outrage: When I eventually had my car fixed, it turned out that their diagnosis was complete nonsense. My power steering lines were not faulty at all- they were trying to just get money out of me most likely. Essentially, I payed for a nonsense diagnosis and had to get the car re-diagnosed with the actual problems at a legitimate garage. Go to Seymour s Garage instead of these jokers.

Worst experience ever. We live in McAllen, and we made a deal over the phone. We asked them to be really honest, since we had to go to San Antonio to purchase the vehicle. They promised me they would give me a price, and reassured multiple times they would respect this price. I drove up exclusively to purchase the car, and when I got there the same person I had been negotiating before told me they weren t able to match the price they had told me before. They made me come all the way here for nothing. It was a 4 hour drive in the rain.The lack of honesty just demonstrates their lack of morale and work ethic. This shows how inconsiderate they could be, and that they don t truly care for customers.

In the past 3 years we have bought 2 cars from NorthStar Dodge, Chrysler, Ram, Fiat dealership. The reason we go back, is because they actually work with you and try to get you what you are looking for. They do not pressure you into a vehicle that you do not want, nor do they pressure you into a deal that will break the bank. I would recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking to buy a new or use vehicle.

This place is a dump.. Shawn the sales manager wouldn't even give me his card when I asked for it. I went there to see a jeep on their web page that marked down well. Bait and switch.. Jeep was in the locked shop for a seat repair, yeah right. Couldn't open the shop to even let me see the jeep. Told to come back tomm. Just left completely realizing what was happening. Now at ipac, which I recommend..

I went there because my keys where stuck under the sit. They were fast and honestly took the time to help me fix the issue. Mr Brian and Mr joe are totally knowledgeable and they did a great job. I will definitely recommend them as well as come back to this dealer and auto service place.

That truck I bought from them comes with recalls, so I take it back for service it's the worse they still anything on your truck I forgot my 3k ring and they stole, they never call you that you truck it's ready you have to be calling this place it's bad never buying anything from them, I do not recomend it at all

Customer service was about as bad as you can get. Needed a key made and programmed to my Jeep. Confirmed the day before arrival that they indeed had it available only to arrive and find out they didn t....an hour later. Needless to say, after 4 and a half hours, finally got my key. Service writer didn t even give it to me, had the tech that did the work hand it to me. Needless to say, I ll never patronize this business again and will be sure to tell everyone I know likewise.

I heard an ad on radio 97.3 that Lonestar Dodge would give 12 or 13 thousand off pickup trucks. Vall and ask for Leo. Rene answered and I asked if he could match a toyota pickup price of $24,800 out the door for a black or white Hemi express. He told me yes. I said I would visit the dealer about 530pm. He called me later in the day and said he would have a black express truck out front for me to see. I again asked hime about the price. He said he did not see a problem. I arrived at the dealer at 545pm. They showed me the truck and I showed them my price from Toyota. They took some info from me and said they would be right back. 10 minutes later 2 gentlemen returned and told me they could not sell me the truck for the $24,800 they promised over the phone. I will never visit Lonestar Dodge, never recommend NS Dodge and will tell this story to everyone that will listen. Just another group of lying car salesmen. Watch your back and wallet if you are foolish enough to visit that location.
