I love this place my daughter loves it is a safe place and have many activities.

I always enjoy going to this camp in the summer it is so fun

Stephanie McCloud..I also went to holiday house from the ages of 7-11. I'm now 55. Every year I would celebrate my birthday there. I loved the Sosa's especially Mr Sosa he was always so sweet. If I remember correctly, I recall there was a poppa Sosa there too. I think he took care of the kitchen/meals. Anyway it was the best 4 years of my life!

I love this place because it looks fun and I'm going there and I get to swim and meet new people if someone reads this the camp is call North Shore Holiday House.

Wonderful thrift shop donates profits for a girls summer camp. Great bargains in clothes, toys and household goods. All merchandise is in great shape and prices are excellent. Closed in the summer while the camp is in session.

I attended this camp from age 4 to 15 when I became a CIT it was absolutely the best time of my life the friendships made. I couldn't wait for summer to come so I could see my best friend Fee Fee. The Sosa's where AWESOME people so where there sons it's like we grew up together summer after summer. I hated leaving. Our councilors were super fun. I loved the bunks as I went from the big house then threw each bunk as I grew. Best time of my life....I'm 58 yrs old now. The songs the night out in the woods the treasure hunts pool fun fun fun.. Every year I pick a different church oh cantine night the store trip to spend my nickle or quarter can you tell I loved it....

One of my favorite thrift shops around. Great staff and good findings! but remember you need a car to get there!

I love this camp has different. Activities and is a good way to express yourself I went last year and Im going Tommorow which is June 27 2016

Did anyone remember papa sosoa and the kids John John and them?

There is a great article in Newsday June 29 2014 LI Life section. It is a nonprocfit camp for girls 7-11 from low income families on Long Island. This year is its 100th anniversary. For the girls who attend, it is free due to the generosity of many benefactors who give their time and money. I've lived in the area for more than 30 years and I never knew this place existed. Thanks to the volunteers and donors. Hope you keep it up for another 100 years.
