This is a really good facility with a lot of amenities for a really good price. So to start with, there's a good sized workout room. It's mostly cardio machines, but there's a decently well-equipped free weights area (wish it was bigger, but it has enough stuff). It's got a squat rack, power rack, bench press, incline and decline bench press, a smith machine, and a few machines and benches with a large selection of dumbbells, and the equipment is in good condition too. There's a pool (lap pool) which is very good, not overly chemically or anything like that. They also have racquetball and basketball courts. Outside, they have sand volleyball courts, and I think they have a kids area as well. And this is all for a good price as well, for me it's $30/month, which is a great deal in my mind.

Love the YMCA. My sons and myself go every other day for exercise. Its way cheaper than a gym because they go by your income to figure your monthly payment. Me as a single mom I pay like 25 bucks a month for my two kids and myself. A regular gym would be like 100 a piece. People who work there are very pleasant and helpful. We love it there. I highly recommend.

Poor customer service and beware of membership fees. They raise them without notice. Did this to me before and they apologized and I continued with them until this month I get another unannounced monthly fee rate hike. I call to cancel and they refuse. Was told I have to go down and sign and it will be decided by the account department. My credit card company is reversing charges and can t believe it. Basically my AMEX Card said they won t pay them. I will go down and sign there silly paper anyway. The YMCA better wake up as they lost a $80 Family Membership due to bad business practices. Advice: notify your members before you raise your rates! It s the right thing to do. Also when a member wants to cancel a membership, don t give them a run around.

Without fail the few times I have called there to ask when the pool is avaiable for "open swim" (there is swim practice sometimes so the pool can't be used during that time), the women who answer the phone are CLUELESS about the pool. It is as if I am asking some deep, dark question for which there is no answer. Wouldn't you think they would know something about a part of the YMCA that is used alot?

If you workout here, plan to just do that. Showers are constantly ice cold, and smell terrible. That said, the workout areas are nice. But for those of us driving in to use it because it's close to the office, not having a proper shower situation is a problem. Plan to use a different location if you need amenities like a warm shower.
