NJ DOL Camden County One-Stop Career Center Review

I am so Honored and Happy to be apart of this change ! This move were an great opportunity to serve the public here in Cherryhill,NJ. Not only is it spacious, the staff seems to be on board in a positive note. Which, is what we need daily seeking for an better day. Keep up the good work. Keep Drucella King she s an phenomenal worker as well.

This is where they moved the unemployment office to...

This is a big change from the old unemployment office in Camden. It is much bigger. Trying to find this place especially using Google maps is very difficult. The information is not accurate so you have to drive around the entire building until you actually get to the unemployment office even after the gps says you have arrived. s location is much better than the old location I can see that they are trying really hard to make improvements to their system. It seems there is no continuity when it comes to getting information from the people that work there. Some of the workers do not seem to be very knowledgeable. Many are very unprofessional and talk down to you. One of my biggest complaint is if someone is trying to attend school to put themselves in a position for a career that will sustain their family and have them not be on unemployment they should do everything to help but I feel like they're so many obstacles and hoops to jump through it can be frustrating and by the time you get through the process your unemployment will have run out

I have yet to see the new place because nobody was able to provide me with the new address & still; after I heard (through the grapevine) that the new place was up and running, I m still unable to get anyone on the phone (as I d prefer talking with someone before wasting my time and money on public transportation). I d just like to know if this is the place to go when you ve exhausted your UnEm benefits, need to see what options there are for assistance with daily life , or how to get a grant to go to college after the many years in a profession that my body can t physically keep up with!?
Unfortunately; although it always seems like they re understaffed, their offices aren t hiring. I think it d be nice to have a person answer the phone instead of being told by a robot that we re unable to take your call at this time due to a higher call volume than normal. Please call another time. -click- I think there s no worse way to start your day, than to be hung up on by a computer! Maybe I ll rewrite my review after I figure out how I m going to get there... If it s where I should be going?!
You d think they would have sent out a general email to anyone registered and receiving unemployment benefits, once the new location was open for use but, no... not NJ, they re too busy trying to get caught up with their own data entry that should be getting put into the system by an agent, per appointment. If there s a possible job opportunity for it..I d like to apply!! I m perfectly capable of doing this & doing it from my home (which would probably be a great way to save a little money for the state in the long run) perhaps everything wouldn t be: two years behind if only they d add the position. (Then post it to the job board , that is sadly never/rarely ever updated!) Geesch!
I like the new Governor but he s been too busy cleaning up the bigger messes GovnaF-A left & someone needs to bring attention to the stagnant state the Office Of Social Services has been stuck in for YEARS! Maybe now that I know where the new building is I can get the help I ve been requesting via email since July 2019! Thanks Google for finding the info I needed since I wasn t getting any from my home State!

Great services, and very helpful with getting you on a career path

This is an essential business. People need to have every method of contact available for help in assisting them during this epidemic. The phone lines are constantly overloaded with callers and hangs up with you. The option to hold is not an option nor is the option for them to take your number to call you back when they're free. The system is broken. Even a simple chat feature would be helpful.
