Nippers Beach Grille Reviews

Just left Nipper's as an unhappy and disappointed first time patron. I arrived at 10:50am and was the second table seated. Our food arrived at 11:30, right after the table seated 15 mins after us received there food. My friend's waffle was room temperature and resembled a frozen microwaveable waffle and the strawberries on the side were FROZEN. We returned his food before I even took a bite of mine. The hollandaise sauce on my crab cake benedict was dried and thickened. The crab cake was cooler than room temperature. I wasted my morning there. I honestly should have gone to metro diner where the food and service never fail.

The service is the worst every time we go. I had 20$ nippers bucks from the last terrible service so we tried to use them tonight. The first table we sat at the waiter watched me push the dirty dishes to the other side of the table while he picked up the check. Then came back 10 minutes later, took the dirty plates from our neighbors 6 top and put them ALL on our table, and walked inside without a thing in his hand. He never once acknowledged us. We moved tables, were immediately served a drink and given menues and properly ignored for 20 minutes while we waved to her and tried to order food. We finally just got up and left.

Atmosphere is about all you get. Food is mediocre and service is slow. Go to billys boat house instead.

Went there with my family of seven. Service was terrible. Food was not good. When the food was brought to our table my wife and mother were told that they were out of crab legs and they would have to order something else. They had to wait on their food even longer while the others were eating. The generic saltines that were served with my brothers oysters were all stale. When that was told, surprise surprise they brought him more stale crackers. The table smelled like dirty mop water and they actually had to clean it twice before we could actually tolerate it. In the bottom of the bowl of crackers was a key! Looked like a boat key. We will not be back!

I've gone on a couple dates and it can really set the ambiance. With the boats docked to your side and a live band playing to the other, the atmosphere is splendid to be around. I'm not really into seafood, but the other selections on the menu were delicious as well. The staff were also very polite and checked up on us every chance they could. I would definatly recommend it if your around the beach blvd area.

My husband and our kids went here one night because I heard the shrimp and grits were good. And they were- they were awesome... but that's it. They're "almost famous " mac and cheese with chicken was a bowl of grease. They brought my husband another dish, but it still was so incrediby greasy he couldn't even eat it. Ordered fried shrimp for my oldest son, and there was maybe 10 shrimp in his basket. Then the noodles we ordered my youngest son were in a bowl with about a cup of melted margarine. Spent over $100 and we were so disappointed. The staff were very polite, but the food was just horrible.

Horrible. The service has really gone to crap. I just sat at nippers and waited 50 minutes for my food, before deciding to get up and leave. As of late the service has been a joke, It doesn't take that long to prepare oysters and shrimp tacos.
