I would avoid purchasing anything when then direct as they are shocking to deal with. They take your money and only send a small part of your orders without letting you know and trying to deal with anything in customer service is like pulling teeth out. They didn't respond to emails and break their own terms and conditions . If you want a Nintendo purchase elsewhere like argos but certainly not Nintendo themselves
Terrible customer service. Blue joy con on Nintendo switch not holding charge and it is only a few months old. Would have thought a big company like Nintendo would send a joy con out especially in current lockdown circumstances. Try taking the console off a child, never going to happen. Will not be buying Nintendo products again
Placed a pre-order on the official UK store and it went through. Next received an email stating there was a (unspecified) delay in shipping my product. I logged into my account, seemed to be no errors and made an impulse buy of a few other products. On the day of the pre-order release I got an email saying there was a payment problem. Logged into my account, rectified the card details and everything went through without drama. However, I called customer service to ask 'why' there was a payment problem when my bank showed more than enough money to cover the order and they had no answer but assured me that the resubmission had gone through and the pre-order (unavailable EVERYWHERE else) had been allocated to me. Nothing more I could do, I could see that my bank had the amount pending. I hung up thanking them with no answer to the unspecified delay or the payment problem. Phoned the bank. The bank only had records or two Nintendo transactions; the impulse buy which I had a text from the courier with a delivery time and the 'resubmission' payment for the pre-order which the bank had already approved. Phoned Nintendo again to confirm that they now had the payment and that the game would be delivered and again assured allocation and that the order was being processed by a different team. Thanked them and hung up. These big companies have you over a barrel while the biggest, Amazon, jumps over backwards to help you if the mistake is theirs. I've had the whole cost of a game Amazon have promised but not been able to supply credited to my account compared to Nintendo who just say 'that's the way it is...'
Amazing as usual Bought the nintendo switch and it came really quick and as usual the console is amazing and the game libary is great as usual. Reasonable price aswell.
One of the worst companies ever dealt with. Have not delivered a product for 8 weeks and uninterested in helping or providing any information
I ordered a switch and it took almost three weeks to arrive
Shocking !! Avoid any purchases Not good service at all. Only shipped part of my order. Phone number cuts off, live chat is unavailable, been messaging for a refund but getting absolutely nowhere.
Dreadful company - claim not to have received items returned to them over two weeks ago despite tracking confirmation from their own courier that it has been received. Promise to get back to you, never do, impossible to call them (phones out of action), cannot escalate to a manager. If you deal wth them prepare yourself to waste hours of your life trying to get an outcome, before you end up having to escalate to your credit card company.
I like Nintendo as a company, but my experience of the UK repair/warranty service was unacceptable. I returned a faulty joy-con from my son's switch and, while they acknowledged the fault was covered under warranty, they refused to repair it unless I also paid approximately the price of a new controller to fix a cosmetic defect (two scratches on the side). Luckily I purchased through Amazon, so I can return to them for replacement instead, but I'm still waiting weeks later for Nintendo to return the controller to me...
