Built a house with Nielson about a year and a half ago. In my opinion if your building a starter home and not a forever home you might not be as disappointed as I am. Pretty much everything we did for upgrades and such was not rite. Our kitchen backsplash is so crooked I can barely stand to look at it. Our heated tile floor upgrades are not level in the master bath and some of the tiles have stains which could not be cleaned. They basically said that they could not remove, fix or replace because it could reck the floor heat. The driveway after two winters looks like it s ten years old from cracking and weathering already, that of witch they would not stand behind. Our vinyl plank flooring had many scratches in it from the beginning. Our windows still have overspray that was never removed. I feel like they basically tried to hand us a house they built as fast as they could (6 months) with no workmanship most of which is just done by a bunch of sub par subcontractors. Definitely would have went with another builder knowing what I know now.

The listing agent for this company is not professional at all. We had put offers in on new construction houses. One property that was available we tried to put in an offer for full asking price and got told no cause she was accepting a verbal offer instead of our official signed offer. Then we put a bid on another house that we liked. Asked about one of their house floor plans fitting on the lot with a three stall garage. She proceeds to call me instead of my agent. I told her that she needed to talk to my realtor about this. Then get the run around for the next couple days about the house. Finally on Friday afternoon she gets back to my realtor and tells her "they will not build for us"!!!!! are you kidding me. This is the worse company in the world to work for!!!!!!!

Everything went great. They always keep you informed and updated on the construction progress. Our home was completed and we were able to move in a week ahead of schedule. I would use Nielsen Construction again if we were to build another home.

What was the home that had all of our must haves on our list has turned into our biggest nightmare. We bought a new construction home from Nielsen and found out when we closed to transfer internet services there were no internet lines dug. This was never disclosed to us prior to purchasing this home. We have lived here 2 months and still are without service. Do not purchase from this builder.

Purchased a home through Nielson Construction, was an easy and professional experience through and through. Solid build quality, excellent customer service. 10/10 would recommend.

Changing my review to one star, (see pics) as little over 2 years passed and driveway started collapsing, some crimping upward about an inch and some are cracking downwards., Also noticed significant large diagonal cracks in some of the slab squares they cut in around. 2nd (and main reason why I changed it) possible fire hazard as they didn t use the right drywall around the fireplace, according to Fire Pros so some odd plastic started melting around it, tried getting hold of Brad as this was not a warranty issue, no response or ownership of any kind. I definitely wouldn t feel comfortable doing business with such company again. Not recommended!

I loved working with Nielson on our custom home. Prompt, timely, organized, very informative each step of the way. This was our second build and we will definitely be sticking with Nielson going forward!

I never imagined building a new home could go so smoothly. Nielson Construction exceeded my expectations from start to finish. They built an outstanding home for me and I couldn't be happier!

After I had closed my home spring of 2018, it took them months after due dates to finish remain items like top soil (they only did it because fund were held and last due date). When they did top soil, it wasn t enough and my backyard to this day has a hard dry patch about 10 x 15 feet area. They gave me a welcome mat with my incorrect name (middle with maiden name) - I reached out for a correction and secretary said they ll reorder and have not gotten it. I gave up trying to reach out with any issues and warranty issues because I felt I wasted my time and effort to get anything done.
