I just want to personally express my appreciation for not only your product, but your attention to every detail. A couple of days ago I got a follow up call from John just to ensure I was totally happy with my purchase. My initial apprehension was paying many $$$ for a product sight unseen off a web site. My contractor tried to talk me into a steel or fiberglass door that had the look of wood. Guess what? Those in the style I wanted were over $1000 more!!! He even stated that for custom homes, like mine, mahogany was the way to go but too expensive. He could not believe his eyes when he saw the crate arrive and looked at the door. He immediately asked for the web site to Nicks Building.

We bought a steel door from Nick's Building Supply and it was worth every last penny. Our door took a beating from burglars and they were not able to break it in - they damaged the door, but it still held up and stopped them from intruding. I highly recommend it to everyone! Run out and buy one, you'll be glad you did.
Wow the door has finally arrived and it just magnificent. The proportions are just right. It compliments the house and its tall clean lines. This is the door that should of always been at the entrance to our home.
Quality product and their customer support is top notch. This was the first time we chose them as a supplier and were very happy with the product. They're going to be very successful delivering the customer support that they do.

NO STAR REVIEW !! VERY DISAPPOINTED/BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE!! Back in November, we ordered doors from Nicks building supply and was told that our doors would be shipped in 4 weeks. After 4 weeks, we called and were told that the doors should be shipped by the first of January, and we were told that they had e-mailed us to let us know. We did not receive an e-mail at all, however, directly after the conversation, they sent an e-mail which at that time they were already beyond the time that the doors should have been shipped. Today, we received a call stating that they could not fill our order that it would be 12 weeks. WE CANCELLED OUR ORDER, THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO DO BUSINESS. Be aware of the major delay if you do business here and the unprofessional-ism from the staff as they did not even apologize or seem to care about their bad business practice.
Spend almost $4000.00 and had I terrible experience. Rude employees, bad communication, VERY late delivery ( almost 4 months) then not all pieces shipped. Had to move a 672# crate, had to stain the door on site within 72 hours or I would void the warranty. Will never use again.
The warehouse / shipping and receiving team are great to work with. Our company delivers to them regularly and have had nothing but a great experience.

We ordered a Mahogany entry door with sidelites. The door shipped from Indiana to Tampa FL. area with out a scratch. Nicks did a great job packing and crating. I could have bought from a local shop, but it was well worth the shipping. We are a building and remodeling company and buy very high end products everyday, we were concerned about the quality because of the distance, but now that the door is installed I can confidently recommend Nicks. That place is incredible and the staff is premium plus. I was overwhelmed by all the options because you can literally have them create whatever you can dream up....they carry the top end stuff that you can't find elsewhere. The door varieties will floor you! We're building so we needed all interior and exterior doors as well as baseboard and casings. They took the time to review all options and answer my many questions until we got the selections solidified. They even carried a high end German made 3 point lock for my front double entry door as well as allowed us to design the insulated glass panels.....the door arrives this week....can't wait to see it installed! Thanks to Nick, Lou, John and the rest of the team at Nick's!
Edited yet again once more - just got an email from JJ insulting me and asking for my clients information so they can start sending invoices and try to further maliciously damage my business!
Edited yet again- my client called to see if she could smooth things over. They insulted my client and then tried to lie to them about the price of the door, telling them I was trying to rip her off . My client ended up hanging up the phone on them. They also said, I do over $1million a month and this bad review won t be a big deal . This is the company you are dealing with. These are the people that they have employed. Managers and owners acting like this. Again- DO NOT DO business with them.
Edited again- just spoke with john T- he said the owners want to cancel it. He then lied to me about what he told me. I told him I d lose the contract with my customer. He then told me to just leave that in my review and good . Can you believe these scum bags?

I was originally told by john T that I would be receiving a stain sample from the top foot we cut off of the door to bring it down to finished size .
Just received my samples two days ago and they were 2 x2.5 samples. Customer that I have was expecting the sample to be of a size that was what I was told. I responded to JJ asking if we could get a larger sample. She said no . I then responded asking why not so I could tel my client. Just got a response back from john T telling me- it s impossible to make you happy- we are canceling your order
This is exactly one month after the order. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! Worst customer service I ve ever experienced!
Terrible communication, rude management/employees, unprofessional! Look at my previous reviews of other businesses. Some bad, mostly good. Nothing to this extent! Worst company I ve ever tried to do business with!

John and Liz helped me throughout the process so far and have been very helpful so far. Very nice, professional, and patient.
After ordering a front entry door, JJ aka jasna jokic, the staining and production manager contacted me to inquire about stain color choice. There was basically a small bump in the road with timing through the order (that was truly at no fault except my own). I expressed how I just wished I had been notified earlier about this due to the time constraints I had on my contract with my customer. Every time I tried to let some of these words out, JJ would interrupt me, very rudely reminding me to go back and read my terms and conditions. I get where she was coming from, but she kept interrupting me. She wouldn t listen and then started arguing with me about how she wasn t interrupting at all and how she s done nothing but listen patiently.
Maybe she was having a bad day. Maybe she was never raised with any manners. Maybe this is her first job. I could be wrong about all of those things. Either way, she started to really get out of line and got extremely rude with me after that. I won t go into how escalated things became, but it was bad.
John the sales manager then got on the phone and apologized for her behavior and assured me of what was going on. I have 6 more front entry doors I need to order for a community that all has front door issues and in need of replacement. I loved the process with nicks building supply up until now and wish I could give them the rest of my business, but feel out of principle that I can t do business with them anymore after this extremely unpleasant experience. Maybe john can change my mind.
I will be receiving stain samples soon and the door shortly after that. I will revise my review once I complete my experience with this company after that.
Straightforward. Arrived on time, one order ahead of time & on spec. We purchased doors here for two cabins we built. The service and quality was excellent.
This company is a joke. Bought an expensive door. Took quite a bit longer than estimated to get it. Had to patch a blemish in the wood on the inside of my door. On top of all of this they have an offer that if you send in pictures of your door after install you get a $100 amazon giftcard. After sending in pictures I was told I HAVE TO write a review to now get this giftcard. I left a review(5 stars) just trying to get my $100 gift card I was promised and here is what they told me: "We want to use your photos, but a 3 word review? I can buy those for $1, but I don t want to."
I would look elsewhere. Not the type of people I like to work with.
I purchased 3 garage doors, 4 sets of double exterior French doors, and one interior door. All doors exposed to the elements needed to be refinished after 2 years due to the clear coat cracking and peeling.
I've been buying from this place for over 5 years. They have an excellent selection of doors and accessories with fair pricing. Excellent customer service and very knowledgeable!!
Worst experience. Door purchased in August. They were 6 weeks late on their delivery. I had to reach out to them repeatedly. By the time they called to deliver, snow was on the ground and we couldn t install the door. We had to patch the areas we cut out inside our house for the door, which went in storage in their warehouse... for months. Then, with little warning we had to take delivery due to the virus, and we even had to take the 400 pound door off the truck ourselves. Zero customer service all the way around. They took our money quick but were in no hurry to deliver.
The most beautiful door ever just installed! The folks at Nick s are A1 top-notch! I recommend this company to anyone wanting the classiest door in their neighborhood.
