New Zones is the best art gallery in Calgary. They have an amazing collection of contemporary art that showcases the finest Canadian artists. Their art openings every few months are a great way to see new collections, mingle with the artists and have a glass of wine with the wonderful staff.

Some interesting contemporary art, but expect to be talked down to. I disliked the experience so much I will never step foot in the gallery again.

Their mandate is to introduce and promote Canadian artists beyond Calgary and Canada on the international art circuit with museum-quality curated exhibitions and though their inclusion and involvement in international art fairs. Newzones commitment to the visual arts over the past 25 years expanded significantly as they work with collectors, collections and art enthusiasts across the globe.

Newzones is proud of the success of their artists, who helped change the image of The Wild West into a west that s as elegant, cosmopolitan, and vibrant as anywhere in the world. A place, where contemporary artists live and work to produce world-class art.

On the international level, Newzones actively attends art fairs abroad to promote their artist s work in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, and London. Presence at these fairs has created international followings for several of Newzones Canadian artists. Newzones is showcasing Canadian artists in exhibitions to educate, stimulate and inspire people into bring more Canadian art into their lives and homes. Their artists are collected by the National Gallery of Canada, Art Gallery of Ontario, Canada Council Art Bank, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, Glenbow Museum, Mendel Art Gallery, the Alberta Foundation for the Arts to name of few.

The team at Newzones, is very informed and helpful! The design firm I work for, has purchased a number of pieces form them ,and proudly display them in lor office. Too we have had the pleasure of referring them to a number of clients who are looking for that special piece to finish a room! Always a pleasure!

Fantastic contemporary art gallery in Calgary. They represent high calibre artists and a really exciting exhibition schedule. I love attending the openings! Friendly staff always happy to talk about the art or artists. Really nice building too, so much natural light.
