We purchased Newmark Home in 1996. The baseboards throughout the house are pressed wood(chips or particle board) and cabinetry and medicine cabinets in all bathrooms is pressed wood (partial board). The garage is all pressed wood!
You cannot not tell by looking at them because the paint covers them. Cheap cheap for a very expensive house. We had to replace all!!!
Don't buy from Newmark Homes!!!!
Merri at Cross Creek Ranch has been so wonderful. We have appreciated all her help thus far. This is the first time building for us, and the process has been great so far. We couldn't believe all the options you have to choose from at the design center! It is everything I could have asked for, and more! You really have an opportunity to bring your "dream home" vision to life with Newmark. We just had our pre-construction meeting with John and he was very professional and knowledgeable. We are looking forward to moving into our Montague Floor Plan!
I can t express enough how much I m a fan of Newmark Homes.. I recently built a home by them and it s everything I had imagined. I will always recommend Newmark Homes to anyone looking to build a new home. The whole process beginning to end is well thought out and most of all very efficient. Newmark is on top of their game and I m glad I chose them to have a place I call home.

Newmark Homes is definitely top notch. We built our home in a subdivision that we had never seen prior to starting this process. We moved to the Houston area from Virginia but Joe and Rhonda kept us in the loop weekly via phone and made us feel like we were physically there during the entire process. I received top notch customer service and complete honesty. I highly recommend Newmark homes! They go out of their way to ensure that the customers are completely satisfied.
As a first time homeowner, I would not recommend Newmark to anyone. Experience was horrible. The sales rep only cares about the commission and the hired builders have no attention to detail. Their only concern is to finish fast and it seems like they cut corners. For example, if I didn't constantly check the property, handles were not placed straight, cabinets had cracks and severe scratches. I had to constantly contact the builder to correct gross misplacement of fixtures. Furthermore, after closing, I found I giant hole inside one of the cabinets, which they failed to make me aware of. Their mentality is out of sight, out of mind. Instead of replacing it, they patched it up very poorly. Everytime I contact the rep, everything seemed to be my fault, they never seem to take accountability for anything. My house was also not complete at the time of closing. I was pressured by the sales representative to close since this person said I would be responsible to pay 200 dollars per day past the desginated closing date. The rep called me the day before telling me that we can close but we will fix it after closing and I made it very clear that I will only close contingent on that everything will be fixed. They said of course of it will. On the day of closing, pre closing walkthrough, I pointed out some flaws, which the contractor wrote down and said they will replace after closing and I did not sign off on one item. To this date, it still hasn't been fixed even though they said they will replace it. I am fed up of chasing them.
