Newfoundland & Labrador Housing - Engineering Department Review

I have had nothing but a great experience with housing. All the housing officers I have had have been polite and helpful to me. I got very sick in 2016 and the officer I had at that time was just fabulous and I will sing her praises forever and a day. I had a brain tumour and only for her I probably would be on the street. She was great. I thank the heavens every day that I am in housing as I would never afford to live elsewhere. Very grateful.

Very friendly people. Nice place to visit. Don t forget the fish and ships.

My mother lived at 8 Gilbert Street.
Never realized the state of the place years ago till the coroner took her body out of place after she took her life.
Mouse ridden, patio door half off( during winter) due to no maintenance!!!
My family were extremely upset!!

Slow moving personal...very polite customer service and tries repeatedly to make sure that your questions got answered

Hours of operation are ridiculous. No one there seems to know how to use a phone or return a call

Rude people. Zero professionalism. Front desk and phone lines are regularly offensive and combative.

I've been trying for quite sometime to get a transfer with NLhousing but keep getting rejected because according to them where I'm living "my unit meets national occupancy standards". Now,how would they know this? And if this is the case, why would there be a flood and a fire in my building just 5 MONTHS within eachother? Doesn't sound safe to me. But,they have no probIem with accusing me of scamming them, when all I wanted was help. I battle with mental illness and now am traumatized by the fire alarm and I am afraid for the safety of myself and my 2 cats. I think it's ABSOLUTELY HEARTLESS that NL hosing would keep me in this situation.
