Super happy with my apartment and the building in general. It is slightly pricier than other apartments I looked at, but I have a large dog which isn't welcome at most places because of his size, AND I think the level of upkeep/maintenance is much higher than other options around town. Maintenance Guru Larry is amazing and goes out of his way to provide a good experience. I always feel comfortable asking him questions or following up on work orders. Plus he's really nice to my dog, so extra bonus points for that.
The Newbern is a good building to live in. Good location and the apartments themselves are well kept. I would give 5 stars except that the elevator breaks down frequently and the laundry room is not clean. However, requests for maintenance are super fast and the staffed package delivery room is a nice perk.
Steven is an excellent representative for Mac. Steven does everything to get you into the apartment you want and works quickly to ensure you get it! A pleasure to tour and work with, Steven is a fantastic example of customer care and resident service.
