New York-New Jersey Trail Conference Review

Went for an art show by a local artist. Maiden voyage here. No reason to return as it was lackluster. Unless they have something extraordinary event planned. Maps and hiking books for sale. Clean.

These people do a fantastic job maintaining and building trails in the New York and New Jersey area.

Beautiful, refurbished building. Friendly, informative staff.

I visited here for a tour of the historic Darlington Schoolhouse and it is very impressive. The staff was very helpful and the facility is up to date and modern. You can find easily accessible information about the NYNJTC right when you walk in.

Located perfectly between the reservation just west with McMillian Creek's waterfall and the reservoir lake up top, the Ramapo River and the quick Lake Henry loop just east. With immediate access to abundant trails at any hiking skill level, elevation if desired and panoramic views of the river valley or NYC on the southern horizon.

Renovated building is nice, great workshops offered and friendly staff. Hiking and outdoor activities available directly adjacent to the Trail Conference in the Ramapo Reservation

Great place in beautiful setting. Staff were really freindly and helpful. They had great resources and souvenirs on sale.

Not only is there a ton of history here but right from the headquarters there are several beautiful hikes.

Very satisfied with how they redid this place. Perfect Stop to grab some trail guides and to begin your hike. There is a little store when you walk through the main doors so you can grab last minute things. Additionally, the bathrooms are quite clean!

A very nice, clean, and modern building with plenty of beautiful historic touches. Overall, a pleasant place.

This is a great non-profit organization -- building and maintaining trails for those of us who love to be outdoors in the woods getting out and moving.

Everything this organization stands for is important and commendable. The renovated schoolhouse makes for a perfect headquarters. My experience in the store was unpleasant.

From spring to fall (usually April to October) Its open from Monday to Saturday. You can buy maps, gear and even a bottle of water if you're going to hike next door at the reservation. You can even get a tour of the old schoolhouse.

Staff is always welcoming and helpful.

HQ for the NY-NJ Trail Conference involved in maintaining, protecting, and building new hiking trails in the region. Good source for maps and other trail information. There is a short trail that starts from this location. You can volunteer to be a trail maintainer and for other support roles.
