Everyone needs an appointment no matter what. Your dad could be dying, this whole agency does not show any empathy. My dad is dying in the Dominican Republic and I have a week calling them to get my 7 month old daughter a new passport because I'm still nursing and so he can meet his grand-daughter. They told me they need a flight purchased 3 days prior to traveling and a letter from the doctor stating his condition translated. When I get all documents on the Monday because is my day off they tell me that the appointment has to be for the day of my travel. However I can't go with my husband because he works and I had to pay to expedite the translation because they couldn't create the appointment unless I told them I had it translated.
My advice to anyone that needs an emergency passport is to buy the flight on the day they can make it to the appointment and then change it after you get the passport.

Wow, just wow. I can't say enough about how amazing the passport office was to work with on an expedited request when I had a last minute trip out of the country. They were professional and got me the passport in 1 day. I am sure it helped that I had my expired one but still it was amazing to see a government office operate so efficiently and actually serve the people. Person in front of me was getting theirs the same day. Incredible.

Best experience in any federal building!! These guys really know what their doing, super organized and efficient got Passport in 2 hrs and every one was so kind and professional !!!

TERRIBLE. They failed to send my passport so its been over 2 months since i applied for expedite and still NOTHING. I have been calling the passport agency EVERY SINLE DAY for over a WEEK and all they say is WE DON'T KNOW because we haven't heard back from the Boston agency. TERRIBLE SERVICE. ALSO HOW DO YOU GET AN APPOINTMENT HERE whenever I check online to make an appointment it's never available. Don't even want to give one star because it's that terrible.

I have an appointment today December 17th 2020, but because of the harsh weather I understand the office is closed. But, I have not been reached out to to reschedule my appointment and I have a flight on Saturday. I tried calling but I can t reach anyone and the automated system prompts me to call tomorrow. What can I do?

I went today on 3/18/2021 I got my passport in 90 mins... they tell you that you need a flight and letter from a dr.. I typed up a bs letter signed it an gave them a bs flight confirmation number there's a way around everything people put those MacBooks to use! any body cancdo it they didn't look at my letter for more than 2 seconds if u need a passport call stretch the truth and youll be all set other than that sit around & wait months to get a passport LOL by the way its 205$

Not only it is well organized and the processes run smoothly and fast; most importantly the people that work there seem happy, smile, are nice, understanding.. AND they really want to help you get your papers/documents fast. I can t believe going to a gov agency was an actual pleasant experience.

I have been waiting more than two hour to talk to someone and they never pick up the phone. I got a letter from the mail saying that they are missing my birth certificate when I clearly sent it with my passport application. It seems like they lost it. I honestly hate dealing with people who don t know how to do their jobs.

I needed a passport reissued since the one we applied for got lost in the mail and we were traveling the same day. We got there a little before 8 am and had the passport in hand at 10. When you have urgent travel you don t need an appointment. So they line up the people that don t have an appointment and see them one by one. Everyone is super nice and professional!!

Absolutely one of the best experiences I've ever had in a federal building. The staff was super helpful and kind. They expedited the process for me because they knew I had a long day of driving ahead of me. The whole process was done in a couple hours, not sure if that is typical. Just make an appointment online, show up early, and make sure you have all the documents they need. Not to mention the atrium in the front is beautiful.
