The videos on youtube do not do this place justice
Your children may get horseback rides with the CEOs grandchildren. Meanwhile, what good has that done for the residents? You run through staff, like water through a sieve. Completely expendable to you. The obvious is pointed out to you and what you give back, is past the point of dismissive and well into the territory of gas lighting. When an employee goes missing, you shut down the pay site/ (allegedly) Credible. But, you don't mount a search. You don't call authorities. Don't contact the missing employee's emergency contact. And, when called out on that sorry excuse for an approach, you get angry and send that employee home without pay. You take (2) rounds of bed bugs and by accounts of (non administrative) staff, you leave confusion in your wake. You offer undercooked meat to the MTM residents. And, those residents, when asked, accepted that. THAT is what you foster in them. You don't encourage self-esteem/advocacy. You encourage status quo. It's good because you provide the basics.
The pros are the under-staff. The drivers, mentors, drivers, PCAs. People that kick ass despite what management throws at them. The Chef at Quakertown House.
I am content in knowing the benefit why I never became a resident here. 10-years-ago, I very well should have. But, I too, would have been content with status quo. Sitting down to undercooked sausage. Saying to a mentor, "it is what it is".
I'd think, you would all think, your residents/employees are due better than that.
Truly the best that this area has to offer. Questionable funding practices in the past/present. A nearby arts center. All the chaos in between. Advertised with nice/shiny videos on youtube.
