After seeing that this pub has been fully refurbished we decided to give it a try for lunch. The website, new exterior and lavish interior gives the impression that it's a gastropub serving high quality food. Sadly, the food we were served was far from it. The skin on fries with all of our meals were cold. I ordered a 'roast pork' sandwich which I thought would come steaming hot was also cold with a thick circle of cold set stuffing wedged inside. The other two sandwiches we ordered also weren't as you'd expect. We were only flying in for a quick lunch and the food took a long time to come (probably hence the cold fries) not good when you're on your lunch break with limited time. There were no satisfaction checks and nothing said to us as we left. On the plus side the purity gold ale is very nice but the other two drinks we wanted Appletise and J20 weren't stocked, only a copy brand that wasn't nice. With such a fantastic refurbishment as this is it's such a shame they haven't got the food and service right to go with it. It's a beautiful looking pub now but you can never judge a book by it's cover, all that glitters isn't gold.

Unfortunately, the staff need more training. The manager? Was very awkward with customers, and for a pricey place, odd that he was wearing jeans. Food was ok, no pepper mill to be found. Busy Sunday lunch times need to be more professionally organised. I hope this new venture suceeds, but more attention to detail......dead hanging daskets sending out the wrong message.

We came with two friends for lunch they both have strict diet requirements and nothing was too much trouble the meal was absoutley perfect we all had the butternut squash curry it was very tasty, good sized portions and for me the big thing is how hot it is served and it hit that one as well the food was lovely and hot. The atmosphere was relaxed the staff were friendly and very helpful. It is beautifully decorated and it was very very clean. We will definitely go back thank you

Excellent food.

Excellent food.
However the vegetarian and vegan options are not listed on the menu .
Merely letters alongside the normal options so very difficult to decided and staff are not 100% briefed as to what they were.
Simple extras like naan or mango chutney etc for curries were available .
Prices are marked as 7 or 4.5 ! What's that about ?
Decor for me is a bit too chintzy and the sugar pink ladies loo decor was startling to say the least.
Tone the decor down and redo the menus so the staff and customers can decifer it easily and you'll be on the ball.

My family (20 people) went for Xmas lunch on Xmas day. To the overall experience was average would be over stating. all course were very small, some of the starters had the wrong sauces on them. The vegi meal were a lazy version of vegi food. It is not a place I would recommended for large family meals.

I used to drink here many years ago. I has been renovated beyond recognition.

There is a good selection of food options and a very good drinks menu.

All the staff were very friendly and attentive, especially Grace. We will return.

This is an unusual space, a vast Edwardian village hall (donated to Tardebigge by the 1st Earl of Plymouth), tastefully converted to an airy pub.

Food was good, but the servers actually make you feel as if nothing would be too much trouble.

I'd come back, and even bring people with me!

Nice welcome but unfortunately the meal was of a poor standard, just warm and really expensive. If you like good portions then this is not the place for you, you are likely to leave hungry or broke or both. Nice looking menu but really disappointing. Not a place that will draw you back for a second visit for sure.

This was my first visit since it was renovated and the place has been given a new lease of life, it is fantastic. The dining area is classy whilst being light and airy and the bar /lounge is incredibly comfy. Couple the new decor with the very friendly staff and the Tardebigge makes for a great dining experience. I fully recommend this place to anyone and I shall be going back

Compared to before we found the Tardebigge a lot nicer in terms of look and presentation. Unrecognizable from before and easy to access most of the tables in a wheelchair. Disabled toilets are adequate and staff are friendly. Only complaint for myself was the dessert menu was quite limited.

Good car parking, nice clean dining area. Staff were friendly and attentive. First course of Sunday lunch arrived quickly and freshly cooked. Second course the main plates were beef and lamb which was nicely cooked and fresh but the side dishes of leak greens and broccoli cheese where over cooked and seemed to have been prepared quite some time before. The selection of wine was small but seemed good quality. Would recommend.

Hadn't been here for a couple of years and so was very surprised at how it looks now. It's really chic and elegant now. There's a large bar in the centre with dining in one half and a bar in the other half. We had a meal and it was rather good, though a bit pricey. My wife had the sea bass and I had the beef burger. One quibble, if the burger is advertised as having 'slaw then give us more than 1 fork full see picture. Deserts were good, we had the gin and elder flower cheese cake. I found the gin a little overpowering and couldn't taste the elder flower. Also it was served on a piece of slate, alright if you like that sort of thing, though I do think there's a lot to be said for plates. My wife liked it though. Enormous range of spirits and liquors. We will be back, though probably only for special occasions as we live quite a long way away.

Food was OK, not as spectacular as I'd been told, but alright. Service was poor. Lots of staff but no organisation. 35 minutes late seating us to a booked table, 15 mins to get a drink, 30 mins for starters. 45 mins to order dessert, so we didn't bother, we paid up and left.

Staff were (mostly) friendly and helpful when they were with you, just a lack of organisation really badly let the place down.

It's been decorated out nicely, quite smart, bright and airy, high ceilings. Good bar selection, some Pilsners, lagers, ales, ciders on tap, plus can and bottles in the fridge, small but OK wine selection, some good spirits.

Might go back for drinks but a little nervous about dining to be fair, especially as it was a Sunday and the majority of people were having roasts so there wasn't a huge variety of dishes being prepared, from what I saw.

In the interests of balance, I brought the waiting issue to their attention and we reached an agreement with the bill.

First time in there since the new owners and refurbishment. Pleasantly surprised. Excellent quality food and reasonable prices. Will definitely be back sooner rather than later. 4 stars rather than 5 as we were in the corner and the background music was far too loud for easy conversation, especially for my 91 year old mother whose hearing is not the best.

I have only been here once and it was a Sunday so I can't talk for the normal menu. There was 5 of us and the starter was a mixed bag mostly good but I had the soup of the day was tasteless. We all enjoyed our mains, however I did have a roast potato that you could see was black before I even opened it! The sweets were on the whole good but again the lemon tart was a bit tasteless. The food took far to long to get to the table.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and the venue itself has been done very nicely indeed

Had a pleasant evening here.

Had a pleasant evening here.
Private function room was warm , cosy and away from main Restaurant .
Ideal size for our purpose .
Only let down when orders were placed 10 mins later we were told they had ran out of some of the dishes.
Deserts were not quite what we expected , overpriced , poorly presented , looked like they had ran out and tried to make 1 desert stretch to 2

Grand reconverted hall, tastefully decorated, very good service, very good menu, reasonable prices.
A short walk from the Worcester-Birmingham canal -- a good recompense after coming up the 30 locks or a way to get energy before tackling them if going down!

I'm going to be very honest and say whilst the food wasn't bad, the service was shocking. We waited a very long time to be seated, even though we booked a table for 3pm.

We then waited a long time for someone to take our order. The wait between starter and main was 30+ mins. After the main course we waited 45 for someone to even stop as they walked past our table so I could ask for the bill. We gave up waiting to order dessert, I don't have enough life span left to wait for it!

When the bill arrived, we had been overcharged however once this was pointed out to them, a correction was made very swiftly.

On the whole, the food was ok, but not fantastic, the place itself has been very nicely done out and the staff when you could find them were very polite.

Will I go back? No, probably not.

Unfortunately starter of pigeon was virtually unedible, main course of sea bass was ok but small and pudding chocolate orange tort delicious but absolutely miniscule.
Decor is great and service fine but very disappointing food.
Hope it improves food quality and portion size.

I had arranged to meet my friends for a catch up.we decided to have bite to eat and ordered the equivalent of six tapas to share between four of us .we waited 55 minutes before we were served. The food was cold and overcooked and basically of poor quality. All four of us said we would not be returning .
