We came here for a spa day for my sisters birthday. The weather was perfect for relaxing in the outdoor hot tub, treatments were superb and the staff were lovely. Lunch was healthy but decent size portions, perfect day!

We had the attic room. Just enough room for a double bed. 3 strides and I was across the room. There was no wardrobe. Had to hang things on the wall. Bumped our heads on low slope ceilings. Climbed up steep stairs to reach this room called Christopher. I was breathless. Faults in the bathroom. Afternoon tea was not the best. Overdone scones that banged on the table like rock. and milk curdled the tea which they changed. Scrambled egg at Breakfast was wet and sloppy. I asked to change it for a dry scrambled with no liquid...it came out the same! The only good thing it was clean. And the spa. And the accommodating for children. Wont be going back I'm afraid.

We went to New Park Manor for a family lunch to celebrate a birthday and were really impressed with the family friendly yet smart and special atmosphere at the hotel. The food was great and we were able to use the pool afterwards which was wonderful.

Went on a Travelzoo spa deal with afternoon tea. WOW. From the moment we arrived, the staff were so great, nothing was too much trouble. The pool and rooms were busy which meant the changing room was a little tight and with only 1 ladies toilet (2 others available outside the spa area) it felt a little overused! The treatments (facial & leg/foot massage) were great and I wasn't upsold any products. Afternoon tea beat us but the staff were happy to put the extra in a box for us to enjoy later. Would def recommend for a v v relaxing day

The website claims that 'there are special areas in the spa where adults can unwind in complete tranquility'. This simply isn't true. The spa's pool is open to children, and the sauna, steam room etc. are all connected to the pool area, so when children are making a lot of noise in the pool there really is nowhere peaceful.

Given this, the spa is more like a leisure centre and is therefore fairly overpriced.

Our third stay here, we love it. We had a few issues with our room but Luke the reception manager went above and beyond to make it up to us, he moved us to a lovely new room and we really enjoyed our stay. It s so baby and child friendly which makes it so much more relaxing for tired parents! We will be back.

I had the most wonderful weekend of my life so far. The hotel is beautiful and the people who work there are the loveliest! I spent the whole day in the spa (which was included) on checkout day. Food was incredible and the chefs changed dishes to accommodate to our vegan diets. Honestly a perfect hotel, which is increduble value for money. Thank you so much!

Unfortunately the bed was so old the springs kept my friend and i awake all night, the spa was adequate, and suitable for families but for a relaxing spa weekend..... Not again.
Due to the old condition of the floorboards in the accomodation the noise of trampling Elephant's (little children) feet rang through untill 11pm .

All in all, an overtly expensive spa, that compromises on the little details that should not be overlooked.
The staff were on the most attentive, but no gluten free options, not more that two vegetarian options, and when I booked with secret Escapes Even the room I had booked was not available.
I shall not waste my money again.

Great place for a family weekend ! Well kept (more modern / newer than few other hotels from the franchise). Nice pool & saunas, rooms spacious and convenient, common areas very inviting to chill with a cup of tea. Food - ok but not the strongest area. Will come back for sure!

My girlfriend and I spent a night at New Park Manor this Friday, though we made a significant error by booking for the wrong night. We were lucky enough to be helped by Jade, who is an incredible asset to the hotel and fixed everything for us. The stay itself was fantastic - the room was perfectly spacious and unbelievably comfortable. The spa was another highlight of the stay. Not busy at all (on a Saturday!) so we left feeling pampered. We both have dietary restrictions so the woman who served us told us not to worry about the menu and just tell her what we wanted and the chefs would make it for us! Exceptional hotel with exceptional staff. Thank you again for Jade and the staff. 10/10.

This hotel sells itself as family friendly, and includes an unusual amount of children's play facilities. The staff are also very helpful and welcoming to children. Breakfast is good, and dinner is decent and not too expensive. Location and amenities in the local area are excellent. The room, however, is really poor. Shabby decor, gloomy lighting, and a big rotten patch of plaster above the shower. This is a Forest Room, which is intended to be big enough for a cot (some of the doubles aren't) but in reality it's fairly standard hotel double size, and is north of 300 a night. The bed is also shocking - soft and squidgy, and the pillows provide no support. I'm afraid a decent Premier Inn is better in that respect. So overall a mixed bag, tending to overpriced.

A lovely setting for such a grand hotel, very old fashioned quirky rooms with modern twists. The most friendly staff I have ever met. The hotel has cinmea room, spa with indoor and outdoor pool, steam rooms, jacuzzi and hot tub. There are dvds to borrow, board games and other activities hidden around every nook and cranny. Fantastic night's sleep and looking forward to staying again soon!

We booked afternoon tea as their website specifically advertised children's afternoon teas in a child friendly environment. I booked for 4 adults and 2 children. On arrival we were told that they didn't do children's afternoon teas, then told that they did but we had to pre book. I explained that we did book, but they denied all knowledge. We then asked what they could do for children and were told that they could only do the full adults tea. This spoiled a special Christmas treat for our family.

Lovely break. Friendl staff.Very clean rooms.
Member of staff stands out that was a gentleman named Jack, nothing was to much trouble also very professional at his position.
The only criticism was the breakfast (cooked) was very poor that deffinatly needs attention.
Also it's great you can have your meals with your dog,but my partner is 6ft tall and bending over a coffee table is very uncomfortable. Appreciate its hard to please everyone but it would be nice to just put at least two tables in the lounge to rectify this .

Amazing place to stay for young families. They have everything thought of to accommodate both parents and kids. Food at the restaurant was surprisingly good, on par with any good restaurants you find outside. Staff is friendly and attentive, one of our most relaxing trips as a young family yet.

This was a surprise trip for my daughters birthday and as she had been ill for a long time, when we arrived my daughter became unwell and didn t want the treatments I had booked, I went to the spa to tell them and met the spa manager I explained and she could not of been nicer, there should of been a cancellation payment but she did not charge us, my daughter got better and we spent many hours in the spa and spoke many times to the spa manager who I have to say is absolutely fantastic and made my daughter feel very welcome and able to go on later to have 2 spa treatments, many thanks
As two Vegetarians we sometimes struggle to get good choice and at our meal my meal was not as I expected and I sent it back, I was so please when I was offered a lovely replacement and was also spoken to by the hotel manager in the morning giving me a refund and also making sure the chef offered me more at my meal that night, all staff very attentive and very kind we felt so at home and love the place so much, sitting in the hot tub last night looking at the new forest and ponies, Suberb !
Only two points I want to raise, last night sitting in the hot tub our view onto the new forest was blocked by a huge wicker chair, can that not be moved to the other side?
And the kettle in the room has to be boiled on the carpet as the lead is to short to place on side table/tray
Apart from those two we would highly recommend this place and we will defiantly be back.

Despite being local to the New Forest this was my first visit to New Park. Upon entering the lobby we were greeting by a dog. I like dogs, so not a problem, but it would have been nice for a person to have been there.

Finding the lounge was easy - finding someone to serve us not so much. Our order was very simple - a cup of tea and a lemonade. Meanwhile two other people in the lounge also ordered drinks (and food).

Fast forward around 20 minutes - still no drinks - but the others there had received their food order. A few minutes later our drinks arrived - a pot of tea and a pot of coffee. This was not going well. To save hassle my friend said he'd drink the coffee....

Upon paying our bill we were given the receipt - first line of which was "biscuits". Where the bloody hell were our biscuits (I politely asked), while jokingly asking if the new (and quite good waiter) had gone to beat the original (not very good at all waiter) with a stick... He hadn't.

We got our biscuits, shortbread - rather nice they were, and ate them as we walked back to the car. Oh the tea, was actually rather good. I don't think I'll be rushing back.

Stayed here for a weekend and held our wedding reception here on the Saturday night. Had a fabulous time, the staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, the food was excellent. The hotel, grounds and spa are beautifully maintained and being so child and dog friendly, (we had both in tow) it really made all the difference. Fantastic place.

Great place for kids (lots to do) and the afternoon tea they had looked great.. as did the adult afternoon tea but other than that it was a big disappointment.

I ordered a burger as I don't really like afternoon teas and it arrived on a big chopping board. The burger was a sloppy mess and all the mayonnaise, grease from the burger and water from the lettuce (which had been washed but not dried) all began to flood the board and make the bun really soggy. This resulted in this horrible mixture of fluids dripping off the chopping board and onto my lap. The chips were soggy/cold and the onion rings were really greasy like they had been dropped into cold fat.. and didn't seem to actually contain any onion. I sent it back but pretty much received the same again (except the chips were hotter which was a bonus). I had a few mouthfuls but started to feel a bit sick due to the greasy fluids so left it.

Service was also quite poor. Our tables were full of old plates and dishes.. when we ordered more tea the waitress just squeezed them on the table without taking anything away. After 30 minutes of staring at the remains of all the left over food I cleared the tables myself as there was literally no table space left at all.

Went for a meal with family members. The food was enjoyable in the main, but I think it's quite overpriced. Quite a few details were frustrating. Butter was served with the soup, but no bread was provided to put it on. The knives we were given weren't sharp enough to cut the roast beef easily. The service wasn't too bad to begin with, but it took a long time for our mains to be delivered and then we were ignored for quite a while and getting the bill and paying took an age. Please don't just ignore your customers towards the end of their meal!

Tried very hard but didn't quite reach the standards the price tag warrants. The Spa was very good and the surrounding countryside was picturesque but the manor itself lacked character. Food was fairly ordinary and for a hotel that specifically markets itself as baby friendly it was surprising to have to walk to the other end of the hotel to prepare the baby's feeds (because there was no fridge or microwave in or near the rooms). The creche however was excellent and the staff were friendly.

It needs to decide if it is a Family Hotel or a Spa. Trying to be both does not work.

As a Family Hotel it is a good place for a short break and geared towards families with kid freindly dinning and an adults only restaurant option. It is over priced for what it is and the service seems haphazared at best - chaotic at worst. There are places to play outside on the lawn and it is easy to go for walks in the woods nearby.

The Spa area does not work as a relaxing spa - becuase it is also trying to be a family hotel! It is not particularly relaxing as is and I think it would be better if they made it more kid friendly rather than have sometihng that reasults in spa goers and families not being best served. Nevertheless if on a family trip the hot tubs, saunas etc are a nice option to have.

We visit spa days all the time, but this experience is beyond 5 stars. I would easily say that up until now every other spa day we've been on have been extremely posh, but this one was easily royal. We felt extremely catered for, the facilities were beyond our expectations, the staff were all outstanding & apart from the changing rooms / pool area being a little bit warm, we wouldn't change a thing. The food was plentiful and delicious too. This has been the first spa day we've actually not got out after 2 hours and also the first that we want to visit again. Thank you to all.

New Park Manor is set in an Idyllic location in the new forest. We spent the day here on a spa day with afternoon tea.
The outdoor pool was the perfect temperature, tho it was quite hectic and noisy with young children screaming and shouting. This was a very hot bank holiday so I guess to be expected.
The grounds are lovely with views out toward the forest. We were visited by a very large herd of deer which was wonderful.
The spa itself was very pleasant although the inside pool needs a really good clean.
Unfortunately there were young children in the spa pool which made it very noisy and they were jumping in without consideration for those swimming.
The afternoon tea was superb. Really good selection of fresh sandwiches. The scones were still warm and really nicely presented.
Would recommend this as a great summer spa.
For those wanting to stay it is very doggy friendly with amazing local walks.

Lovely hotel, Great facilities, delicious food, attentive staff. our room was at the top and was a little tight in places with the sloping roof, but was perfectly fine for our needs. Kids are very well catered for but as a result there were a lot of families and breakfast was a bit less relaxed than I had expected, though on the plus side dinner was split into family and adult only dining.

Hotel itself is nice and peaceful with a really relaxing spa. However the service is a bit odd, food was overpriced. We had a lamb shoulder which was really badly cooked and cost 30 pounds for that one dish. The rooms are not sound proofed, you can hear everything above you as if living in the same room but invisible. The toilet was really hard to flush... on the day we are leaving, we were called 5 mins after 10 saying breakfast was finished. Well, partially our fault but it s in the middle of nowhere to get breakfast and we paid for them. Not a thrilling experience

This could be a really nice place for a spa day. However, it needs to decide if it wants to be a family friendly swimming pool or a relaxing spa for adults. It is trying to cater to both groups and it just doesn't work. On the day we went it felt more like a public swimming pool than a place to relax. There were families with children using the pool the whole time. The other big problem is that there are only TWO beds and a few chairs to sit on. This is a great place for local families to have a swim and a sauna but not set up for spa days. Our treatments were pretty good but overall, a big disappointment.

I have stayed here twice, once a year ago as a couple and I'll be honest, it was ok but not amazing. However, we liked the look of the children's facilities so when we were looking for a mini break with our 5 month old we decided to stay here again... this time around it was amazing. Our room had beeen thought out well and had all the facilities we could need for us and our baby, including a fridge for milk I had requested when booking. I had prebooked our baby into the creche both days and found it to be professional and friendly, I had no qualms leaving our baby there while my husband and I enjoyed some couple time in the spa. We used the free baby listening service to enjoy a meal together once our baby was asleep and in the morning the staff happily provided us with some fresh banana puree to keep our little one entertained while we ate. To top it all off, when we got home I realised I had left an umbrella behind, not valuable but of sentimental value. One phone call and they posted it to my home address for me. I have recommended this hotel and chain to all our friends with small children!
