Lovely family spa hotel. Some areas need a bit of refreshing but generally good. The small comfort room is SMALL and don't go in a heatwave as there is no aircon in any part of the manor. Lovely service and the outdoor heated pool is great on a warm day. Restaurant serves up lovely food too!

We spent a night at this family friendly hotel with our baby. The hotel itself is a beautiful building in a very picturesque location. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel have thought of pretty much everything when it comes to catering for little ones, from the inclusive childcare to the bottle service and changing mats / nappy bins in rooms. The adults only evening dining was very good but was a bit disappointed with the food at lunchtime - expensive, slow and food itself not great. The video monitors are a great idea but we found it prone to disconnecting - needs improvement for customers to feel confident using the service. Overall really great stay though and would come back / recommend for a relaxing break with children.

Unfortunately one of our party was taken ill whilst enjoying a Spa Day. The staff were incredibly efficient, kind and caring. Steve rendered heart massage which no doubt saved my brother in laws life ( Air Ambulance Doctors words) Terri was our 'carer' and Walter co-ordinated his staff ensuring we had everything we needed. I cannot praise the staff at the New Park enough.... they were wonderful. Our stay was cut short but we do hope to return soon

Family focused hotel in the New Forest. Really enjoyed my stay. Didn t bring children but was directed to have meals in adult only dining area which I can see how others would appreciate. Would have loved a massage or treatment but found prices on the expensive side. Surprised the spa area (pool, hot tub etc) closes an hour earlier on the weekend.

Really enjoyed the day, only used the spa area so I didn't use the hotel facilities.
Spa was really nice, the massage I had, very satisifying, very nice and friendly staff to.
Pool not massive but not too bad given it was quiet.
Great views overlooking fields filled with horses and deer.
Afternoon tea was great and generous. Definately recommend!

Spent the afternoon at the spa. 3 stars as the treatment was excellent but the rest of the spa experience was slightly disappointing. I feel that it should be made a bit more clear that the spa is is open to all at the hotel. It wasn t very peaceful with children jumping into the pool, splashing and being noisy (which is understandable- just wish it was made more clear!). Perfect if you have a family but would give it a miss if you re looking for a chilled afternoon and some peace and quiet. The head, neck and shoulder massage and cream tea were both fantastic though.

Our family recently stayed at New Park Manor for a long weekend and our tenth anniversary. I cannot speak highly enough of our experience - a truly memorable time! The staff are truly remarkable and the hotel is a haven, even with an an army of children in tow. Thank you and we will be back!

Very disappointed and dissatisfied. Booked a spar morning and wasn't told at time of booking that the sauna, steam room and solarium facilities were closed due to covid. The pool is small and was full of screaming kids, the hydropools are small too enough for 2 to 4 people, and you get an allotted time for the hot tub. Although when I complained they let me use the hot tub when it wasn't in use.... Which was great otherwise I would of either left right away or spent my time sat in a pool doing nothing. They also offered a free guest pass for another day, which i probably won't use. The lunch wasn't really a main course and more like a starter. Was offered coffee when I turned up whilst completing the forms only to be charged for it later. Staff were pleasent enough but the spar didn't really feel like a spar and didn't give the same experience as others I have visited. I would not recommend it but a the same time wasn't the worst experience in have had. Better value for money elsewhere.

They kind of have it right... and kind of not.

They kind of have it right... and kind of not.

The good stuff first: The afternoon tea was yummy. Basic, but yummy. The treatment I had (express facial) was really, really good and my mother gave equal praise for her experience. The decor and setting are well kept and intriguing (in a good way) and, finally, they tried hard with the customer service.

The not-so-great bits: There we some small attention to detail items that really let the experience down: No napkins brought with the afternoon tea; I asked for (and was promised) a box to take home one of the treats that I couldn't manage but it never arrived and I had to go ask someone else; the most significant thing, however, was that the spa was absolutely PACKED making it the very opposite of relaxing. This included a gaggle of teenagers who sat in the outside jacuzzi for literally hours meaning that, despite keeping an eye on it, we never got a chance to give it a go. The spa facilities are quite small and the foot therapy bath things didn't work at all.

The conclusion: Sadly these bits let it down sufficiently that I wouldn't head back apart from possibly for just a treatment. Who knows, on another day you may fare better...

I booked a twilight package for our anniversary and Valentines day as a surprise. When we got there, we were shown into the lounge area which was good but when they served the high tea we were supposed to get a glass of procesco. So as it didnt come, I went to ask the girls in the spa area which they didnt seem to know what packages were avalible they apologised and said they would phone upstaires and let them know. Overall, we had to ask three times. When we sat down, the scones were hard and the sandwiches were hard. To top it off, we still had to ask for our glass of procesco and they had the resident dog which was eating all the crumbs under our table. This to me is not very hygenic and should not be allowed. When my fiance asked for some more cream and jam, the waiter brought us the cream which was overflowing and was presented very sloppy.

The spa was a disappointment except the hot tub outside. We were not given any slippers, although we were promised. The steam room was too hot for usage and the sauna just turned cold and could not be adjusted..seems staff wanted to go home early last night. There were empty plastic cups, kids being very loud...This is what you not expect from a spa known for being peaceful!

Don't get me wrong, we have young children ourselfs but at a spa it is supposed to be a romantic break away from the kids but there were young children in the pool and kids everywhere. I will not be booking this again, was very let down and for the price I should of asked for our money back.

Went for a cream tea. Scones were very overdone and so were very hard with hardly any edible scone inside. The rest of the food was lovely . The hotel is amazing with a herd of deer just a few yards from the building .

Lovely hotel but management should pay more attention to cleanliness. I sat in the drawing room next to the big window which had bird droppings curtain on the window was old with some stains. I went to the ladies room then. Toilet was old and needed to be replaced. Old wall paper was cheap and had staines on it. Wash basin vanity unit was also old and some tiles around the basin had mould around the grouting. Staff were polite. They should replace old outdated toilets, curtains and pay more attention to cleanliness. Its disappointing at present. Apart from it hotel building is lovely over looking park land with animals roaming around. its a pity hotel management is not paying enough attention to this hotel.

Very relaxing surroundings and treatments were wonderful, staff friendly and professional. Was just a shame that some guests felt they could secure a recliner for the entire day merely by leaving a towel on it!!

The team of staff here make this place what it is. Everyone from maintenance staff who helped me downstairs with my bag to the waiters at breakfast say good morning . Very welcoming, friendly and helpful, made for a very relaxing stay. Dinner was delicious, had the vegan Thai curry. Room was beautifully finished with gorgeous views across the new forest. Spa pool is lovely and warm and the jacuzzi was actually hot. This is a family friendly hotel , do expect a bit of noise. However kids have their own dining and play rooms. Would stay again but would book a bigger bed, my single wasn't condusive to a good night's rest. All in all a very salubrious place

Fantastic family friendly hotel. Great facilities for children and adults alike. The free video monitor you can view at the dinner table is a big plus. Only downside was our room was very small for a twin/double room (the room was called Marjorie) with a cot; the size of the room meant it realistically would be more suitable for a couple and no children.

We stayed a Sunday night here and had a lovely time - and the swimming pool, spa area was beautiful, our toddler loved testing out the water with the old arm bands. The food was nice, and we had a relaxing family stay. The only slight improvement was the staff could be a little more on it & happy to be there - mean't as a slight bit of constructive feedback - but all in all would recommend :)

We stayed here a few days ago as a couple and a 2 year old kid. The staff were FANTASTIC, and the hotel has got the kid friendly proposition down to a T. Also impressed by their focus on wines. There were some blemishes here and there, but overall the patience and caring of the staff made us forget everything else.

This was our second visit to this lovely hotel between Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst in the middle of the New Forest, and once again we weren't disappointed. Although there is a spa (which we didn't use this time) for the grown-ups, it is very much aimed at families. Our nearly three year old absolutely loved the Den with its carers and huge selection of toys, games and activities. The food is of a good standard, with the pancakes and honey going down a treat at breakfast time. The family theme is continued in the grounds with plenty of activities and play-park equipment for kids and loads of room to run around.
It's little touches though that made it special, like a bookshelf in the room with plenty of children's books (including my childhood favourite, Cops and Robbers by Janet and Allen Ahlberg, which I took great pleasure in introducing my daughter to) and the wellington boots and brollies available to borrow in the front porch.
Overall, the hotel strikes a good balance of feeling like a "posh" hotel, but with a very friendly, professional and attentive staff and without inflicting toddler guilt on us poor parents!

Fantastic hotel, friendly staff, free dining for the younger kids with a top notch restaurant. It's going to hit the wallet, but worthwhile for a treat away from big smoke. Surrounded by dear and horses, next door to a polo club. Yes, well to do people are the way things are. If you can mingle with them, you'll be ok. Not for everyone.

Superb family hotel!

Superb family hotel!
This hotel is set up for families with everything thought of to ensure a stress free stay with children - in particularly baby s and toddlers are made so welcome.

The staff are so welcoming with the children it s lovely, to be honest - if your not travelling children I would look elsewhere as this is a real family, homely hotel and we will be returning and are already recommending to our friends.

Attended a birthday party at New Park for about 15 people. The food was nice but very over priced and the service was quite poor. The staff struggled to split the bill which took over an hour to process. In fairness some of our party arrived late, but clearly, the emphasis is on families. They appeared to enjoy themselves, but we won't be heading back in a hurry.

These guys are really on top of their game. Had a lovely relaxing time. Great facilities, lovely food. All staff very friendly and helpful.

There are two dining rooms - one seems to be adults only, the other for families so everyone gets catered for.

Would recommend to anyone (we don't have kids), but particularly to families or groups of friends with children.

Not cheap, but we feel like we got good value from our stay.

I used this hotel for my sons first birthday party. The hotel was absolutely amazing. The staff were attentive and accommodated all the children with games and activities. The grounds were superb and the food was presented beautifully. I am extremely grateful to New Park Manor and especially to Rachel who worked hard to make sure everything went to plan and listened to all my requests. She was a superstar and a real gem to the place.

The hotel is nicely located in a large piece of land that includes a nice large fenced garden ideal for the kids. Rooms are OK, but on the small side, specially if you are expecting to have one child with you. Facilties for the kids are great : snug area with dvds and board games you can borrow. These is a cinema room with additional games and some daily activities are organised for kids as well during holiday periods. Food is OK but expensive, breakfast is great.

Just arrived home after what can only be described...

Just arrived home after what can only be described as the worst spa breaks I ve ever had. It really boggles the mind how it s possible to return home from a spa break more stressed than before.

It all went wrong as soon as we arrived at the entrance greeted by a hoard of screaming children and a quite clearly very stressed receptionist. Not exactly what we expected.

We then went through to the spa where we had the pleasure of dealing with someone who clearly hated her job and couldn t wait to get rid of us. No offer of drinks (other than some self-service stale water) and handed a pretty shoddy looking treatments brochure that looked as though it was dug out of the bin.

After a pretty average massage which started late (no apology) and finished rather abruptly, we then had lunch, which would have been pretty good if it were a country pub but this is a wellness spa. Burgers, chips, fried things and chocolate in enormous quantities aren t exactly what s required for a relaxing detox.

New Park Manor spa is more of a kids leisure centre than anything else. Don t get me wrong, I have no issues with children whatsoever but the spa was completely overrun with screaming children jumping into the pool, throwing things and just causing absolute carnage. The parents certainly weren t helping and this place seems to attract some pretty questionable clientele.

We weren t able to use any of the facilities because of it and the reactions of some of the other guests prove that we weren t the only ones to be bothered by this.

I tried to complain to the reception staff only to find both the spa and main receptions completely abandoned.

Even if all of these problems were addressed, it still wouldn t measure up to any of the other spas in The New Forest. The facilities are below average, the styling is non-existent and the whole place seemed to feel very run down.

Avoid.

The childcare was second to none. But the service was very patchy. We were left waiting for a wine for an hour because they had no corkscrews?! A good dose of decent management training in better autonomous thinking by the waiting and hospitality staff is what this otherwise lovely hotel needs to keep pace with the rest of this fabulous chain.

Also - sort out the kids toys! Total mess - this is what you pride yourselves on. Get more women s wellies in sizes women actually are (most common avg. size is 6, you have no boots in this size!)
