This place is huge. The food stalls are OK-ish. Nothing more to add...
We went during the Essence festival so there was a lot to see and the give aways were great.
Everything is such a long walk but very nice place.
Always come for the Essence experience and each year it does get better! Special shout out to the following large company teams: Coca-cola, Walmart, Ford, AT&T, Disney, State Farm, Shea Moisture, African Prideand so many, many more . The facility staff are friendly and helpful. Thznk you NOLA (aka my second family)
Lots of rooms for various events. Lots of restrooms. The cocktails were spot on.
Horrible parking garage across the street put a boot on my truck without a warning sign in the area be careful where you park
Came in for the Collision Conference which was great. Food was just ok, not nearly as good as what you get everywhere else around NO LA. The staff were friendly in the venue, and transportation was easy to get to and from the conference.
The New Orleans Convention Center is a very important nessessity to our City! Attended a socially distanced seminar today that was about shaping the future together and making our convention center even better then what it is! New Orleans has an amazing convention center, and I can't wait to be apart of the new renovations that are currently being done!
COULD USE A STARBUCKS - but otherwise pretty good. Easy to get to with Uber.
Driver Double charged us to go from Canal St. To the Convention center took a driffrent cab Co. On the way there pd $15 to pd $30 to get back I am a local guy an will report this.
The good is really expensive. But it's really nice in this place.
This place is HUGE! Looking forward to going back again next year. #CollisionConf
Each opinion on this place will also depend on who organized the event, but despite that, being objective, It's an amazing place well located and big to do anything inside. Its not a 5 stars as I did not like that some of the restrooms were closed
Nothing to see here keep it moving...lol They moved mens bathroom completely to the back from last year..now that could have been a problem. By the way bathrooms so far away women were being escorted in mens bathroom by there dates cause line at womens was so long...WOW!
Good place for a convention, but remember it rains around from time to time so take umbrella if you don't want to be soaking wet while walking from your hotel!
Very poorly lay out in signage... No sign on Auditorium !! very difficult to find ballroom ABC etc as they are named differently as New Orleans Ballroom... A very long walk from Hall A to Hall J.....!!!
Attended the 2018 Tableau conference here. This place is huge and felt like it was close to a mile in length
Went for a basketball game. Not enough sitting. Not vendors available either. I paid 45dls to watch my niece from Houston play 2 games....while standing up. I believe renting some high school gym would have been better as far as seating.
Very large building must know which Hall the event is be held in and pack near the entrance.
Nice, clean convention facility.... but the food options available inside the building are bogus. When running a sales booth at a convention, one doesn't have much time for grabbing a meal and might want to go for the Quick and Close option.
Well, don't. Just don't.
I can't recommend a place outside of the convention center within a stone's throw, either. My advice to anyone visiting or working the events here is to bring your own snack, save your money to eat at one of the many famous restaurants around the city.
Whatever you do, don't waste your money on the inedible bread with 6 soggy, cold fried shrimp that is their Po Boy...
Jurassic quest event was fantastic... Small Dinosaurs balloons costed 15$ each but still was an interesting event.
Unsafe crossings at high speed exit. Pedestrians killed. Fix it.
Too large and needs TLC in some areas, especially the bathrooms
I had a get time it was during Mardi Gras so the experience was EPIC
America's academic hall is everywhere extra wide.
I need to go through a bit behind, but it was convenient because there is a French Quarter and a tram station that runs to the market nearby.
I was at the convention center for a large conference. The staff was very friendly! The convention center is outdated in certain areas. It's HUGE though!!! Come wearing comfortable shoes! There are multiple levels with escalator access, but from end to end, the convention center is about 1/2 a mile in length. There's a food court and Starbucks in the middle portion of the convention center.
I think it is literally one mile long. Lots of walking. No food places open when I was there. One Starbucks in the middle of the center. Looks tired.
The bathrooms are big and plentiful, but the one time I went to drop a poo I couldn't find any toilets that were clean. Also, the food is expensive but you pay for convenience. There was a Starbucks in the atrium area which had a constantly HUGE line of ~30 people. I praise the employees working there.
First time at Essence Fest 2019 and we had an absolute blast!! The convention center is huge so it's a good idea to have the app with the map of whatever event you happen to attend here but it was simply amazing!
Place is huge. Can take you 20 mins to walk to the other side of the building. The AC does not work that great. Some rooms are 76F and other rooms 62f I was here everyday for a week for a work conference.
Prepare for some walking, because this place is huge! We were in Hall H for Collision Conference 2016 and it was a nice venue. There were tons of concessions set up with pretty decent food. I heard good things about the food court too but we never made it to that end of the center. Prices were high, but no more than you would expect of any convention/event center. Everything was well-tended and neat. Staff were constantly coming around cleaning up so you hardly noticed any mess.
Went to the Halloween Expo, it was easy to get to and from the convention center. Bathrooms were clean, facility had plenty of space and the staff were helpful.
This place is a great venue for a large show or gathering. I enjoyed the True Value show!
Prepare to do some walking. Overall a good spot for Mardi Gras parties and conferences.
Huge convention center. Interior signaling fails. If you are not an American, the air conditioning at 18 degrees Celsius in November can be really inconvenient
In my opinion, the best convention center in the country.
Attended the Zulu Ball March 1, 2019 and also in 2020. Huge facility, accommodated thousands comfortably. This convention center is used for an array of events, it's simply an amazing facility.
Room was very clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast buffet had some very tasty sausage.
Large convention center that has easy access parking and room for multiple events at once. Our graduation event seemed to be handled great and went off without any issues.
The fact that it was 100 degrees and there were no water stations and water was $5 a bottle was ridiculous.
Helen Brett international jewelry show is eveything
Excellent food court with authentic New Orleans food sold. Venders have a variety of merchandise sold!
