Interesting place. Got a great view of downtown Chicago from this place.
David was a great preson made my night so fun so many people should ask for your sever
The food was good service wasn t bad but I wouldn t bother getting the 50 dollar pitcher of margarita. It was watered down. My wife and I should have walked back to the hotel buzzed.
The scenery the music the food watching the fireworks looking at the water was beautiful.
In my opinion Chicago s Navy Pier is the most significant location of a variety, a very large number of things to do in one Chicago location. There is easy parking and everything is under one very long continuous roof. You can walk miles and eat, drink and be entertained along the length of Navy Pier as it extends from the Chicago shore line, out toward Lake Michigan.
For Chicagoans, Navy Pier is for tourists. So why not be a tourist in your own town. Recent visits have included dinner on a boat tour as well as Shakespeare theater. Catch the fireworks in the summer.
The place never gets old and never fades off, the energy in the place is great with people from all over the world and Navy Pier is a must on every tourists destination. I can't count how many times I have been here and still visit every time I am in Chicago.
Variety was great. Very expensive though but typical Chicago cost. We liked the free trolley to Michigan Ave.
Definitely doesn't live up to the hype. Inside seemed to be kinda dirty and a bunch of unattended teenagers roaming around goofing off. Outside was nice we got some really good pics with the city behind us at night.
Oh BTW one scoop of Ben and Jerry's is not worth 5.50
April 2019 - we visited during the first week of April. Travel from magnificent mile to pier by rideshare was inexpensive and convenient to drop off zone. The majority of attractions were closed due to the cold weather. In addition there was a good portion of the far end of the pier undergoing renovation and fenced off. Even though much of the pier was closed or under remodel we still had a nice stroll out to the end of the pier and back. We did ride the Ferris wheel at a cost of $18 per adult and $15 per child.
Beautiful place to visit... Always something to do and see... I have loved this place since i first went to visit...
It's beautiful and definitely a tourist attraction. My boyfriend and I went down there we walked around but to be honest it's not a whole lot to do. I think they should add more stores. However we did eat it Bubba Gump Shrimp. And that was really good. It might have more going on when it's warmer outside so we'll go back once summer is here again
Great casual area and atmosphere where you feel safe and comfortable. Views are amazing at sunup or sunset. People watching can be entertaining as well. Shopping, dining, quick bites and drinks are abundant and frequent. This is the kickoff point for many water tours, sunset cruises, shore excursions, and skyline cruises. Beware, a lot of construction is ongoing here including a hotel facility being built.
So much to see! Great view of the lake and fun when the weather is good.
Loved this place! It is such a laid-back atmosphere, there is a bunch of different bars and restaurants, a beer garden, an observation deck with a nice view of the city and the lake. Some restaurants have outside bars where you can buy a drink and walk on the pier. Inside the pier are stands and stores selling crafts and some souvenirs.
Can't wait to see the place after the remodeling process is completed
The views from up above the ferris wheels are so worth it! You stay inside for 3 rounds of the wheel. The ride lasts 15 minutes ish. The line to get inside was about 15 minutes ish as well, on a Saturday afternoon. Nice shops and restaurants nearby
Very beautiful area. Alot of different shops inside.
Have been to many like this before in different cities. It was a good area but unfortunately closed on the day( or maybe time) on my visit.
I try to come here as often as possible. There's always something exiting going on and there's never a dull moment. Plus, the views are great.
Lots of fun with the family. Go on Tuesday - more stuff is discounted.
Great place to spend the day. The kids really enjoyed the kids museum, 6 hours to get through the whole thing. Lots of thing to do see and eat. I didn't think we would find parking, but it wasn't an issue.
For the past 3 years we have been coming to Winter Wonderland Fest and it has never let us down. It's so beautiful and my 2 and 5yo boys always have a blast. So much to do, so beautifully decorated and regulated well. Parking fees are a bit outrageous. And that is the main reason I give it 4 Stars instead of 5.
This is busy with tourists but it s nice. Also the views from this place are beautiful.
Pricey but great to hangout with the family. Awesome Winter Wonderland for the little ones during Christmas season.
It's a good place, many stores and the museum it's so nice
Very nice place, I had a good time!
I recommended.
Great place for the kids to have a good time. The rides are great for the family and I definitely recommend taking a boat ride. We did the seadogg 75 minute boat ride and it was the highlight of the day. Our crew was great and our guide curtin was very knowledgeable and funny.
So much fun with my family! Can't wait to come back after the construction is complete
Wonderful place to visit. So many shops to choose from, places to eat and things to see there.
Loved the architecture boat tour. Learned so much about this great city!
Awesome views from the ferris wheel and lots of activities for the littles.
Navy pier is a good place to visit but 5th 3rd bank winter fest is the worst carnival I have ever been to. Just feels like you are in a rural town and you have to pay 30 dollars to just get in. Pretty much everything inside has additional charges. Face painting $30 dollars etc. if your kid wants to do everything, you probably end up spending good 200 bucks. What a rip off.
Beautiful place. Little too busy at times and not a lot to do on the water front without getting in a boat. Family friendly and worth a trip for sure, the big wheel gives an amazing view!
Great place to go if looking to walk around the only thing that was bad was the price of the garage parking. If you accidentally go in and get a ticket you have to pay the minimum amount.
Fun place to the family. So many new restaurants. The seating area still needs more chairs.
Definitely do the ferris wheel. Good place to get a good view of the city regardless of weather.
Love it reminds me of places on the beach . great views. Not expensive either. Just all around good.
Fun place with many things going on and nice food choices.
Great tourist attraction all kind of lenders and places to buy me things
Great place to bring the family for fun and entertainment
Navy pier is one of the places that you have to visit on Chicago and you'll love it.
Had a great time visiting Navy Pier in November. It wasn't even winter yet but it was really chilly for sure and it was perfect I think. Did a lot of walking exploring this place. The best experience here for me was I took the iconic Ferris wheel ride. It was kind of an expensive ride for me ($18/person) but it was a really nice experience, I had a chance to be at the top of the ferris wheel for 3 times and I could really see the landscape of Chicago. It's located near some other tourist attractions in Chicago including Millennium Park (where Cloud Gate or the bean is) and Maggie Daley Park and they are really reachable by walking via Chicago Riverwalk which I think is really pretty in the Fall.
Could have sat on the end of pier all day. Beautiful view.
Cool place. Enjoyed hanging out here with the family. The greenhouse was cool too. Lunch cruise was the best too.
Cool spot in Chicago. Walking distance to millenium park. Decent amount of food and bar options. Ride the ferris wheel.
It's really fun has fire works for me It is fun for you I don't know
Great restaurants, beautiful view of the lake and the staff was so helpful when trying to navigate Navy Pier...
One of the must visit in Chicago. This is very beautiful place located on the shore of Lake Michigan and next to Chicago downtown. This is the place where you have so many options to do... go for speed boating, architectural tour, rides for kids and adults, lot of food options and shopping. There is Chicago children museum is also located in navy pier. If you are visiting Chicago I would say you round spend whole day here. The night view of the Chicago downtown will be amazing from this place. Must visit
Pricey, way too much construction to be enjoyable. Parking is obscene and we were overcharged!
Great place to hang out with family!! There is so much to do all day long, food, attractions, music and more. The only downside is that It can get very packed, and it is hard for them to keep the bathrooms well maintained and clean.
Soulless tourist trap, redeemed by location. Great for kids and families, probably better in summer, but for a couple in winter ... Meh
This was a fun and convenient place to walk from our hotel. Plenty of shops and restaurants. We especially loved the ferris wheel and the garden!
Great for a Date, pricey family friendly venue with fireworks display
Because it's winter I only did the centennial Wheel Ride...It was amazing. The ride give you 3 spins.
My favorite place in Chicago. There's a planetarium that smells clean and refreshing. Margaritaville restaurant stays full of clients. The t-shirt shops are really nice and economical. There are fun filled rides in the summer that make you feel like a child again. Transportation is convenient, you can't get lost.
As someone that's lived in the city my whole life, I seem to end up at Navy Pier at least twice a year and I never seem to have a bad time. It's definitely a better experience if you go with some money in your pocket since it's essentially a mall disguised as a landmark, but there's also a ferries wheel and the cool terrarium thing as well as fireworks weekly throughout the summer.
Great place to go on a nice weekend evening. Enjoy great free music at Miller Lite Stage
I went to Navy Pier on July 15th 2019 for my birthday and it was the best experiebce ever. It was my first time going there but I want to make it a yearly trip. Was very well maintained and very nice boat rides.
Well, I'm sure it's a lot better than my 3 stars! I would've loved to have been able to park and walk around, but I think there was an event of some sort going on, it was extremely crowded so we didn't get to get down. Just drive through it . Maybe next time!
Great arboretum. To get out of the weather as well as Ferris wheel
Wonderful place to visit if visiting Chicago! A must see!!! Variety of shopping/food and entertainment options!!
The place has upgraded alot more places to eat and have fun. It looks really good and the view was good for the fireworks.
The best tourist attraction for your out of town guests. Aside from the food and cruises, inside you will find Chicago history, events, and the children museum and many other fun activities. It's great for families, date nights or just to spend a day sightseeing...a definite must throughout the year!
Very nice place beautiful views just sucks that the ries are closed
Spent the day here shopping, eating and site- seeing. So much to do. Beautiful green space indoors. Definitely returning to enjoy a dinner cruise on lake michigan.
There wasn't really much to do there, a few shops, but nothing exciting. It was also like booked for a private event so even places that looked cool, like the garden, we couldn't go around.
Great place to go to grab some good food and drinks have a good walk indoors and stay warm when it s cold outside!
I find myself playing tourist in my own city on a regular basis, and Navy Pier is in regular rotation. There's always high, family oriented energy here between the yacht booze cruises, the ferris wheel, the Shakespeare Theater, and twice a week fireworks. Parking here is a steep $30, but it lasts all day. During the warmer months, you can actually park on the street two blocks away and walk.
Something for everyone! Great variety of food. Love to visit there!
With the new coming additions this place will be even better!
Nice place to eat your way through the whole place. It also has lunch and dinner cruises.
I really enjoy your love Navy Pier it's wonderful and amazing it was only a small inconvenience I am a handicap and the spot that I was needed to be park at the moment it wasn't available it was a very big cement bar covering the handicap parking do a lot of construction put a new hotel they're building besides done the fireworks where are amazing thank you
Had great fun at the pier. What a view of the ferris wheel that night. Take a ride on it. We had a blast.
Beautiful views of the lake and sky line. I definitely recommend the speedboat lake tour. Also, the ferris wheel is amazing and not scary.
So much to see. The boats are great. The pier is a wonderful spot for a small wedding. This is extreme summer fun! Great walking!
Lot of variety. Wonderful view. Multiple choices for restaurants , but a lot of tourist stuff. Bring your jacket. Can be quiet windy. Are options for inexpensive meals
