Decent laid back place to get a good work. Great facility for the price.

I'm thankful for Carla, and her dedication to making us be the best we can be. :)
I always felt like most of the staff -usually the younger ones - judged me and I was a waste of their time. They are not customer friendly. I stopped going because I felt bad walking in the door.
I have tried to cancel my membership since december of 2017 and yet STILL I get the monthly payment despite the dozens of talks and calls I have had with the employees. Goodluck if you are trying to get out of your membership as it would most likely be easier to leave the mob then cancel your payments.
You know that friend you have that tells you what you need to hear even when it s hard to hear it? The one that gives you that kick in the pants which motivates you to pick yourself up and do what you already knew you had to do? Beth Bowen is exactly that kind of personal trainer. You can t help but love and admire her because every time she trains you she ll give you her best and will expect the very same from you. She ll push you to exceed your own expectations and THAT is exactly the kind of person you want in your corner if you want to reach your tour fitness goals.
Not a great place to go if you're not already in shape, also if you don't have a membership beware there's a hidden $42 fee per year that they "tell you about" upfront but it was a surprise to me. I got hung up on for suggesting it's wasn't explained up front.
I go to Family Fitness every time I m in town. It s a rock solid with great staff and ownership. There is plenty of equipment and space; more than adequate to get a great workout in. Great job guys!
My work out schedule is always different because of my job and yesterday I went in early in the morning and i LOVED the morning guy Josh! He was so nice and the other people there really seem to enjoy talking with him. I am only giving it 3 stars because of Josh! I will probably try going at this time everyday. I usually went closer to early evening and the manager Chris is always so rude to other customers and even some of the employees but I guess when your cousin is the owner you can treat people however you want. I am super disappointed in the amount of negative feedback he has got with no action.
The professionalism this place portrays is commendable. I spoke to John the Manager and he was so knowledgeable about the memberships and helped answer all my questions. I highly recommend John at Nautilus Family Fitness to speak to when you visit. He seemed genuinely friendly and happy to assist.
The place was clean with a friendly atmosphere. The place gives off an ora of positivity. The place also offers more variety of things to do than any gym I've ever been in.
Great place the hot tub is nice and hot. It gets busy a lot though.
Just waiting and hoping for a corporate conglomerate to enter the region with tremendous financial reserves that will render an end to what has been endured far too long.
Awesome place to workout, been going here for years. Samantha Waggoner who oversees operations knows how to handle business.
We moved here 3 years ago & started working out here. We have been most satisfied. Especially my wife, Carole, really likes working out there 3 or 4 days a week in the Silver Sneakers with Tiffany Dixon. I enjoy the treadmills on bad weather days. Great, friendly atmosphere, great equipment & staff.
Pool, hot tub, sauna, variety of equipment, great trainers, classes, tanning, massage chairs, child care, basketball court. 24 hours during the week. It has everything I have been looking for in a gym.
I really enjoy going to the 6 am classes at Nautilus. Carla is a wonderful instructor and I always enjoy the workout. It is a wonderful way to start my day!
It's ok if you can make it at the right time when not crowded
Just recently moved into the area and I was impressed with the this gym when I was looking around. I've had memberships at other gyms in the Dallas metropolitan area, and thought this gym would have been a great fit for me and my personal fitness goals.
With that being said, the people that represent Nautilus Family Fitness in Sherman is the WORST, hands down. I've never seen such an unprofessional group of staff members and MOST of the trainers, not all trainers. Ive witness trainers eating while with clients, making fun of other gym members, while they are with clients, to some trainers who don't know how to park their vehicle.
When you walk into the gym, the front desk should set the mood for those reaching personal goals. I've never seen one front desk associate acknowledge people coming in, or people leaving. I've witness front desk associates on phones, chatting with friends or not there, but hanging out where trainers take their clients, surfing the Internet. I've witness trainers who workout, but do not put the weights back from where they got them, but just leave it for others to pick up after them. I believe there's is sign that requests people to put weights back when they are finished. I could go on, and on, but there just so much.
My recommendation for those looking to get a membership at a gym. Bypass Nautilus Family Fitness, as there are many other gyms to choose from in the area.
I m only giving a star because I have to. This gym is complete garbage. The staff is rude, and unintelligible. They pick fights with customers, gossip and put their noses up at you if they don t like you. Very very judging. There is a lot of equipment but it s often broken, and it s ALWAYS dirty. I visited this gym for far too long. I sincerely hope another gym puts this one out of business.
I absolutely love their classes! From their 6am to their afternoon classes, haven t been disappointed yet! I really enjoy the opportunity to take the 6am classes more then afternoon ones due to family obligations after work. Carla is great making sure to throw some different things into the mix of our workouts to make it more fun and interesting! She definitely keeps me motivated to keep coming back for more!!!
The staff and trainers are all very helpful and great to work with. I love all the machines that are there for use for your workout.
I have been a member here for almost if not already 2 years. The classes are fine and the sauna is great but I find it extremely hard to get a trainer and the communication is awful. I have been speaking with the guy in charge of the trainers for last 4-6 months and he gave me options of which I was interested in the bootcamp that way the training would not be as expensive but still get help getting in shape. He said he would get one started, then the next month he claims he is working on it but had some trainers quit etc..and fast forward to December he said one should start in January and stated he had to fire ppl or something, then fast forward to today, February, he said he has more pressing stuff to worry about and blew me off completely. So I plan to end my membership with Nautilus. No point in paying so much a month and not be able to take advantage of the services you wanted.
After attending Silver Sneakers classes for 14 years in another area - with 6 different instructors - I can honestly say Tiffany Dixon is "The Best". The variety. the music and the friendliness are 100%. The facility is also Great!!
I really enjoy the Aqua classes at Nautilus Family Fitness.
Carrie Golike is a great instructor and keeps all of us moving!
The staff is very friendly and the equipment is always super clean. Beth is an awesome trainer!
I don t know why people are complaining about this place. I found this GYM Amazing, Wonderful, Great. You wanna know the secret.....
I Always Mind My Business
My issue is with the owner, we got our platinum membership after asking about the minimum age requirement of using the workout floor multiple times. We were told by multiple staff members that the minimum age was 13. Perfect!
Well, this morning while working out with our children who are 13, the owner observed me doing my sets on the bench press. My son was waiting his turn. We do not allow our children to lift weights unsupervised to make sure that they are not injured. Our children are calm, not running around or messing with things, and take lifting and being healthly seriously.
The owner decided on the spot to change the minimum age on the floor to 14 because she said they were just watching. She then asked a staff member to let us know.
The owner watched for 2 minutes and made a bad judgment call. The staff has been fantastic and handled the situation with grace and understanding. Actually, besides this issue, its been great.
I've left my number for the owner to call me. Hopefully we can get this resolved because I've signed a year long contract with the understanding our our 13 yr olds would be able to use the equipment. Will update review after discussion with the owner.
EDIT: In response to the reply below. The staff had already verified the age of our children when we came in the door... I look forward to the call.
This place has everything you need for less than the "designer" gyms. If you're in Grayson County this is the best value you'll find.
Eric is a super dude! He always greets me when I come in and if I am not smiling he makes me smile.
Friendly staff and large selection of machines but I tried to cancel my membership since I haven't been in a while and I got stuck with elevator music.I cancelled but still have to pay out of my check
The manager, Mr. John Pack, and the rest of the staff are very friendly and helpful! Love this place! Highly recommend!
