I have worked with NationsClassroom in various capacities for the last ten years. I have been in the main office for the last 4 years. The culture at NationsClassroom is one of nurturing and excellence. We all have one main objective, to deliver exceptional educational experiences for our students. I feel I am part of a great team. All of us will go the extra mile to give great customer service. I am proud to be part of this company. It has been a great ride and feel I have provided many students the chance to touch our nation's history and make it their own.

Just got back from a 7 day tour with my daughter. It caught me by suprise how good of a trip this was. Everything from our driver, tour guide, hotel to meals were great. My son will be going on this trip in 3 years and I will make sure that I'm a chaperone again. Great experience for a parent/child to do together!
Since 2011 we have taken our 8th graders to Washington DC. Every year we trust NationsClassroom to coordinate our trip for us. They take great care in attention to detail to make sure that every single student has a wonderful experience and spectacular memories that will last a lifetime. Their personal touch and dedication to student learning and experience sets them apart from any other tour company. They are the best!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on this company. The itinerary they give is always changing and some stops are just skipped all together. Once you get to one of the stops on the tour, you are given a small amount of time to see it. It takes longer than 30 minutes to see a museum. The tour guide puts students in danger by loading and unloading in unsafe zones. If you are to get hurt, don't expect the tour guide to offer any help, even though they can call a Dr to come to you. The security that is suppose to keep the students safe and in their own rooms is non existing. Students are left to roam the halls at all hours of the night. The behavioral contract students and parents sign is never followed. The owner of his company only cares about getting your money and not about the safety of the students. The only good reviews I can find are from the owners and their employees. This company is not accredited with the BBB. Find an agency that doesn't rush students through everything. Find one that lets them enjoy the sites and with a knowlegable tour guide. BECAREFUL LEAVING A NEGATIVE REVIEW. THE OWNER JAY HAS HIS FRIEND TOMMY ESS ATTACK ANYONE WHO LEAVES A NEGATIVE REVIEW. I WAS CALLED AWFUL THINGS BY TOMMY. WHO WORKS FOR NATIONSCLASSROOM!
I would give zero stars if I could. They like to take your child s hard earned money, change the date of the trip and they say sorry it s our policy. Yet their policy does not state a pandemic in their refund policy statement. They will not call you back, will not return emails. STAY AWAY!!!
If you want you child to actually see DC and not just show up and take a picture in front of monuments, then this is not the company for you. I guess the new cool thing to do is to just show up take a picture to say you was there. That is not how it should work. You should be able to spend more than 20 minutes at a monument. Tour guide is not very knowageable and bashed our President the whole tour. I get not everyone likes our President, but you don't bash him as part of the tour. The security they tell you that will be on the hotel floor to protect your child is a joke. They spent more time outside than at their post. Be ware of leaving a negative review. I went to theit yelp page and an employee of NationsClassroom was on there bashing and name calling people who left negative reviews. The owner had his employee do this. If I had known this my kid never would have went. This is not a good company to trust you children with!
NOT GOOD PEOPLE TO DO BUSINESS WITH! Their website looks great, with kids appearing to be learning about this great country we live in. The reality, is another matter. Paid 3500 bucks to go on this trip with my freshman daughter. Signed a neat behavioral contract, security provided, no coed room hopping, quiet time from 10pm to 630 am..what a joke. Chaperones, responsible for about 43 other families kids, had boxes of wine delivered to the hotel before the kids ever got there. Tour guide ran the kids around attractions they got pics in front of but didnt get to see. Kids were loaded and unloaded off the bus in unsafe areas, at one point a DC cop pulled behind the bus, and yelled "do not load those kids, do not load those kids, had to literally exit his cop car and made the busdriver stop loading, and leave the area to get to a safe loading area. Wine was consumed the entirety of the trip, altho by OUR laws, one 12oz beer, 1 shot of liquor, or 5 oz wine is enough to impair judgement. I was injured leaving the museum of natural history, knee swelled double the size of the other one, wouldnt even stop for an ice pack, much less the dr which is supposed to be available to come to you on a dc trip No help. Opted out the next day due to injury, the chaperones tried to bully me into going anyway. There was an adult wine party in the room on one side of my daughters room, and a 12-15 kid coed party, UNSUPERVISED on the other side of her room. The alleged security, i have multiple pictures of an empty security chair from about 11:15 till 230 am. But a security log stating they walked the hall and did checks every hour. My daughter stayed back with me on day 3, and was blamed by the chaperones as being the reason they had to "miss" a couple of attractions. She was bullied by students through the group chat, called horrid names, said they wish shed die, and the and all with the silence of the chaperones. No corrective action..to the point that one of the students sent screenshots to his mother who called the trip organizer, and then they offered to get us a different flight home after paying over 3000 for the trip.the behavioral contract forbids bullying, forbids coed room habitation, and promises security. My faughter came to my.room at 138am, because.she couldnt sleep because of the partying. Had to stay another night to avoid being stuck between a.room full of bullying kids, and bullying chaperones..dont try.to talk to nations, cause theyll instantly tell you how great they are, and how good their tour guides are. I have screenshots of about every bit of tje behavioral contract violations. After multiple emails, they finaly asked for my statement in writing. I personaly, would never send my kid on another trip through them. They provided security logs saying "all clear" once an hour. I have security logs stating the same, but with an additional several text messages between the company supervisor, and a security guard whose log says all clear, but text messages stating that at approximately 230am, he had to run several mixed gender(co ed) kids, 12 to 15, out of 4 teen girls room. Safety isnt a concern, your health is not a concern, nothing was a concern till i emailed em about the emty.security station and falsified security logs. Save your money, and take a trip with your kids. Show them things they can learn, itll be a lot better, and safer for you all. Im 51 years old, been through some tuff times in life, this was by far the most horrific experience i have ever had. Only gave one star because i couldnt figure out how to leave a negative 5 stars..save your money, and protect your kids. Had i checked reviews first, the place had a 1 star yelp review. Not big on reviews and wat not, i just wanted to save other parents the money, and terrible experience of dealing with this company. Lots of other REPUTABLE tour companies to go with, but if your concerned with morals, and education, probably not who you want to spend 3 grand with..took me half a year just to pay for the miserable experience.
BEWARE....child scammers.....they schedule large trips for kids then cancel with no refund....The President of company (Bloxom) is a thief that steals from children...JAIL TIME FOR BLOXOM is what needs to happen
Our 8th grade class trip had been cancelled by our school board. NationsClassroom did a great job with how they handled notifying us and what they were able to refund back to me. I spoke to 2 people in the office and they were very helpful with answering my questions. I really appreciated all the communication that this company had with me. Well done!
Our school trip was cancelled two months before the date of departure due to the virus and school closing. Nations Classroom informed us that we cannot have a full refund and that some of their vendors are holding onto our money. A horrible way to do business given the circumstances. They should make up the difference. So Nations will be holding onto roughly $7,000 worth of deposits. Not a great way to conduct business. Laura B of Raleigh
