Excellent group of guys, Sales team is up front and honest, if you ask them for anything they will give you an honest answer. The technicians are very professional and their main concern is doing the job the right way the first time. I bought a COBB AP for my 2007 335i through them and had a Race tune by Vlad. He was able to make power well beyond my expectations with no decrease in reliability.

Just the best team to work with. They really know their cars and I won't be going anywhere else!

National Speed is by far the best shop in town! I wouldn't trust any other shop with my car. They only provide top quality work to all of their customers and the cars that leave the shop are proof. They have the most knowledgeable, and cool, staff that can steer you in the right direction no matter what your build plans are. National Speed will definitely be seeing my car again; I'm always happy to see those guys!

I drove my EVO 8 to National Speed for some MODs. Intercooler upgrade, Injectors, Fuel pump, and Cams. It was only suppose to be there a week. I talked to the sales guy and he said to let them put the parts on that way if anything goes wrong they would cover it. After the first week went by they told me the car was having issues that it didn't have when I dropped it off. They said the temp gauge wasn't reading correctly so they changed out the temp sensor and thermostat. Then the next week they said it was done. I live in Ga so I had to drive 4 1/2 hours to get the car. I pick the car up. It had no gas. The gas light came on after 5 miles. I filled up at a CITGO with premium fuel and when I tried to pull out of the gas station the car ran like doo doo. I called Dave at National Speed and he said he would send a tow truck. They towed it back and I told Dave that I expected not to see a bill for this. He said "of course". The next week Dave told me I had put "bad gas" in the car so I said if they change the gas and the car still isn't right then it must not have been the gas and I don't want to pay but if it runs good then I will pay. Well a week goes by and they tell me there is an electrical problem which is making the car run lean. I told him to stop touching my car and I will take it somewhere else. I drove the car to Force-Fed and in 2 hours they fixed everything. My fuel pump was installed incorrectly hence all the issues. National Speed sent me a dyno of what my car made that said 340 HP. When Force-Fed dyno'd it with that tune it made 220 HP. After Force-Fed put thier tune in it the car mad 317 HP on a MUSTANG Dyno. National Speed must have lied to me and couldn't figure out what was wrong with the car so they kept charging me for little things so they could pay thier techs for trying to figure out the problem. National speed charged me for 3 Dyno tests which didn't matter because the couldn't get the proper amount of fuel it needed due to the fuel pump install that was botched. I asked Dave the General Manager for my money back for all the guess work they did after the fuel pump install ($1,981.95) to honor his orginal word of " If it's something we did we won't charge you" and he said I will give you $300. He said all this happened because I put bad gas in the car and I went to that gas station a week after and asked if anyone complained about thier gas and they said no. I couldn't even pull out of the gas station without noticing a problem but all the other cars getting that gas didn't notice an issue? Crooks......if you have a EVO go to Force-Fed. National Speed cannot be trusted.

Arrived as a customer and left with a few more friends who share the same passion I do. Their customer service was nothing short of excellence and should be the bar all other shops are measured against. I cannot thank Adam, Vlad, and Dane enough for taking care of me and my car. Although I didn't get the chance to meet all the staff I have no doubts they pride themselves in their work just the same and I can't wait to make the trip back for more upgrades in the future!

STAND BY YOUR WORK! If you charge someone to install a product, then DONT, and it causes engine failure, that s what we call negligence!

This guys are amazing. Excellent work and they really take care of the customer. As far as I can see, the couple of negative comments are all from Sean Teitjen who owns BnT Performance, a local competitor. Want to know whether to have work done at BnT or National Speed. Visit BnT first and them go to NS. Choice should be easy.

Great group of guys that really know what they re doing. Purchased a vehicle recently that developed an intermittent fuel issue. I had no idea about the history or tune on the car. They had it fixed and properly tuned in about half a day. I later found some documentation from the previous owner where just 6 months ago it was at another speed shop a couple hours away for some upgrades and tune. The issues I was having were due to poor workmanship from the other shop. Not the case at National Speed. After the repair and being properly tuned at National Speed, they were able to get another 25 HP out of the car versus the previous dyno tune at the other shop. These guys will definitely have all of my business in the future!

Ive been coming to National Speed for over 5 years now with a variety of different vehicles. I have never once left the facility unsatisfied. Jordan has been there day in and day out, every step of the way for every project I've ever had. Their customer service is unmatchable in this type of industry, no questions asked. Take the time to go visit their shop for a tour, and you'll feel like family when you walk through the door!

Great shop. Jordan's super personable, up-front and easy to work with. Did fairly minor work on my 2001 Integra GSR a few years back (Hasport mounts). In fact, he arranged for a former high school student of mine to do an internship at this shop. If I were in the area again, this would be the first spot I would take my car for modding/tuning.

I've had work done on 3 Subaru's I've owned/still own. They do FLAWLESS work on everything I have ever seen come out of that shop. Everyone there is more than happy to help you figure out the next step for your vehicle based on what you want out of it. The work they have done on my Subaru rally car so far is incredible! I decided to let their creativity come out when it came to custom mounting for several things, and I was left speechless. Only shop I trust with my cars.

Just had a Billy Boat full cat-back exhaust installed on my 2011 CTS-V Wagon at National Speed. I knew, based on my previous experiences, that they would be patient and do it right the first time -- and I'm very picky. Surprisingly, the fit on the exhaust was not optimal, but they made the necessary modifications & adjustments they knew were necessary to meet my expectations. Once again, it's an absolute no-brainer having National Speed do the work on my ride.

Always a pleasure to work with, I have brought my car here all the way from Raleigh 3 times now because they are the only people I trust with my car. A lot of shops seem to try to sell me ok bs added parts or services but at national speed they have talked with me and explained time and time again what I need to do and how I should go about it.

Up tuned my Taco with Magnaflow and cools air intake. Got another 25 HP!

Horrible. dropped my car off there before i left for a deployment telling them what i needed done which was wiring and and a tune which was gunna got 2 grand then i got an email about three months into the deployment and somehow all kinds of things were wrong with my car and it was then going to cost 5 grand. got back from my deployment 7 months later and the car wasn't even touched. they wanted to charge me for a diagnostic when i told them what was wrong with it in the first place. money hungry, dishonest, lazy, and don't care about customer satisfaction. DO NOT take your care there or any where in the jacksonville/wilmington area...must travel for good quality...too bad i even had to choose one star.

Ive taken my 85 325e to NS three times and each time all the employees have been very nice. The dyno time is a little expensive, but worth the price when your treated right. Its nice to take your vehicle to a good shop that can tune correctly and safely.

I didn't want to change TOO much on my new Fiesta ST, but I knew what it was actually capable of. I talked to Jordan, who was awesome, through exactly what I wanted. He did upsell me on a rear motor mount (which wasn't even expensive), but man, he knew it would give me what I wanted.

They put in a high-flow filter, set up an Accessport from Cobb, installed the RMM, and gave the whole thing a tune. It took less than a day and I just hung around the shop talking to people - everyone there is great and they each have their own awesome car stories.

I watched the before/after dyno runs in amazement. They were able to crank out more that 30hp and 60lb-ft without any real parts, just their expertise! Driving it away, power band is noticeably longer, smoother, and definitely quicker.

Even from out of state, I'd never hesitate to come back to these guys. Just incredible.

If I could leave one star I would.
I first went to national speed to talk about getting my motor rebuilt in my celica because it was ticking bad. They sweet talked me up a bit and sounded very knowledgeable and seemed very nice at first so I brought them my car. They said it would be a month and they ll have it done. 3 months later still no car. I finally get my car back and it s $1500 more than I expected because other issues that came up
The car seemed to be running ok when I got it. I drove it home (I live in havelock) so it s a 2 hour drive. When I almost get home the car starts sputtering and hogging out. I call them the next day and desperately asking them to let me bring the car back and they say we can t get to it right now call back in a few weeks they did not apologize or anything. So a few weeks pass and the car is border line non drivable because it shuts off at idle. I call back and they say they re too busy still. TOO BUSY TO FIX YOUR SCREW UP???
Then a week goes by and I call them about twice a week and they won t even answer my calls anymore. I tried for 3 months to get my car back to them they avoided me at all costs.
I ended up taking it to a different performance shop and they listed the numerous things wrong with the build including how extremely rich my car was running. They ended up helping me but yet again had to spend a butt load more money to fix national speeds mess up.
I know people make mistakes but this is not right to not fix my car after they built it.
ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY YOU ARE WORTHLESS TO THEM

National Speed installed a suspension lift and aftermarket exhaust on my brand new 2015 GMC Sierra. Their work and attention to detail is second to none. I would recommend them to anyone looking to boost performance for their vehicle. Couldn't be happier with the work they performed!

First and foremost, If I were to say that National Speed is all about treating their customers as customers, I would be politically incorrect. They treat everyone as if they are family. The team at National speed will do everything in their power to ensure your dreams are met. Before my first tune , I contacted them religiously with questions I had on what parts are recommended for my tune. Instead of them getting angry and frustrated, they were enthusiastic about getting me where I needed to be. So far I have had two tuning sessions with them and they did an amazing job. Their tuner, Vlad, is hands down the best around. If you need anything answered about parts or just with your tune, he can answer anything for you. He is not afraid to tell you what's right or wrong with your build. And last but not least , the man behind the curtain, CEO , Jordan Watson. If you are around in North Carolina and are looking for great customer service, come and see this man. His enthusiastic demeanor and knowledge will speak for himself. What a fantastic shop! Extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. I recently purchased a supercharged Aston Martin and these guys know their stuff! This car spent some time in their shop getting fine tuned and it runs amazing well!!! Jordan was exceptionally helpful and I can't wait to do more business with them.

Installed Greddy Turbo kit on my S2000 and called them up and ask them if they can tune the Emanage Ultimate that came with the kit and of course they said they can. First trip there and it took them 3 hour to hook the computer up and interface with the Emanage Ultimate, in fact they had to use my personal computer because their computer's USB port was not working. Altho the finally was able to tune the car but it was with ok result. I feel the drivability was lacking, Car seems to run rich (according to my AEM AFR). Anyway, if you want them to tune your Emanage, think twice

Installed some parts and tuned my Subaru. Zero issues. Car gained 30hp/70tq off an intake and exhaust on a 4 cyl motor. Car actually runs better now too as the throttle was WAY too sensitive in 1st off the line. Runs perfect now.

I went here about a year ago to get my 2013 Camaro ZL1 tunes after installing my kooks long tube headers and they put it on the dyno and I was surprised by the results. Was very quick with the tune and was cheaper than anywhere else around. Plan on doing more work here soon on my ZL1!! Excellent shop and very satisfied!!

Well after reading the reviews on here I thought it would be a good place to take my subaru to get tuned. Boy was I wrong.....It had a brand new sti short block and I had just finished the break in miles. I took it there and asked for a conservative tune, after 3 weeks of calling and never getting an answer they finally returned my call after I left numerous voice mails. They stated that after the fourth run on the dyno they managed to blow the turbo seals and it would need a rebuild., they said the motor was still fine tho. He said we can rebuild the turbo for $400, I said you want me to pay for something that you blew up? Unbeliveable! I asked for a conservative tune. They still made me the pay the bill for the tune. I took the turbo to reputable subaru shop in the triangle who rebuilt it. Got the turbo back in the car and started it up, immediately noticed the car was running extremely lean. Cut the car off until i could get it properly tuned. Decided to run a leak down just as I had done before I brought the car to national speed. Before I brought it up there it had great compression and only 1% leak down across all cylinders. Now after getting the car back from national speed the leak down came back with 80% leak down in cylinder 4. The engine has been removed and is now under going a rebuild because national speed broke the ringland in cylinder 4!!! The short block only had 1000 miles on it!! It was perfectly fine before I brought it up there. In 4 short dyno pulls they managed to blow up my motor and turbo! AVOID AVOID THIS PLACE!! They have offered me nothing in return after blowing up my brand new short block and turbo!!

I had called and told them that I get the check engine light every time I reach a certain amount of speed in my 335i bmw and they told me all I need is to get my car tuned. So I go and get my car tuned from them. They ended up not being able to tune the car because that check engine light came on like if they didn t know about it. So they weren t able to tune my car but they still charged me. They also told me they ll call me back the following week and they never did. This was a months ago.

These guys are seriously the best in the business. I've never had a better experience with a business or a group of guys. It's the only shop I've ever trusted with my car and I recommend you do the same!

Impressive performance modifications place for your vehicle. Dane plus the staff are very knowledgeable. What I was appreciative of the most was recommendations. Only cost effective parts not installing parts that aren't performance enhancements. The for show not go parts I'm referring to. Unless you seriously don't respect a genuine opinion.

Awesome shop, quality work. Very professional and nice staff. Got my Evo tuned a few times here, and some work done like bolt ons installs and diagnostics. Stationed in Lejeune so it s 45-1hr drive but it s the only shop in the area I trust with my evo. Only downside is they re always booked pretty far out because they are THAT GOOD. Would recommend to anyone with a performance car/truck.

Everyone comes and gives a review "They are the best" This shop is top notch. They take the time to walk you through the project, they are knowledgable, they do what they say, and meet time lines under their control. I had my vehicle destroyed by another shop where i live. National Speed got the car back up and running after the previous shop gave me my car back with no oil or my parts i payed for amoung other things. After a complete motor overhaul, inspection of my drag trans, and the parts the other shop neglected to install National installed what i payed for and were always helpful and kept me informed. Great group of guys.

Even during COVID-19 I had a great experience with the team in NC. They took my 2004 Z06 from a stock tune to the next level. Great service and I look forward to my next visit.

I had a great experience with this shop. My Subaru was running like total crap and extremely lean so I decided to get a tune from these guys. I called several times with questions on what I should do to prepare for the tune and what exactly it involved and Jordan was enthusiastic and excited to explain everything to me in detail. When I told them my availability was very tight they pulled through and got me in on a time that worked for me. The shop looks GREAT! They definitely take extreme pride in what they do and it shows. The tuner who worked on my car , Vlad, explained to me why exactly my car wasn't operating at optimal levels and took the time to explain to me what to look out for in the future to ensure my vehicle stays running properly in the long run. The tune runs great, better than I expected. Everyone was extremely respectful and kind. I will definatley be returning for future projects these gentlmen are hands down one of the best shops in North Carolina and true car enthusiasts.

I have had a vast amount of work done on my 2008 350z by the team down at National Speed and have not one bad thing to say about them. The dedication of all the employees to make a customers wants and needs to come to life RIGHT is what sets them a part from the other performance shops throughout the area. They will go out of their way to not only get things done right but also build a relationship with one customer even outside of vehicles. The integrity of the crew shows at all times where other shops especially in the Jacksonville area don't. They will never tell you to order a part that isn't needed and will tell you in a heartbeat that ordering a 700$ part that produces little to no performance gain is not the best move. I personally hit roadblocks with performance companies where i needed parts or a little part wore out and Jordan and his crew went into overtime to get my car back running. End state is if you are looking to get any type of vehicle worked on to achieve what you want these guys are the place. If you are trying to just learn about the automotive scene in the eastern nc area and want to build a relationship with great enthusiast National Speed is the place to go. Drive that extra time and get your goals done right

This place is like a scene directly out of the Fast Franchise. They have awesome, extremely knowledgeable staff. They have a Dyno booth with glass all around it you can watch from the show room

National Speed has proven time and again why they're the only people that work on my vehicles. Randall performed a full engine reseal on my '95 M3 last year, and Vlad recently buttoned up my ITB project with a great calibration. Great work and friendly, genuine guys. Wouldn't hesitate to bring them anything I needed help with.

Took my 06 mustang gt for edelbrock supercharger almost doubled my hp this thing screams

you get what you pay for, they are not cheap, but I am very happy with my project, did a complete engine, and suspension swap on an accord.

If I could leave 10 stars I would. Actually if I could leave 100 stars I would!! I brought my 2010 Chevy Camaro SS in and I had no idea what I wanted (hey I'm okay being honest here lol). Ive been burned by speed shops before so I was planning on taking it slow but I heard that this place is different and they were right. Daniel really took the time to listen to me heard what I wanted without me even being able to explain it very good and put a proposal together that was within what I told him I wanted to spend. I had never spent so much money one of my cars before but I can honestly say it was worth ever penny!!! I fell in love with my Camaro again. I guess 600 horses will do that lol. I cant thank National Speed enough. I recommend every car guy I know to go here.

These guys are great, And they know their craft, for the pleasure coming down meeting the guys and getting the work done to my truck.

I've worked with National Speed for three years, and they are professionals...period. They don't cut corners, they aren't trying to burn thru "x" number of installs per week. True, National Speed does not work cheap. If you want it cheap and fast, go to a competitor, then when it breaks, take to Jordan to get it done RIGHT. If you want it done right the first time this is your place. They stand behind their work. There's a reason people come from VA, TX, and KS to get their work done here... The bitterness of poor quality lasts long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten. I wish more of the sastifed customers would get on to review their work and not skew the overall rating! BTW - I'm a 29 military veteran with 5 combat tours. My integrity comes before everything else - I don't bend the truth 1 degree; not for friends or family and not for National Speed...

What a great staff and a awesome group of guys. I rebuild my engine in 2018 in my 2003 Mustang GT. I took it to National Speed To get a tuned and they done an outstanding job. In 2020 I added a few more mods and took it back to them and they done another outstanding job LOL. These guys are the best. If you want it done right National Speed is the place to go.
