In general, today I plunged into the theatrical atmosphere, and walked "from the hanger" to the backstage.
My walk began from the portrait of Shevchenko, then I get into the still sleeping auditorium and watch how the stage is being prepared for the performance - I see how the orchestra pit looks alive.
And after that I go to the holy of holies - backstage. I walk past the red corner where all the press conferences are held.
And here she is! Great scene! She is already elegant and majestic , decorated with decorations and froze in anticipation of the audience. The final preparations are coming, and I see it with my own eyes from behind the curtains! Not as a spectator, but on the reverse side! The feeling is very unusual!
I see a ballerina who is just putting on pointe shoes. I see a ballerina warming up before performing in a tracksuit and without a tutu. I go out onto the stage itself and see another sleeping auditorium. And how much lighting equipment! I had no idea how large-scale it is there.
And then I go to the stage, then the patio . I examine the props and various props for performances, which gives the performances liveliness, verisimilitude or, conversely, phantasmagoricity.
And finally, I m going through the everyday backstage to the ballet classes, where you will learn how everyday and staging work is going on, but I m also lucky - I saw the rehearsal process! What graceful and graceful they are in dance! For a couple of minutes I am dumb with delight! How beautiful they are!
I go further: I leave the backstage, and I go towards the dressing room, where you can already see a lot of makeup artists. Magic is created in the dressing room, new personalities and images are created. Young turn into old men. Beautiful in freaks. In general - this is beyond words. It is very interesting to see!
While I was walking backstage, the theater was already filling with the first spectators ...

Here is the best theater in Kyiv. I visit it every weekend and do not want to stop. There many interesting shows in its program so you may choose what to watch. Its architecture allows everyone (even while sitting on the worse side) to see the stage well. I recommend you to visit it

Score five to the action itself and architecture. Since childhood, I go here. The staff are terrible, ill-mannered, rudeness of the times of the 90s. Few people provide such jobs, but here they feel safe and rude for no reason at all. I wish these women to marry and improve family relations, and not hang out on clients because of their problems and dissatisfaction with life.

This building is impregnated with antiquity. Especially when you get in behind the scenes of the main hall. Outside is a beautiful building, but inside there is a very cramped space at the entrance and in general the rooms are small, the wardrobe is not comfortable.

Review of the theater not visiting 29.05.19. I was not allowed into the theater, citing the fact that I was wearing shorts. Money for the ticket is also not returned. Cited the rules, which are reflected in the electronic ticket and on the website. I check the e-ticket: there is no word about the ban on shorts and the dress code. On the site I find a ban on sports and beachwear, there is not a word about shorts. Shorts are an element of casual wear, and absolutely not necessarily shorts are beach and sporty. Barring entry into shorts, the administration allows entry into short skirts that are shorter than my shorts. Thus, I regard the position of the administration of the theater as a mockery of the spectator, discrimination on arbitrary grounds, as well as theft on trifles (non-refunded ticket value). I recommend the administration to learn how to get rid of conventions that are good for the 19th century, but they look ridiculous in the 21st century, and leave only rational, meaningful and logical, reasonable rules for use. Believe me, the shorts on the viewer in no way affect the quality of performance by the musicians and vocalists of their parts. I wish to increase your IQ and develop logical thinking!

I visit practically every year when my nieces arrive, I am always happy: beautiful performance, colorful costumes, excellent decorations, an orchestra .... there are simply no words!
And the building itself is very beautiful, both outside and inside !!!
In general, the entire ballet is bright and memorable! I advise everyone who is not indifferent to ballet and classical music!

The main (National) Opera & Ballet Theatre of Ukraine. Great place. Must-visit for tourists. Quite cheap tickets (3-25 ). Autentic inside. Pets are not allowed for shows.

Prices for tickets from 80 UAH. up to 600UAH. Ticket for 150 UAH. Excellent visibility and acoustics. Many talented young performers, good declarations. Buffet very expensive. Every year the repertoire becomes diverse, Anatoly Solovyanenko is a fine stage director.

Location, acoustics, orchestra, repertoire, what is happening on stage and the general atmosphere - everything is on top.

Yesterday we listened to Carmen. The impressions are twofold, the women's parties were impressive, in the male roles I wanted to see younger performers.

He was with his wife on "Carmen" and "Schakhirezada". Received an incredible aesthetic pleasure. Ballet would be beautiful. Costumes, decorations and lighting, all at the highest level. Great orchestra. Highly recommend!!!

Surprise causes only the filling of the theater. It seems that the leadership was stuck somewhere in the 50s of the last century. And it is in the center of a modern city. It is very strange that the main theater of opera and ballet of the country, diligently circumvents all modern trends in art and this, in principle, suits everyone.

I was booked on the same day by accident on the weekend during business trip. I was booked at about 20000 won on the first line of the second floor side. I saw the opera, but I was a little bored because I could not understand it ... I ended up coming out at the second intermission. I can have a good experience at a low price. It is really difficult to book a cheap seat for a couple of thousand won ... I went up to that place and it is so inconvenient and I can not see it well.

You can buy a ticket from 20 to 500 UAH, the students of NMAU admission is free.
