Very moving Military Memorial site. Groups of memorials and personal memorials scattered around the site. Visitors Centre is very welcoming. Good facilities with a good shop and tea & coffee facilities and parking. Large site to explore, so allow plenty of time for your visit. Good facilities for corporate meetings also.

This place gets better every time we go. The new welcome center is staggering and beautiful. The grounds and the memorial gardens are a perfect memorial to all those we have lost in the defence of our country. If you are ever passing by it is well worth the effort of dropping in

Lovely place and could have spent hours. 4 stars only from us because we wished we'd made alternative arrangements for our dogs as it's not quite as dog friendly as we'd interpreted. Unmanned motorhome car park is further away from the museum so weren't prepared to leave the dogs there, the tying posts weren't very close to what we'd want to see and it rained heavily. Young assistant in the cafe had to ask if we could bring the dogs in. We didn't get as much out of our day as hoped, but will be back.

Incredible place and so moving. Fairly exposed so wrap up warm if it is cold and windy. Informative. I had not realised just how many conflicts this country has been involved with since the 2nd world war.

What promised to be a historic moment (armistice service) was badly let down by the PA system that failed. Shocking! The service wasn't audible so we left early. The staff were very apologetic and fully understood our disappointment but it was out of their control. We have been before and just to walk around and to contemplate the devastation and cost of war is so striking. The arboretum is stunning. For today's service I would only give 1 star but ordinarily this would be 5 stars.

A truly amazing place to visit. Really well laid out we only had 2 hours, we will definitely return and see the rest of this humbling memorial garden. There is a very nice cafe, not expensive, with lots of choices to eat & drink. Entrance is free but there is a charge for the car park. A must visit place.

Fantastic place to visit if you're interested in armed forces history and remembrance.

Guided tours are available, using golf style carts if needed, there are also a couple of road trains with automatic commentary.
It's quite a large area and could be seen in one day but we did two separate morning visits.

Amazing site, I had no idea of the number or variety of memorials, from the huge Armed Forces memorial down to the individual trees dedicated to stillborn children. All very touching & thought provoking. Beautifully kept & organized. Food at the restaurant excellent, sensibly priced & friendly & helpful staff all across the site.

Not just memorials, nice gardens & parkland, too. A good morning out if the weather is fair. Free admission is a bonus, good parking at a fair price. We will return during another 'season' to view the fauna & flora at a different time of the year.

Very well presented and designed. As you would expect it's very moving emotionally at times. A great learning centre and makes you appreciate the sacrifices made by previous generations and that similar sacrifices are still being made by our armed forces around the world. Lessons ever truly learned???

It is a place for reflection and remembrance. I always feel better after a visit. The restaurant is full or wonderful meals and treats. A separate coffee shop is separate with lots of treats to eat. The guides and staff are fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. Please go., but not on a wet windy day. A train will take you round, or book a buggy. Enjoy

About National Memorial Arboretum

The National Memorial Arboretum is a unique and special place in the UK that serves as a year-round place to remember. It is located in Staffordshire, England, and covers an area of 150 acres. The arboretum is home to over 30,000 trees and more than 350 memorials dedicated to those who have served their country.

The National Memorial Arboretum was established in 1997 with the aim of creating a living tribute to all those who have served their country. The arboretum has since become one of the most popular visitor attractions in the UK, attracting over 300,000 visitors each year.

One of the things that make the National Memorial Arboretum so special is its beautiful grounds. The arboretum's grounds are open throughout the year and are free for visitors to enter. Visitors can take a peaceful stroll through the gardens or sit quietly by one of the many memorials dedicated to fallen soldiers.

The National Memorial Arboretum also offers guided tours for visitors who want to learn more about its history and significance. These tours are led by knowledgeable guides who can provide insight into each memorial's meaning and significance.

In addition to its beautiful grounds, the National Memorial Arboretum also hosts events throughout the year that celebrate our nation's heritage and honor those who have served their country. These events include concerts, exhibitions, lectures, and remembrance services.

One of these events is Armed Forces Day which takes place annually on June 27th at NMA where people come together from across Britain showing support for our Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families; veterans; cadets; reservists & charities associated with them.

Another event hosted at NMA every November is Remembrance Sunday which commemorates all those who lost their lives during conflicts around world wars I & II as well as other conflicts since then such as Falklands War or Gulf War etc., it’s an opportunity for people across Britain show respect towards fallen heroes by laying wreaths at various memorials within NMA premises including Cenotaph replica situated there too!

Overall, if you're looking for a peaceful place where you can reflect on our nation's history while honoring those who have served it - look no further than The National Memorial Arboretum!
