I spent almost half a day here. Yes, I was that slow in reading details about the artists and I find them all interesting. Both big and small art, it just mesmerizing imagining what they were thinking creating those art. The boutique shop is also nice.

The national gallery is one of my favorite places to visit. I am a member so I go all the time now, but when I was a student and could not even afford the regular student price I would come on a Thursday from 5- 8 pm as it is Free to all citizens of Ottawa. The exhibitions are great to see experience for young and old alike. Their are very unique attractions at the gallery my personal favorite is the indoor water garden. It has this calming serene effect when you walk in. The chapel is also a must a see.

There is soo much space in this building that is not utilized even then the building it's self is a work of art. However parking is a hassle because it's right at the center of the city. I just wish they would conduct more events here and allow companies to host their own events as well.

The admission price is reasonable for a museum with such a large collection. The museum has a collection of both historical and natural treasures, including mommies, porcelain (historical) and fish, bats, mammals specimens (nature). It is definitely worth a visit if you are in Toronto for the first time.

Native art occupies more space than before. A larger part of the Museum's collection is on display. A feast for the eye ... and the ear, thanks to the Rideau Chapel!
The bathrooms smell so good! The visitor is satisfied!

Amazing architecture design. Stunning for the exterior as well as the interior. Must go for architecture fans. The museum divided the art pieces in terms of continents. The downside is fewer exhibis than I expected in such huge building.

Beautiful works of art. The price of admission is reasonable, seeing as you are seeing so much. There are sections for modern art, aboriginal art, european art, and several other sections full of beautiful and sometimes weird (there is a urinal that is supposed to be art...) art. There are many activities for children, like where you can draw and your creation gets put up on a wall a month later at most. There is a cafeteria and a gift shop, which is pretty good. There are a few outdoor exhibits and a field which is good for picnixs and flying kites. This is a great place for kids, with all of the activities and fun paintings. If you are anybody who... if you are anybody you should come here.

This place is incredible! We met Picasso, but please read the small signs on the walls. In some exhibits you are encouraged to use your cell phones and others, it is strictly prohibited, as we found out from a very rude employee. You'd think we tried to steal a Picasso from the way we were treated. Unnecessarily rude and condesending. Other than that, the National Gallery is a must-see if you're in beautiful Ottawa.
(Side note: I hate big cities (like Toronto). Ottawa may be a big city, the Capital of Canada, but it doesn't feel like a big city. There are streets that are open air markets, art sculptures all over, restaurant patios. It truly is a beautiful city!)

Claimed to be the leading museum standing for the country Canada, National Gallery of Canada has the most a collection of all in this country. One time visit will fail you as the limited time would be outrun by the amount of the arts works in display. Paintings are commonly expected in a gallery. But it has a collection of photographs pulling together a timeline of camera evolution and photography concepts based on camera mechanisms and artistic innovations. I personally enjoyed the most the photograph institute and sculptures just for my first visit. Looking forward to the future visits.
