The Welsh parliament building is beautiful. With its long swooping curves and it's wood and glass construction. Well worth a visit. The security is tight to get in but once inside you can see the debating chamber and have a coffee and cake in the cafe which has views to rivel any where. If you have not been, definitely worth a visit

If you visit Cardiff, a visit to the Welsh parliament, The Senedd is a must. It's situated in the trendy Cardiff Bay area. Once in the Senedd you can book to sit in the viewing gallery of the debating chamber. The debates are carried out in English and Welsh but there are headphones in the gallery that translate both languages

Wonderful building. It's arranged in a circular shape around a tree-like structure to encourage debate and exchange rather than confrontation.

Airport-like security to get in, except the officers here are very friendly and make it a very nice experience.

Past security, as we were approaching reception, a man stood up to meet us and offered us a guided tour which we were very happy to take. It was very informative and the man answered all our questions extensively.

Definitely worth visiting.

When I first saw this, I honestly thought it was a restaurant. Having gone in on a whim, I have to say that it delivers the symbolism it intended to, of open accessible government. Whether the politicians who work in there deliver the same openness and accessibility is a matter l ll leave to you to decide. It s worth stopping in if you re nearby if only to appreciate the building.

A very unique building, the entrance is free and the public can attend the parliamentary stations. The building is made of iron, wood and very glass, which gives it a natural light that is highly recommended in rainy countries. It is a place beloved by the Welsh people, they have a good democratic culture and are proud of the place where the voice of the people represented by the politicians voted by the same people comes, that is, they have not abducted the parliament with an article 155.

The Welsh Assembly building is architecturally outstanding. The materials are superb and the curvaceous roof is a joy to behold. Another Richard Rogers masterpiece. There is a comprehensive tour at 11am, which is well worth participating. A constant visual bonus is the view towards the Bay.

Amazing Building. You must visit. Not a very large building but interesting architecture style. The debating chamber is fascinating. Think it was opened in 2006 by the Queen. So not a lot of history yet.

Senedd, the glass house of Cardiff where Welsh Assembly Government meet. The building is a beautifully designed gem and a noticeable icon of Cardiff.

Situated in the centre of Cardiff bay, it has access to public transport and other attraction around the bay.

Beautiful place to photograph in both day and night.

This place is an incredible architectural achievement. It is a beautiful place to host large events. I have performed for many corporate receptions here including celebatory receptions for the Wales Rugby team on numerous occasions when they have returned from a Six Nations Grand Slam win and a World Cup semi final. I was also present to perform for the Wales Football team reception after their Euro 2016 victory. T every time the harp spunds even better in this place and the staff are always helpful, kind and accommodating. See a picture of THe Warren Gatland playing my harp below in front of the mushroom.

About National Assembly for Wales

The National Assembly for Wales, also known as the Welsh Parliament or Senedd, is the democratically elected body that represents the interests of Wales and its people. It was established in 1999 following a referendum on devolution, which granted Wales limited powers to make decisions on matters such as education, health and transport.

The Welsh Parliament is made up of 60 Members of the Senedd (MS), who are elected every five years using a mixed electoral system. This means that voters have two votes: one for their constituency MS and one for their regional MS. The aim of this system is to ensure that there is a balance between local representation and proportionality.

One of the main functions of the Welsh Parliament is to make laws for Wales. This includes passing legislation on areas such as health, education, housing and social services. The Welsh Government proposes new laws, which are then scrutinised by committees made up of MSs before being debated in plenary sessions.

In addition to making laws, the Welsh Parliament also has responsibility for agreeing Welsh taxes. Since April 2018, it has had powers to set income tax rates in Wales independently from those set by Westminster. This means that it can raise or lower income tax rates by up to 10p in each band.

Another important role of the Welsh Parliament is holding the Welsh Government to account. This involves questioning ministers on their policies and decisions during plenary sessions and committee meetings. It also includes scrutinising government spending plans through budget debates.

The work of the National Assembly for Wales goes beyond law-making and scrutiny activities; it also plays an important role in engaging with communities across Wales through outreach programmes such as school visits or public consultations about proposed legislation changes.

Overall, The National Assembly for Wales plays an essential role in representing people's interests across all aspects affecting them within their country while ensuring accountability from its government officials through various mechanisms like scrutiny committees or budget debates - making sure they deliver what they promised during election campaigns!
