Adorable local farm right in the heart of Springfield, Alexandria. It's fun includes free-range chickens, a pig you can pet and feed, and a seasonal pumpkin display that little kids love to play around in. Also, you can buy a certified sustainable agriculture share through their front desk. This place is a gem, if you like local food you should come visit!

Friendly staff. I got a succulent from here and the owner gave me advice on how to care for my plants. They have a wide selection of plants and flowers. Also My son loves visiting the pig and roosters.

Nalls is a fantastic community resource for all things plant and produce related and has assorted other fun stuff, to boot. The customer service is so far above my already high expectations. Nalls is very family friendly and the staff is patient, kind, and knowledgeable.

This was the second year we came here to get pumpkins. I found the pumpkins and decorations appealing. We are in the middle of a pandemic but every one was wearing masks. This has been a rough year for my family and many families. We stay home a lot but this was a ray of sunshine. We discovered that the squirrels won't eat painted pumpkins.

Cute produce stand, but a little overpriced in my opinion. Decent selection of in-season fruit and veggies, flowers and plants, and other items. If you love apple butter like I do, this is the spot to get it.

What a horrible experience!! Flowers and plants are overpriced and of average quality and selection. Unfortunately, the staff was not helpful in the least and very rude. I will never go back.

I had not been to Nalls in many years so I thought I d swing by and check it out. Arrived around 6:30 pm. Was shopping around for a few perennials and had placed several in my wagon. A few minutes after 7:00 pm I was told they were closed and had to leave. I asked if I could check out and I was told no and had to come back another time. I didn t realize they closed at 7, but a heads up a few minutes prior would have been nice...or at least let me check out with the flowers I had already selected. Never had that problem at Home Depot when they were closing. Seems like a nice place with much to choose from, but not too sure about their customer service. I won t be going back. Guess I ll stick with the limited selection at Home Depot.

A great place to go for produce sold with consumers in mind. You won't find this quality at a chain grocery store. Staff is friendly and they really make you feel a part of the community.

It s a year round indoor farmer s market! We get the crop share here and any additional fruits and vegetables and ice cream. The mocha chip is yummy! The majority of the plants and newer trees at our house are also from Nalls. You get to try new items in the pop up shops and Ed s El Diablo sausage, kale soup and marinara sauce are #1. We look forward to going there every week.

Really amazing produce. So very fresh. Very well organized. Fun animals there as well. And then there are all the plants. They are amazing. And they remind me to help bees and monarch butterflies by getting plants that help. Their help is well informed which really helps me out.

Great place for kids to visit. There are free-range chickens running around, a koi pond with turtles, and Penny the Pig who you can feed and pet. Also, in the Fall, there is an interactive pumpkin maze/wall for the kids. There are so many kinds of pumpkins!

We love the food as well, but it does need to be eaten quickly because it doesn't stay fresh too long. The other treats are locally made and fun to try.

Beware- I highly recommend this place but you will want to buy everything. I went here for the first time today and loved it! There were so many local goods and many of them very unique. You can find almost everything- eggs, milk, cheese, butter, honey, jams/preserves, oils, spices/spice blends, produce, goods - all local! It definitely had a farmer's market feel and the people there were very friendly. I went during Fall time so there were a lot of pumpkins and apple related products. Its a great place for families with kids but also if you're someone who likes local produce and goods like me.

I have been going to Nalls since the late 1970s. The plants they sell seem to improve every year. They are very well cared for, and seem to survive well in comparison to plants I have bought from other places.

Nalls Produce is a little piece of home every time I visit. I am from the country and anytime I need a pick-me-up in these suburbs, I visit here. I love how it is locally owned, fresh, and friendly. The only reason that holds me back from giving 5 stars is that it can be pricey - but overall this is a wonderful business and they do really well with their upkeep and inventory.

Quality experience and quality products. Well kept/maintained and the staff is very friendly. The teacup pig, roosters, hens, and geese are all great to keep kids interested and adults entertained.

Want to love this place as it s local and small business but really needs to get some customer service and organization around holiday time. Took our toddler and infant and after awhile found a Xmas tree, a $130 one at that. Had the guy take it to prep it we went to wait in line and pay. Go out to get tree and no one can locate the tree. Waited and waited and finally enough was enough had to wait in another line for a refund. Quickly turned our family trip sour. Merrifield has about 300 more trees and I am in and out.

Open for over 60 years ! One of the few small hometown businesses left! I see were some people complained about over pricing and go to Wegmans sure go to Wegmans and support the big chains ! The few hometown small Businesses are just trying to make it day by day . So support the hometown guy and he can lower his prices! Carey has the best of the best and uses Local farmers when Available. This Family owned Produce center is Amazing I Recommend!

Just bought my door wreath, gate swag & some yummy eats. Good selection of greenery outside, with produce and local foods inside. Staff very helpful. Great place to support small business Saturday.

Staff are very friendly and helpful, from recommendations of what kind of flowering trees to plant, to what kind of plants can deter deer. I tried their crop share program one winter, but the weekly basket was just too much for a single person to consume. Now they've got a much more flexible crop share to accommodate smaller households. I love the community events they hold, and how they work to promote small businesses by using their store to host pop-up shops for their products.

If you live in the area you need to stop by Nalls Produce. The family that runs Nalls will treat you like family. They are wonderful, helpful, and kind. I have been shopping here for eight years and have never been disappointed.

Nall's is not only a great place for produce, local products and gardening supplies, they sponsor fun community events through their partnership with the Kingstowne Communion. Last night's tree lighting, caroling and visits with Santa (in the snow) was fun for all and the hot apple cider flowed freely. It's wonderful to have such a fine local business in our community.

I have shopped here for the last year and have never had a good experience with the associates. They lack the above and beyond customer service you expect from a neighborhood shop and ability to proactively help customers. You will always be hunting someone down and the young associates are unable to assist. I saw this sign for the first time today (no dogs allowed) and laughed think oh that s what s wrong with this team!

Not only are the plants, shrubs, fruit, veggies and other local goods of wonderful quality, the people that work there are also amazing. Fall recommendations: pumpkins and gourds galore--you can never go wrong with any one of the incredible variety of pumpkins here. Also, the Nalls Fall Spice blend, the Apple Cider, the Apple Cider Donuts, the Snappy Pumpkin Ice Cream, the Apple and Pumpkin Butters, and the Apple Pie Preserves are all sure to be crowd pleasers!

I just want to give a shout out to the employees at Nalls for their most excellent and professional customer service. I am impressed by how organized they have been during this current crisis. It's stressful going out into the world right now, and the employees always make me feel safe and taken care of. Thank you, thank you for putting yourself at risk every day for us.

Disappointing and sad. I previously thought highly of this place, and while I thought the prices were high, I am all for supporting local businesses. However, if you do decide to purchase anything be careful and take a friend.

In my case, I purchased firewood from them. I decided to buy a container full (1/3 cord if I remember right). I paid for it, and went outside. The person told me I could go ahead and load it into my truck, and I asked if they would use the forklift. Then she told me there was a charge for the container. I told her it seemed reasonable to assume the firewood came with the container based on how they had them displayed, and since I already paid I asked if I could bring it back under the honor system. She refused, and called the owner to find out what the deposit would be. They then charged my credit card a second time for a deposit and then forklifted it into my truck.

After using the firewood (as another point of caution, I think the wood was green... it did not burn well), I dropped off the container and waited in line. When it was my turn, I greeted the lady behind the counter, and asked for the deposit on the firewood container. She curtly said you got your receipt? I told her I didn't but might still have it at home. She immediately started taunting and shaming me in front of all of the other customers, basically asking if anyone could believe I was trying to get a deposit without a receipt. I told her when people charge a deposit for something it s usually a standard amount, and the receipt is possession of the item. She said we don t even charge a deposit on those . So, I left to go get the receipt. On my way out, the owner (Cary) approached me, and began the public shaming routine too. Then started telling me loudly enough for others to hear, that I was a liar and he had been there for 30 years and never charged a deposit for one of those crates. I told him calling me a liar in front of other customers in the parking lot was uncalled for, and it seemed to me like there was $20 or $25 in value in keeping a customer rather than going down the path he was on (I admitted I didn t know for sure what their deposit was, but remembered it being $20 or $25, of course I assumed the deposit was standard). He told me if I had my receipt and could prove I wasn t lying he would give me the money. I told him, also loud enough for others to hear So your choice is to send me back to my house to search for this receipt just to prove you re full of it? At that point he exploded, and got in my face. He started screaming, and whipped out his wallet and said here take $30 and don t ever come back! I told him I didn t want $30 I wanted what I paid, and I was going to go get his receipt for him. He took a $10 back and pushed $20 at me, which I took.

When I got back home, I found the receipt which verified I had paid a $20 deposit, and that it had been Cary himself who told the person that night to charge me $20. So, I made a copy of the receipt and took it to them. I clarified with the rude woman behind the counter that it had been Cary I had talked to outside, and that it was his name on the receipt as the person who had instructed them to charge me. I told her ok well you can give it to him or not, I guess it doesn t matter and she immediately shot back you re right It DOESN T! Not sure what I did to inspire all this acrimony, but both of them could use some customer service lessons or just humanity lessons, especially since I was fairly cordial, even after repeated public shaming in front of other customers.

My advice, is first and foremost avoid the place. If you choose to go in, I recommend being careful and not going alone, especially if you are someone who is easily physically intimidated. The owner and some of the staff seem to be bullies, and will make fun of people or shame you publicly as well as get inside your physical space in the case of any disagreement.

Started the crop share this year, and always end up going home with much more produce than I went to pick up. Everything is fresh and lasts much longer than the items I buy in the grocery store. And it allows me to support local businesses!

The produce, the people, the goods... everything here is fantastic! We come in at least once a week to pick up fresh produce for our crop share and are always greeted with a smile. Bonus- the kids love saying hi to Penny the pig, the roosters, chickens, turtles, and the cats (Lugnuts and Boo Boo)! If you re in the area, stop by and support local business!

Awesome local produce and nursery. They have local eggs and milk available too in their store. My kids love that they have live chickens and a pig. I did their farm share box in the fall and we were happy with it, but I wish they had more recipes posted on their website to give you ideas for the box each week.
