Very friendly place with big, delicious breakfasts.

We had brunch and it was amazing! There was a little bit of a wait but it was well worth it (we checked in on yelp and saved us some wait time standing around). The staff and owner were so nice! We had a wonderful experience and would recommend to anyone.

Eggs benedict is mediocre, I had to bring high chair myself. Owner is super friendly, can't sya the same about other staff.

Went there for eggs Benedict (they have several kinds of them), but we ended up getting the Huevos Rancheros and the Chicken Quesadilla - the food is fantastic. We had a server whose name is Luann, she was great & had a bubbly personality. If you're close by there, definitely check it out.

They're doing some construction or painting outside, so you may not see the restaurant sign, but look for the red-orange building, line outside, bus stop out front. We put our name on the list when we arrived at 11:30am, and it was about a 20-30 minute wait. Well worth it!

Very good price for the area. The wait time is honestly not bad either during the weekends and it's even better between the hours of 8am-10am (no wait time)



If you're looking for a good brunch with your partner or your family this will be the spot!

What a spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner! The New Spot on Polk hits the bull's eye with great wait staff, good coffee, large portions of yummy food and a pleasant atmosphere.

Warm, friendly place with the best service I have ever seen... anywhere. The staff knows the preferred dishes of locals and are so experienced they proactively act to fulfill your culinary wishes. Food was delicious, served in minutes, piping hot and fresh. These folks are really trying hard to make a good space for us. Tons of respect.

Local sports bar in Los Feliz. Visited on a Thursday for happy hour. One thing that is noticeable right away is how hard it is to get in & out of their mini parking lot. It's small and tightly packed in the back. There's minimal street parking and it's on the busy road so I wouldn't advise it.

There were a variety of happy hour specials and the portion sizes were large! I enjoyed the sweet potato fries and turkey burger just wish the turkey burger was cooked for a bit longer. My cocktail wasn't memorable but my friend enjoyed her cider and tequila flight. I wanted to try to churro & ice cream dessert but I was stuffed after my meal!

Delicious diner food! I had the eggs bene with corned beef hash. Potatoes on the side were delicious great flavor great portion size great service.

This spot is cute, great location and fantastic menu variety. The food is pretty tasty, though they still seem to be working out some kinks... we ordered an appetizer that arrived after our mains, I got pieces of fried chicken in my french fries, and I ordered a BLT but got a club sandwich. But hey, everyone has their off days! I'll be back.

Food was delicious loved the maple butter. And on top of it all. the waitress, Louian, was wonderful, made you feel anything you've pick was the best thing on the menu. And it is. Definitely recommend

The New Spot on Polk is a great new addition to Polk St. where you can get your favorite diner-style food. They have a large menu that also has a few healthier options. Staff was great. They are also running a promotion on Groupon right now.

Takeout, delivery, and outside dining available. My friend enjoyed his chicken fried steak and eggs and my Denver omelette was excellent on a recent brunch.

Great all day breakfast place with amazing freshly squeezed juices. They also cater well to people that are dairy and gluten sensitive. Highly recommend the hangover omelette. The staff is also super nice making a deserved 5 star experience.

From the owner of Polkers comes a tasty spot with yummy food & great service! They have the legendary curly fries and chicken sandwich that were my go-to's at Polkers. A welcome addition to the Russian Hill hood!

The Asian chicken salad was excellent! The tiramisu was fresh, homemade and out of this world Loved dinner so much we came for breakfast the next day. Side note the owners /managers are so friendly and delightful we felt like regulars and not tourist.

Ate here for dinner and it was excellent! Very good lox sandwich and buffalo chicken sandwich, excellent sweet potatoes fries. Walked right in with no wait and had great service. Definitely coming back!

Good diner for casual brunches, probably the best at this end of Polk, hence the long wait for tables. Not a cheap brunch however, but portions are certainly chunky.

Very generous portions. Outdoor seating was available for COVID times. Enjoyed the food, I got the crispy Buffalo sandwich and partner got one of the omelettes. We had left over food!

Very cozy small American snack bar. The grades were good and we were surprised that there were not enough people inside. They gave me to try the soup of the day, that I would understand what it was, it was chic-corn . Everything is very tasty, really everything. The waitress, very sociable and smiling) put the institution a solid 5. I advise everyone)

What a great restaurant !!! I had bacon burger with garlic fries and my wife had avocado chicken salad. Love the food and the great hospitality.

The coffee is fantastic, food was good, and the diner is small and personable. I'd definitely come back if I were out in San Francisco, especially for the coffee.

Fish and chips: fish was too bready and greasy, the chips were soft, not crispy. Cobb salad with salmon: good flavor, lots of bacon resulting in a bit too salty of an after taste, but otherwise, good.

Good food, good service and consistency! Burgers and the Cobb salad are my favorites and you have to try their shake if you have room left!

Fantastic breakfast spot with great food and amazing service. The wait staff were super friendly and made me feel like a regular despite it being my first time here. Service was quick with my food coming out almost immediately. The skillet was well seasoned with a little bit of heat but not too spicy at all.
It sounds like it's usually busy with a wait on the weekends but during the week it's a great spot for a quick and delicious breakfast.

I don't know if this picture says it all, but this was one of the best Mushroom Swiss burgers I've ever experienced!

The price makes sense for the size and amount given. I could barely finish half the burger, but I m a medium sized woman.
Hand is 8 , plate is very large and filling. come if you are VERY hungry.
Customer feedback is highly respected, the owner clearly cares about his business.

Fish and chips are amazing and taste fresh. Doesn t taste like the fish is frozen.

Cons:
Bathroom can smell and look better, but the owner will hopefully improve this by the time you visit.
I wish there was an option for a smaller burger for a cheaper price. I don t want to pay $17 for burger with fries that I will only be able to eat half of in one sitting, I d rather pay less and finish my whole plate.

If you loved Polker's as I did, you will fall in love with The New Spot. A lot of what Polker's was made better, if you can believe that. The rustic interior has a nice cozy feel with plenty of room to spread out. The food offerings are amazing! Plenty on the menu to satisfy from breakfast to dinner. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

The New Spot is the best spot on Polk St! Best chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy in the neighborhood. The burgers are excellent as well. They offer curly fries and will sub them for potatoes.

Great service! Friendly smiling servers...burgers juicy and flavorful. We had the sweet potato fries with our burgers Tastiest ones ive had. The sweet potato flavor really comes out. Salad was very fresh but the dressing was only okay. I wouldnt recommend it. But everyrhing else was really really tasty.
